We had the White Elephant here in the McAllen, TX. Had lots of cool stuff. I still have my bong that I bought when I was 13 years old. Yea, mature beyond my years and I liked the strawberry flavored rolling paper and psychedelic black light posters. My bong is a naked lady, you load it on the bottom, fill with water, smoke through top of her head.
Oh my gosh! I will pray 🙏 for him. I am glad he is on the mend, though. He is such a talented artist. I still hope I get the chance to interview him. I had I near strike recently in meeting him.
Not sure why it wasn’t mentioned but the Red Victorian had a very long run as one of the coolest independent cinemas as an art house showing international films and high-quality, offbeat documentaries including many screenings of films by the late, great Les Blank. Les documented a lot of the Summer of Love in 35mm photography and 16mm cinematography. His foundation continues to this day as a film distributor, and a rich source for stock images & stock footage for documentaries & feature films.
"summer" ? Constant 25mph wind and a high of 64 degrees. Shivery and miserable as the sun begins to set. No wonder they ingested every chem placed in front of them.
People think of San Diego and Santa Cruz as beach towns but forget that SF is a beach town as well. SF is a peninsula surrounded by water. Of course it’s foggy and chilly in many of the districts except the Mission.
Love your voice and cadence really well done 😊❤ subject matter AWESOME!!!!
Great video. Great information. Visited there winter of '68. Indelible memories of a bygone era.
