The ballet dolls are really cute. Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of the molded on tops and painted leggings. I would just get them just for the head so I could attach them to a Made To Move body.
Same. I saw one with the Daya face mode and almost got for that alone but I have so many Daya’s and that’s just a waste of a doll. Do kids want dolls with purple legs? Did I miss the memo?
Lighter Than Air is my favorite! I've had the christmas ornament version of her since I was very little. I want to save money to buy her full size (she's porcelain!)
The I Love Lucy doll does have a nightmarish face😂 They went for comedic and just got this. However, the pose is meant to be ridiculous because the scene is about Lucy being awful and uncoordinated at ballet. It’s pretty show-accurate lol

Soloist (good ) 3. Junior Dancer (okay ) 4. Stage Fright (Head Empty ) 5. Clumsy/Couldn't stick the landing (bad but it gets worse ) 6. Two left feet (burn it )
Ballet ranks just below fairies as my favourite Barbie theme, it just seems so magical! Lighter than Air is my favourite classic ballerina doll but Barbie as Juliet ranks even higher despite not having the classic silhouette, she’s just stunning though. Also adore Barbie as Titania and the Swan Lake movie dolls, for obvious fairy related reasons xD

I love all your doll ranking videos. Very informative. I don't know how far back you intended to go. However you missed 1975/76 "Ballerina Barbie". She was one of the last with the TNT face sculpts before they completely changed over to the "Superstar" face. Anyway, great video! Thanks!

My favorites are: Marizapan, Prima Ballerina, the anniversary one with the retro face, Lighter than Air, Swan Princess, the snowflakes one, Flower Ballerina, Nutcracker 1st, Peppermint Candycane, Odette. Not in that order. I like the retro faces because I grew up with them and they have a special place in my heart. There is one you didn’t show called “Barbie The Swan Birds of Beauty”. I believe she is a Ballerina also and she’s really pretty. And I forgot about Titania Midsummer Nights Dream Ballerina Barbie. I really love her 💜. I have an idea for another ranking you can do if you wish. It’s all the Goddess Barbie’s. I believe there are at least 20 of them from different series. Anyhow I enjoyed this and hope you have a wonderful rest of your evening & weekend 💜

Ballet isn't necessarily my theme either, but one thing I really appreciate about modern MTM ballerina dolls (like Nutcracker Ballerina of The Realms or 2021 Ballet Wishes) is that they have amazingly delicate hand poses and feet sculpts with tiny realistic looking toes. I feel like not many people know/talk about it (or maybe I'm just geeking about it lol).

It’s interesting that the older ballerina Barbies have knee articulation but not elbow articulation. When you coughed, my dog started barking and suddenly I started coughing too 😅😂 I’ve only seen a few I Love Lucy Barbies but have never seen a ballerina one! My only guess is that it must be from the show and based on clips I’ve seen, that pose she’s in is probably on purpose. The Lighter than Air Barbie truly is perfect, she looks like a painting! It’s not just you-Ballet Annika looks really off proportionally. I mean, they do have pink shoes 😂 Yeah that hideous set was the anniversary for the Nutcracker movie 😳 Odette is so beautiful 😍😍 I had no idea Barbie made so many ballet dolls, but I’ve never paid attention to them before.
As someone who has a very surface level understanding of I Love Lucy, that doll is perfect. Lucy in the show is portrayed as a dreaming starlet (married to a star) and while she's charismatic and sometimes talented, more often than not (at least by my understanding), her attempts to become famous end in comedic wackiness and physical comedy as Lucy is too clumsy to succeed in most tasks. There's a very famous scene from the show where for some reason she is working in a chocolate factory and comedy ensues when she is unable to pack the choclates fast enough to keep up with a conveyor belt swiftly moving the chocolates past her. Lucy would be the type of character to attempt and fail to do ballet and make that face while doing it.
The camera is a little wonky the past two videos and it triggers me for no apparent reason- I just hope it gets fixed cause your beautiful face gets EVER SO SLIGHTLY blurred 😭💙
