Our First Potato Harvest! Zone 7b Homestead Garden Update

We’ve learned a lot from our RUclips family that we’ll be applying now that we’re turning our beds over for the next round of planting. We appreciate all your positive comments and helpful tips.
Some Garden Lessons Learned So Far
-plastic owl moved regularly can keep away squirrels 🐿️
-top coat of compost around plant bases
-amend/fertilize like clockwork ⏰
- self watering system like olla/ unglazed terracotta
- Subscribed to new gardening channel recommendations: Robbie & Gary Gardening, Homestead Hart

Your children are learning so much. You know most kids think vegetables come from the grocery store. I think the bugs are rolly pollies, they break down debris. ( pinestraw). Try wood chips next time. Beautiful lessons..
