We agree. We elaborated here that though age is not directly correlated with accidents, it has higher risk of accidents if not properly maintained compared to newer versions of plane.

Comprehensive repair is done every 2 years, and it is normal for airlines to fly to Pokhara for such, due to space concern in TIA.
