Henry said Ravens was always his first choice. He said he was surprised Dallas didnt call, but Ravens were still his first preference. It was meant to be!! plus he still owes us one after 2019 playoff game..
Thank you! It's getting old hearing people act like if the Cowboys picked up the phone, Henry was guaranteed to go there. We wanted to go to Baltimore cuz he knows what they're about and knew they were interested in him already b/c EDC tried to swing a trade for him mid-season last year, but it fell through.
The Ravens have been rushing over 100 yds for 38 consecutive games, if i am not mistaken Derrick Henry has only played 6 of those games,. Yes his impact has been amazing, but his rush lanes are so much bigger because of Lamar
You think it's tough for defenses to stop the Raven's run game now, just wait until we get Keaton Mitchell back in a few weeks. What a RB group that's going to be at full strength - Henry, Hill, and Mitchell, and of course LJ will be running the ball down opponent's throats.
The Ravens didn't wait until losing the AFC Championship to seek Derrick Henry, they actually tried to trade for him BEFORE the playoffs that season. This trade likely would've led to a Ravens Super Bowl that year!
One thing that helps henry to be a great closer for the ravens: they dont need to use him all game like Tennessee did because they have other good ball carriers and lamar that can torch a defense with his arm. By the time the 4th qt comes, defenses are worn down while henry legs are still fresh. That helps him close games.
@@blick5511 true but i dont think we understand how much MORE the titans used him LMAO. Derek Henry is still first in carries this year but with the titans, he would be first in carries but by miless ahead...

2019 season, Lamar's first MVP season. The Ravens defense couldn't stop Henry despite Lamar's efforts, especially with wrs that don't exist in the league anymore except Hollywood Brown.
@@ScottsGuitarinjured. If he was healthy, Ravens fans would be talking about how big of a weapon he was for Mahomes while they downplayed his impact in Baltimore
Everyone seems to forget we had major off season adjustments on the team, and we still almost beat KC on game 1. Them boys are finding their groove and looking dangerous af moving forward. If the D gets straight, watch out.
Thank you for your honesty TJ Everybody thought Henry was washed !! Every running back has had damn near a career year with Lamar Henry still had some tread but if he was asked to run 30 times a game for Dallas he would look bad
at what point will the national media drop the "Derrick Henry couldve been a cowboy" Narrative? Henry has gone on record multiple times saying his first choice was Baltimore, and that Dallas didn't even call him. Jerry Jones has gone on record saying they werent interested. This was never a thing. Stop trying to make it a thing.
Growing up watching bigger RBs/FBs punishing the Dline like the Bus, Mike Alstott, and Brandon Jacobs trucking the living ISH out of Charles Woodson (lol), DH is DIFFERENT! That size & speed is mind boggling
Lamar's presence causes so much hesitation as the first and second level of the defense that there were times when Gus Edwards (Who is now on the Chargers averaging 3 YPC) was averaging over 5 YPC. That's how much the mere presence of Lamar affects defenses and the success of RBs. So you knew, that once Henry got in the same backfield as him, he was going to do serious damage.
Am not going to lie i had my doubts when we signed henry but then i figured out and learned that they didn't use him right for 8 years and he is finally the RB he wants to be 💜😈💜👑👑💪💪💪
Henry is proving the haters wrong.. he nearly doubled his output through the first 4 weeks. After game one in a brand new offense they talked about him not being that guy anymore. Feels good to be a ravens fan right now, and most people don’t even know what’s coming when Keaton Mitchell comes back.. lead the league with backup running backs for years now we have two legit stars
The Ravens was just depleted at RB in the championship game. I do think they should have run more but it's understandable they didn't given the lack of quality RB's. They picked up Henry for his availability as much if not more so than for his production
Lamar has absolutely no touch 😂 every throw he throws is a bullet, as hard as he can. Never throws to open a receiver, only when the receiver is open and he'll try to gun it in there as fast as possible before the defender can catch up, doesn't always work out. Fortunately they have some speedy receivers and some talented tight ends that are able to make plays but they lack the one guy that Lamar could just throw it up to and and have them go and make a play. Anquan Boldin was a beast at this and even a few years with Torrey Smith. Wish the Ravens had Steve Smith for more than his few years be cause he was a monster as well.
NO, we ran him enough...we don't want him getting hurt! If we had our Power back, they should have run him. That is all that happened! We are upcoming and need to protect our QB.
The analysis of the AFC championship games seems lacking...Ravens did not run the ball but how many screens and back field passes to rbs and wrs did they run. It seemed they did not trust their backs to run between the tackles. I love Gus but he is not the guy. He is not getting touches right now. He was the feature in the playoffs due to all the injuries.

If I am the LB and the FB comes through the hole followed by DHenry, I'm making a "business decision". 😂😂😂
I've never heard anybody say the phrase " He plays like a Cowboy" and Derrick Henry in the same sentence. He " plays like a Raven". Nuff said.
Does that mean he always blows it in the playoffs? 🤔

Teams had a chance to get Henry and balked. Teams had a chance to get Lamar and passed. These are no brainer decisions. GM’s / owners have CTE too
Literally answered his own question …so how would that work in Dallas ? Is DAK and Lamar same player ?
The Titans with D Henry went to the AFC Conference championship game in 2019 but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 35-25.
2:43 Henry was performing behind the terrible Titans line. Dallas has better line than them.
Henry is have a resurgence but Lamar has been doing this with whomever they put in the backfield with him.

Almost like without Henry the ravens wouldn’t be as dangerous
and every opportunity KH gets he gives all praise to his OLine and receivers for blocking for him

Dallas is terrible and Derrick Henry is smart enough to know that. The Ravens will be hard to stop now. Dallas is a mid level team at best.
