Most of the exotics in the "maybe should work section" simply dont because their descriptions dont mention the verbs (e.g. ticuus doesnt say that it *ignites* marked targets hit by an aimed shot, it just causes them to explode). I thought vexadecimal would but im guessing its because champ stunning checks if the player has the volatile rounds buff, not whether the damage source applies volatile or not. Ditto for collective obligation. Hopefully the ones that make sense like collective will get updated like how sunshot got scorch on kill explosions.

Ticuu's doesn't scorch+ignite it applies a completely different effect with a different functionality. Vexadecimal and void leech apply volatile, but they don't give you volatile rounds. Trinity is different. Its chain lightning actually counts as a fusion rifle. So even though you have overload bow, you aren't actually dealing damage with a bow. Bombardiers is honestly a disgrace. Bungie intentionally made all the verbs not interact with actual verbs for "balance reasons". Scorching someone with a grenade and then dodging won't ignite them. Slowing someone with a melee and then dodging won't freeze them. Dodging and then getting a precision kill won't create a blinding explosion. Only severing does anything but that's only because severing doesn't have any synergy with strand in the first place (another strange issue). It doesn't apply verbs, it applies effects with the same names as verbs. It honestly needs to change. I've always mained them and it's just frustrating to see Bungie add these subclass effects, only for them to not actually do anything when trying to make a build.

Yeah, same, I put it on in my car to absorb the audio while I was commuting and then realized it was just gameplay lol. I rarely sit still so was definitely trying to get the info while multi tasking. Will get to it during a poo for sure though 😎
It's pretty cool how bungie upgraded the champion stunning system but it's inconsistent. An example that I've seen multiple times is the volatile anti-barrier system. It could say you have volatile but occasionally the dang weapon won't pierce, it's even more dangerous if you have a rocket launcher because if that system don't work, that rocket will come flying right back at you
Something really cool about Queenbreaker that I actually told the Destiny Compendium people about and they updated it. The chaining effect it does also gets the unstoppable trait, so you can stun multiple unstoppable champions in one shot if they're close enough for the shot to chain.
It's not technically a "stun" since it doesn't show in the notification chat, but hoarfrost-z barricades can freeze a barrier champ while it is in its barrier if you are right next to it. Glacier grenades too if you throw them to the side and have them grow into the barrier. This lets stasis titans have a pretty easy time stunning all 3 champs.
Thanks for the videos. But you forgot something. - Cadmus Ringe Lancecap, can make lances and freeze unstoppable with multiple hit with every weapon - Prometeus lens can do ignition. - Cryosthesia, can stun overloads if shoot near them
Any fusion rifle with Chill Clip can stun Unstoppables and Overloads quite easily. Since they're legendary weapons, this makes it very easy to simply run an exotic with intrinsic anti-barrier or use an artifact mod to stun barriers
A tip for unstop stunning with ttf: You can reliably ignite on solar or void subclasses using ember of char to apply more scorch or echo of domineering to auto reload the rocket for a quick followup shot
Super disappointed in the Bombardiers, there's no reason why they shouldn't work. Great video though, definitely showcased a few weapons i had completely forgotten about, thanks for your work!
Honestly would be nice if a few of these were changed to overload or barrior weapons. So many of the exotics stun unstoppable champions compared to overload and barrier stunning exotics.
tommys matchbook doesnt apply scorch yet, but it will in season 21 so very soon, and with ashes it should only take 25 overheat shots to cause an ignition (2 seconds of sustained fire)
good to know, but i just wish the artifact didn't forced you to pick X amount of perks on 1 column before unlocking the next making it that you have to unlock perks you don't need at all for your builds.

I feel like you missed testing Gyrfalcons with 2 tailed fox with the catalyst to see if it can defeat barrier Champs, I have tried using the seasonal artifact mod that gives volatile rounds to void weapons and it doesn't seem to work for the void rocket, however, you did use volatile rounds on a legendary void rocket, so, I wonder if Gyrfalcon may be able to override that.
How was the slowing on the Unstoppable with Hoarfrost a “fail.” Shattering Stasis crystals also stuns Unstoppables, which I don’t think was showcased here.
So touch of malice "blinds" enemies and therefore stunning unstops? Huh I wonder if that is intentional because I don't think it has been mentioned by Bungie at all...
revision zero cannot intrinsically stun barrier champions with its normal fire. the only reason it does in this video is because of anti-barrier pulses in season of defiance. The sniper shot hunter trace is required for the barrier stunning for rev-0.

this video is a really good example of how some exotics need to be buffed or changed because they just do not hold up darci is a good example. and i'm gonna say what i've been saying for years, its a relic of year 1 and if they made it a special ammo sniper it might actually be kinda viable for use in a "I want to use something different" way
Completely agree with you. Power creep is a real thing. And Darci in the power slot is basically useless. Would be a much more viable special weapon. Or it needs a buff to be a heavy. I’d prefer to see it be a special

@Alex Knight well it would need an actual damage buff still. But making it special is certainly a giant step in the direction of making it viable for use. It's a weapon that gives you easy access to jolting, which makes it decent for anti-champion and arc builds. As it currently stands I think it's out damaged by every sniper in the game and it's an exotic heavy, rakes up two valuable slots. As a special, it could fill some weird niches for builds and could sit in a weird alternate easier access choice than cloudstrike for pve. At the very least it could be a fun weapon for casual use

It doesnt work because by default the effect are Unstop sure, but that's ALSO Bow Overload this season. Same for Deterministic Chaos, basically it should weakens the champ so made for Overload but you cant have both, this and A-B with Volatile... Yeah it's pretty confusing and Bungie need to simplify the thing like "if an exotic can stun one type of champion with their own unique effect, they cannot stun an other type of champs and doesn't stack with seasonal artifact".
they would make it something stupid like only the aoe will stun, and it wont then double dip with other verbs like radiant antibarrier since osteo is really good with starfire
Technically, none of the weapons that apply freeze can stun as it's the shatter. Enemies can get unfrozen cases by you just doing nothing. Now yes shattering from the freeze does stun, but it's important to note.
lol the reason Ticuu's and Tommy's don't stun is because you were using overload mods on unstoppable champions it looks like xD Ticuu's is not an ignite so makes sense that it doesn't stun the unstoppable but I have no idea where you were going with Tommy's

Hadn't considered that Cadmus might be useful for champs. Btw Cryostesia radius only slows in PvP. In PvE it's all freeze.
