      Hey, I'm a mexican and thought the same thing, but suddenly there is a team and a new place to play it in Mexico City (tho I don't live there) but don't give up, maybe it gets popular or you can get to a country that plays it more!

      You and me both. Curling just looks so awesome. The skill, the precision and tactics. I looks like chess on ice.

    I've been wracking my brain for a week now trying to figure out who John Shuster reminds me of, and it finally occurred to me. For some reason he reminds me of Tony Sly.

    I used to make fun of this sport until I started watching it in the last last winter olympics. This video shows so much more perspective in how hard this sport really is!

    Reminds me of the 1st time I played Frisbee golf. The guy I played with was pretty good. I thought to myself "that looks easy," and proceeded to throw it into the ground 4 feet infront of me 😄

    Overall , good video. Correction at 16:03. That is called a BURNED stone, not a HOGGED stone.

    The entire time I thought you have to keep it straight! Makes sense how you have to do it clockwize! To left or right to get the point! I wanna try now! 😂😂

    An error: 16:05 it is not called a hogged stone, it is a burnt stone when it is touched by a broom. Hogged rocks are when they don’t cross the hog line into the field of play

    • @hidsgi-games5369
      @hidsgi-games5369 2 года назад

      Also, burned stones are only immediately removed when the touch happens between the hog lines, after the second hog, the opposing team can decide what to do with it (remove, keep, correct).
      Unless that's been changed in the last 3 years.

    true lesson one would be how to respect the ice surface; the entire game relies on being able to read that surface and adapt your interactions with it.
