    George: You’re the best!!!!! You stay focused and educate! I am tired of “resellers” who waste time talking about their families and problems in their videos. Go to a therapist and keep your kids out of the videos. Please:: give your family some privacy!!

      I thank you for that and I’m glad you get what my emphasis is! I have people at home to talk to about personal problems. I don’t mind the kids if it helps get them interested in old stuff (my parents took me to antique shops starting age 10), just let’s focus on the things we all like together

    Good evening, George. Those fishing floats were great. I'd like to have some of them, in different colours, to group together as a display. Loved the Chandler watercolour. The chess set, on the teak table, got my attention. I wish I still had all of the chess sets I used to have. That feather hat looked like it was about to lay an egg 😂 Those post-mortem cards can be super-expensive, especially from early C20. I would probably had to buy the tape measure, with the old fridge on it. I really liked that one. The Nippon mug, with the deer on it, would've definitely come home with me. Loved that! I'd hang the old checkers board on the wall. I used to have a 1940s Chinese checkers board that I framed and used as wall art...sold it...wish I still had it. I also had a 1940s Monopoly board that I used as wall art...sold it, too 😑 I have one Blenko beverage set - a juice set. I really like it because it doesn't have that pinched, funky-looking ice lip spout on the pitcher. I'm not too fond of pitchers with ice lips, but I do have a very minimal amount of sets with them. I'd like to find a complete, 1920s Betty Bright aluminium lunch pail...that I could afford. Those were fun places, with several items that caught y eye. Thanks for taking us along!

    • @TheAntiqueNomad
      @TheAntiqueNomad  4 месяца назад +2

      Hello there! I really enjoy the floats too. I remember as a kid we could find them on occasion in Puget Sound, and definitely at the Washington coastal beaches (along with lots of Japanese trash that floated there too). That hat was not meant for most people! I like anything with a monitor top fridge, except a monitor top fridge itself...I never wish to move such a beast ever again. I thought well of the Nippon mug too...like the checker boards idea...I will have to look up that specific lunchh pail but I can picture it in my mind's eye. I have a Blenko twin-spout pitcher for the same reason! Glad you had fun and saw a lot in this one.

    • @CONSTELLATION_PEGASUS
      @CONSTELLATION_PEGASUS 4 месяца назад +1

      @@TheAntiqueNomad If I was somewhere those floats washed up on shore, I'd probably have them hanging from the ceiling 😂 I'd never be able to leave even one of them. I certainly agree with you, on that hat 🙃😆 I used to work with a guy that restored the old monitor top fridges. He would remove the panels and insulate them with foam insulation, and, once fully restored, they worked beautifully. They do, though, weigh, at least, half-an-ounce 😉😫😅 I don't see many pieces of Nippon with wildlife decoration on them, so that one really appealed to me. The R S Prussia pieces, with wildlife on them, still command really good prices. I have a couple pieces of Betty Bright aluminium - a cocktail shaker and a cream bucket with lid and a wood knob . I'd like to find some cordials/cups for the shaker, too. I think the lunch pail came in three pieces. It seems the Betty Bright aluminium isn't too easy to find. The cocktail shaker I have is the only one I've ever seen, and the cream bucket, with the wood knob, is the only one like that I've seen, too. I wonder if most of the pieces were donated during WWII, since it was made in the 1920s.

      I tell prices on some things but not all when I’m showing a retail store because I like for the emphasis to be on the item and why it’s desirable more than just on whether it’s a bargain or not
