Barry Ziza thanks so much for that. Tried connecting red to battery and it goes off. Got a black/white which I think is the ground on my bike. Does that go to the green/black on the plug? Been a total nightmare lol
Thanks again for the help. I thought I would share my experience installing on my 1984 Honda Magna V65. For the tach, I followed your advice and wired into the blue wire of the pulse generator, but I programmed the speedometer for 2 cylinders instead of my 4. My MPH reading is more accurate by just programming a higher number for the circumference /number of magnets. I'm using 818 and it's much more accurate. Thanks again
FUEL GAUGE Some of the posts on this and other videos state that grounding the fuel gauge wire (blue and white) will cause the fuel gauge to stop flashing. With my ones (3 of them) this was not the case. I have found that you need to ground it via a resistance of between 30 to 500 ohm. Anything more or less wont have any effect. 500ohm displays 1 bar (of 8) i.e. almost empty. 30ohm displays 8 bars (full). (about 330ohm is half full etc.) So if grounding the fuel wire doesn't work for you, try grounding it through a resistor between 30 and 500 ohms.
That's for the Video, i'll buy that one. It seems quite good for the money. I did not know how the Tachometer is connected. Are you still satisfied so far? Will the settings be cleared if the battery is disconnected?
hi. I have a '75 CB360. The neutral light is not on the dial, it's on the middle panel. As far as the visual, can you see the N when not in use, or it is it pretty camelflaged when not lit? Also, the odometer being replaced only has two wires going out. I like that low batt feature on yours. Will that speedo pickup on that automatically, or is it a separate lead? thx!
Nice vid, for wiring the the indicators on the gauge, should I follow the wire diagram for my bike, to where I need to splice the ground and power or do I just connect it straight since the gauge has its on power and ground?
Hi DRugfree1987! Great video, I found the same speedo and want to mount it on a Honda CM400. May I ask you what tires you have on your bike? I'm absolutely in love with them, but can't find brand and model to see if I can buy them for my CM400. Thanks!

Helpful vid, what did you put in for the speedo numbers, the info I have seen says the circumference of the tyre, in my case 120/70 17 is approx 1860mm but you can only put in 3 numbers! Do you have to put in the amount of magnet pickups? The oil sensor is the fuel sensor 1=100 Ohms and 5=500 Ohms depending on the sender you have in the tank.
+DRugfree1987 But then 777 is way off from 1860 how have you got to this number? I could do with understanding this, where have you fitted your magnets, how far are they away from the spindle?
+The Alchemist The wheel circumference divided by number of magnets, if you have 1 meter circumference and two magnets you have 1000mm / 2 = 500mm. I have 5 magnets on mine so for me the same circumference would be divided in 5 = 200mm
Hi all, looking into this speedometer for my cafe racer. Love how it looks and works on the video. What’s your recommendations after installing it? Does it work properly?

Thanks again for the video. Here's my experience with my 1984 Honda Magna V65.... My MPH setting is more accurate by playing with the numbers, rather than following the instructions. I programmed in 818, much better than diameter / the 3 magnets that I'm using. Also, I set it for 2 cylinders instead of my 4, and followed your advice and wired into the blue wire of the pulse generator. Thanks again
I have some doubts DRugfree1987 - The tacho/speedo I got, has a very short rpm cable. Can I use some other cable to link it and then wrap it around the spark plug cable? 2nd - Is there a way to change the firing cycle? .5, 1 or 2? like 1 pulse per 2 revs, 1 pulse every rev (wasted spark) ... that way. Is there a way to change it?
Hi just wanna ask how did you make the battery indicator work? What wires did you connect it too?, Because mine is not working. When turning the key on it won't lit up with the rest of the speedometer..
Hi I just bought this speedometer and the eBay seller didn't include full instructions. Your video has helped with some of my questions, but now I'm curious about the margnets. The speedometer sent to me has three magnets. Does the speedo use all three or are they sent as spares?
Justin Duncan of I remember correctly. to get it set up right you have to measure the wheel in mm. then if you have 2 magnets you will then divide that number by two. and if you use three magnets you divide it by three that's how you get the number you need to put in the tach for wheel size. that helpef
so I figured out how to change the 3 digit tire/ wheel size and save it on the menu. The problem is is that all other universal speedometers I have seen have a 4 digit tire diameter code in millimeters. This gauge as you know has only 3 digits. I think it's 50-999. What measurement is this supposed to be? What did you enter based on your wheel dimensions?
Just a quick question, do you know if the Acewell digital conversion speedo cables would work with one of these so you can get away from mounting all the stuff on the wheel/caliper?
I'm wondering if you have the wiring colour coding figured out? I have the same gage and I have an older which has a pink wire and no purple wires. Any wiring help would be greatly appreciated
just wondering. by any chance this can be used on a 1 cylinder? I really like it cuz its simple and complete for my honda 125cc scrambler build. thanks for the response
+DRugfree1987 thanks man!!! will buy one soon =) will update soon. hope it match my honda bike. Im still thinking how to mount the speedo on a drum brake haha
DRugfree1987 I should be okay to change speed, fuel and such and leave it ready for the single cylinder. I got everything but the fuel to read correct, the rpm, and the speed sensor to read at all. so I know its something to do with the setting configuration. Filled up the tank and took a 2 hour ride and it says empty so I'm assuming change resistance. I'm gonna try the blue wire off my ignition coil. and do the math for 5 magnets and my 17 inch wheel size.
+Melvin Jerremiah Gepte I heard that a well, have not tried it, I will though because it's not responding very well. If not i will just leave it bouncy lol. Thanks
Hi guys, I just purchased this speedo and my only concern is the wiring for the gear indicator, it mentions that N, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are "NEGATIVE GEAR CONNECTION", so I assume it must ground to activate that gear number, but my motorcycle (Vento Tornado 250cc) only sends ground on N while all others are voltage... do I need to build relay fixes for each wire or does this device work with this configuration? Thanks in advance
I have installed this on my single cylinder motorbike but accidently i pressed in setting and now i have only two options 2 & 4, how to get back to 1? Is there any full reset option?
Sorry, sorry my english but i'm using google translator, i wanted to ask you a question; I have purchased your own speedometer but I can not run the tachometer how can I do it? I have a ducati monster 600 with carburettors and I can not get it running, could you give me a hand? thank you so much
OK, so in reply to this, I have used my fuel gauge as a temp gauge on Kawasaki 454LTD. How in the heck did you wire the sixth gear as your low oil indicator? Was it as easy as just using the wire for the oil idiot light to the 6th gear wire?
Hey maybe you could help me out or someone in the comments with a nighthawk 550 or 650, so I have the speedo wired up and everything works on the speedo, the only problem I am having is that when I turn the bike it turns on and runs for a little but then turns off, after it turns off it doesn’t turn back on. I’m not sure what it is, I grounded all the ground wires but I left the black and striped brown wires lose, I found that they were positive wires but I have no idea where they go. So my question really is what are the black and brown positive wires on your bike and where did you connect them to?
Hi Sir, I bought same as yours, I have a yamaha v-star 2000, what if I connect speed wires from original speedometer to the new one? Would it work? My original speedometer is analog, do you know if there's an analog/digital converter inside or I absolutely need to install a bracket for the sensor?
You will need to check the wiring diagram. It's not super hard but can be a bit challenging if you dont know what you're doing. Take your time. You will get it. And the speedo works off a sensor and magnets. There are some good video out there to help you. And the rpm wire goes to the sensing wire. That runs to the timing sensor.
Mine did not work as well on fuel. I had to go to the main menu and selected setting 1 to 5. As soon as did hold for the next 5 secs after setting number 5, the speedometer restarted and the fuel reading was working ok. The tricky part is to get it reboot i guess after setting number 5. Its reading full because the resistance or the resistance range is too off. You need to get a multi meter and set it to Ohms (AUTO), and make sure it reads 8 Ohms when empty and 98 when full. This is the fuel sender Ohm range for this speedometer as per the poor manual. Not sure but I guess you can mode the end points of your bikes gauge with resistors to be in the range of this speedometer requirements or else there is a way to to program it maybe to accept different ranges? I am using this speedometer for my personal project and my fuel sender reads around 40+ Ohms when empty and 220+ Ohms when full so i will try to make it to be in the range of 8 to 98 Ohms. If I manage to do it then I will share here. Connections/wiring for those who cant get it right: For the two wires of the sender unit from the tank, ground one of them and the other connect it to blue-white (signal wire) of the speedometer. That's it.
Update: I quickly checked and realized that i have a trim port (tiny variable resistor) , bridged it between the signal line from the speedometer and that of the sender unit and i was able to trim one side that makes sense and that is the empty side. Pushing the sender to the full position would indicate half on the fuel gauge. At least this way you can know half full indication means full and empty means almost to zero or zero it self.
Saeed Al Habsi thanks for sharing that. Have you tried to get the same resistance required at the manual by using one or more resistors in line with the fuel sensor?
ive got the same clock but cant get the gears to show. i connected the wires up from my old clock put them to my new one but wont work any advice cheers
Nice video. I have this gauge and I like it very much. But I have a triple and the tacho is adjustable for 2 or 4 cylinders only and rpms doesn't shows correctly for me :(
you can fix that by taking signal from two cylinders. But then you have to use one diod for each to prevent the signal from one coil to trigger the other. the diod only lets signal pass thru one way
I didn't sift through the 200 comments. Can the mileage be set to reflect the actual mileage of the bike? For example, my bike has 23,000 miles on it. Can I program 23,000 miles on this gauge to begin counting from there?
Hey bro, love the video and glad I was able to find it. I have this exact speedo and I am trying to get the power to work. I have run the same wire that ran to my stock speedo backlight but it still does nothing. I wondered how you ran your power to the speedo so I could copy your technique. Also, I bought another electronic converting speedo cable from Dime City Cycles and I wondered if you knew if that would work. Anything helps man, I really appreciate it.
you have to wire up the memory wire and power wire to the positive of the battery and then the neutral wire to ground. that will be the bare minimum to turn it on. and I'm not familiar with stuff from dime city. but the speedo that comes with the guage should work fine
What do you mean memory wire? I only ask because in the very limited manual that shipped with it, it has no wire that is marked as anythign to do with memory. I have my turn signals and headlight/bright light indicator working, but no power anywhere else. Also, if I am going to use the speedo cable that went with it, how did you hook yours up?
it's a wire that goes starlight to the battery. so that it can save the settings. I think mine was red. but I know that they changed somethings around from the first batch that came out. so yours might be different.
hello I bought it. but I have a problem I can not put the engine speed, it works everything else belonging tours ... I have a transal XL600 ... how can I solve my problem? thank you
Hey DRugfree, can u say me Pinouts from the Kabel (red, yellow, blue, ..... ) ? I got the same Speedometer but i dont know the pinouts witch colur is witch siganl .... This would be awesome ! Best wishes Tim Braunbarth
I installed the digital speedometer on a 78 honda hawk CB400 but the coundn't manage to get the rpm working. How can I get it working since this kinda old bike rpm usually works with a cable? I'll appreciate if some one can help.
The RPM should be connected directly to the pickup coil (eg the wire between the coil and the spark unit) if you have that. fixed mine today and it is steady and fine. Can't say if it is the same if you have points. Good luck
+DRugfree1987 Have you seen the video and did it help? I have moved on to the next task, getting the ODO to show same mileage as the old gauge, I know! a bit exaggerative but I found a pulsgenerator for under 8$ that's working so the gauge is "driving" at 180 km/h during the nights to get the ODO up to 25000 km. After that I will try to get the gear indicator working by using a universal GID that's using RPM and speed to calculate the gear (needs to be programmed to the actual bike) and then using that signal to show right gear in the gauge.
+jamtJrus I did not get a chance to try it out since I getting my other bike ready for a upcoming trip. but once I get back I will definitely try it. sounds very hopeful. I will be jumping for joy if it really works.
lost me on the battery light.... when it gets below 20 volts? hmmm... nice video though... wished I had a better view of the how you hooked up the mph sensor... thanks for posting the video... the price has dropped to about $26 on ebay,I think I'll buy one...
Hey everyone, Just bought the same speedometer but are having problems with installing it. Headlight and turnsignals works fine on the display but there is no light on the display (its totally dark). It is connected directly to the battery. Any suggestions?
can you be a little more elaborate on the wheel size? did you mean wheel or tire? diameter? circumference? i have the same one and that chinese guy i bought mine from dont have an idea what i needed to know. thanks
You should typ in the circumference (the distance your wheel moves when you rotate it once) divided by number of magnets you have installed for the speedsensor, normaly two but I'm using 5 to get a faster respondingtime and a more accurate reading during acceleration
The size to be entered on the meter is 2x the circumference of your wheel. So 18 inch = 45.72cm circumference=3.14 x 45.72cm=143.5608cm 2x circumference=2 x 143.5608=287.1216cm, so you could set the 287on the meter.
Hey man, thanks for the video. I just bought one of these myself for my SV650 and have no idea how to put it on. Any pointers on how to or where I can find instructions?
Tire diameter. A good way to do it is, put a tape measure on the ground. Then line up the valve stem with the beginning of the tape roll your bike till you get to the stem again. Then convert the reading to mm
I managed to get gears indicator to work. Used a GPS gear position sensor for next model and soldered wire to it. Also fuel did not initially work with only geound bu after I used condensr of 100 nFarad and 15 Koms resistor. Indicator set do 3 in menu 4
Hi and thank you for your video. can you tell me if is it true to say that it's not possible to change the numbers of the cylinder after the first use. Thank you
+Ermete Colaneri No, You can change number of cylinders when you want and how many times you like. In my deskription it said it comes preset on one cylinder and you can't go back to one cylinder once you have chosen 2 och 4. Can't say if it's true or not
Yes. Thank you. I do know about that now. But back when I made the video the speedometer was very new to the market and had a lot of very misleading info. And that was one of the main reasons I made the video.
hello. I got the same speedo a few months ago. I got everything working except my speed sensor. it came with 3 magnets which I out on the rotor. I divided the wheel circumference by 3 and set it in the dash to 694. but I'm not getting any reading at all. the sires in my sensor are blue brown black. I have tried everything with no results. any help please!!!
Wassup dude, first of all than you so much for uploading this video I'm having rough time to find the wires connector right in a place and i am having a RPM trouble Do you know how to make it work for digital gears ? If you can help me I'm clueless with this 2 wires which is 1- chocolate and white stripe 2- green 3-red. I seems don't know these three wire functions, just asking you if you can help me sorting this out, thank you so much From Malaysia
if you look further down in the comments you should be able to find a wiring diagram. and I have a link in the video for my seconds video showing how to hook up rpm wire
Hi! I installed this speedo and everything seems working fine, but when the motorcycle start runing the only thing visible in this speedo is the neutral position. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Thanks
that was just a spare wire I had laying around. watch my other video. I was able to get the rpm gauge to work properly. link will be at the 10 second point in the video
It is the second one I have , the first one RPM was starting 2,5 and manage to sell it to a friend this last one the needle doesn't move , ignition on it moves and after it is stoped on 0 , connecting direct to magnet or wrapping around spark plug , the some not working, any idea?? I will appreciate I have it installed on a Yamaha xj 600 1997guerreirohumberto@hotmail.comThks very much
Hi DRugfree1987, Thks I will try it and let you know, but as I told you before this is the second unit I have , first one RPM was connected to red wire from magnet, and was starting when engine was +/- 10000 rpm, it was marking 25000 rpm, ts not moving this second one ,that I purschase the needle is not moving...
Hello, I wanted to ask you, in case I did not connect the fuel level sensor (there is no) what does the instrumentation mean? ... Because in other videos I see that it flashes and I would not want to happen to me too
Ivan Pisco it does. it have a oil light. so I used the gear indicator instead. when I turn the bike on you can see on the speedometer reading "6" that's my low oil indicator. when I start up the bike the light goes away
Hi there! Thanks for sharing thi video. It was a great help wiring the speedo specially because I'm new to doing this. Could you please explain how to make the fuel indicator work? And, I got the battery light flashing do you know how could I solve that. Best Regards! Fabio
Fabio Alberto Granados Mendoza the fuel gauge works off resistance. more resistance the lower the fuel gauge. if you never had a fuel gauge and just want it to stop flashing ground the terminal to a nuetral wire or ground it to the body. and the battery light will flash if the battery is below 12 volts. let the battery charge a little and the light should go away.
So I just installed this gauge on a Ninja 250 and everything works great, but I can't seem to access the setup menu. Instead of displaying the [- - - - -] layout, I get [ccc - - -] as the only menu option. Also, when it goes into this menu the rpm needle points to 12k. Wasn't sure if you might have experienced this issue? Thanks!
I am experiencing this now, I don't know what to. is your gauge working now? I get all the features working except on the speedometer, I dont know how to set the wheel circumference.
Me too. Any info yet? - Edit - figured it out. on the CCC--- you need to enter CCC123, which is a passcode to get in to the programming. Once there, you just long press the button to move between the different values found on this page - imgur.com/a/69hjw The only value I needed to adjust was the F03.4, which is apparently some frequency value to calibrate the speedometer. For mine, on a wheel with 81.375" circumference, and six magnets on the wheel, I'm at about F08.0.
Hey Brandon. Mine is the same as yours. How did you get your wheel frequency worked out? I have a 1,920 mm, or 192 cm wheel and 2 magnets. but don't have sufficient digits to enter that? It's reading all sorts, so when I tried it in inches, nothing showed. I got a KPH cable speedo and taped it on beside mine, set mine to KPH, and the nearest I can get to an accurate reading is F02.2, but I feel it's still not accurate. I'm shit at anything mathematical. Does the digit after the point, mean the number of magnets?..... Any suggestions?

Massive help. That means my fuel sender is dead
That's for the Video, i'll buy that one. It seems quite good for the money. I did not know how the Tachometer is connected. Are you still satisfied so far? Will the settings be cleared if the battery is disconnected?
How far from center did you mount the magnet? Trying to figure out how to set the speed but mine is way off. Did you use 2 magnets or just one?

All good and working, just confused over the wheel diameter. Do i just measure the rim or rim plus tyre?
Angus Foster should be wheel including tire

hello from the video you see you've wrapped a black cable to the spark plug cable. Where did you get connected? on speedmoteter? thank you
Thanks again for the video. Thanks again
blue wire on my cdi on my yamaha worked too
I have also Honda 125, it's also blue wire and 2cyl instead of one.
where did you get the 818 from if you don't mind?
I have some doubts DRugfree1987 - The tacho/speedo I got, has a very short rpm cable. Can I use some other cable to link it and then wrap it around the spark plug cable?
2nd - Is there a way to change the firing cycle? .5, 1 or 2? like 1 pulse per 2 revs, 1 pulse every rev (wasted spark) ... that way. Is there a way to change it?
Hi just wanna ask how did you make the battery indicator work? What wires did you connect it too?, Because mine is not working. When turning the key on it won't lit up with the rest of the speedometer..
i think it's the one he wired to the battery. It's in line with plus and mass on the plug. In the manual it's called battery cathode.
How do you get the gas gauge to work when your gas sensor has 2 wires ?
Hi I just bought this speedometer and the eBay seller didn't include full instructions. Your video has helped with some of my questions, but now I'm curious about the margnets. The speedometer sent to me has three magnets. Does the speedo use all three or are they sent as spares?
Justin Duncan of I remember correctly. to get it set up right you have to measure the wheel in mm. then if you have 2 magnets you will then divide that number by two. and if you use three magnets you divide it by three that's how you get the number you need to put in the tach for wheel size. that helpef
It is like DRugfree says, BUT! the more magnets you use the faster will the gauge respond to changes in speed, I have 5 magnets om my bike
Dude this video
Is a HUGE help.
I just got this thing lol
👍 HELLO I HAVE MADE A SIMILAR VIDEO : ruclips.net/video/SqlIyr1mmeE/видео.html
so I figured out how to change the 3 digit tire/ wheel size and save it on the menu. The problem is is that all other universal speedometers I have seen have a 4 digit tire diameter code in millimeters. This gauge as you know has only 3 digits. I think it's 50-999. What measurement is this supposed to be? What did you enter based on your wheel dimensions?
Hi, the 3 digits will be the half of your whell size. For example, mine is 1930. So, I should put 965.
I hope it helps
Hi buddy. I have just have a question about pod filters. Did you have to adjust the carburators for them? rejet them or enything like that? thanks
yes. I had to rejet the carbs. wasn't a easy task but I finally got them running smooth
DRugfree1987 ca you give me so advises or discripton. If you gonna keep it secret I understand. thanks
Just a quick question, do you know if the Acewell digital conversion speedo cables would work with one of these so you can get away from mounting all the stuff on the wheel/caliper?
I believe the "oil sensor setting" is actually the fuel sensor setting. One of the setting full=0 another empty=0. depends on your bike fuel sensor.
I'm wondering if you have the wiring colour coding figured out? I have the same gage and I have an older which has a pink wire and no purple wires. Any wiring help would be greatly appreciated
just wondering. by any chance this can be used on a 1 cylinder? I really like it cuz its simple and complete for my honda 125cc scrambler build. thanks for the response
its comes ready for one cylinder. if you change it, you can not go back to stock settings.
Is there no possible way to go back to 1 cylinder
Were you able to wire for gear reading?
So if your bike does not have a gear indicator does that mean gear indicator on speedo wont work? I have a 250 cc bobber.
hooking this up right now but im having trouble with the neutral switch . its a yamaha xv250. i think a circut was completed with the light itself.
Hey thank you so much for this video, one question though, what color wire did you use for the rev counter? I can't get mine to work either. Thanks!
+Mitchell Jn Baptiste its the purple wire. then wrapped it around the spark cable.
+DRugfree1987 no problem, thanks I will try it. Safe riding!!!
+Mitchell Jn Baptiste Im not an expert or anything, but i read somewhere that tach signal wires are connected to the negative of the coil...
+Melvin Jerremiah Gepte I heard that a well, have not tried it, I will though because it's not responding very well. If not i will just leave it bouncy lol. Thanks
ive done that and it doesn't work.
hey i have a question, is this universal speedometer compatible with a single cylinder 200 cc bike ?
Hi friend!
do you know to setup the originals KMs or MPMs before painel instal?
Hi guys, I just purchased this speedo and my only concern is the wiring for the gear indicator, it mentions that N, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are "NEGATIVE GEAR CONNECTION", so I assume it must ground to activate that gear number, but my motorcycle (Vento Tornado 250cc) only sends ground on N while all others are voltage... do I need to build relay fixes for each wire or does this device work with this configuration? Thanks in advance
Did the magnet fly off when you drove it?
The fuel sensor has two wires. What is the correct way to connect the speedometer to this sensor? I can not get him to walk.
Thanks man, it worked! A bit bouncy but it worked. Have not ridden the bike yet but at neutral it responds.

I have a ducati monster 600 with carburettors and I can not get it running, could you give me a hand? thank you so much
hola Domenico, conseguiste solucionar el problema? yo también tengo una ducati y no consigo que funcione el tacho
How did you hook up the gear indicator to the oil sensor?
Hello. U managed to install the gear indicator? Which component or adaptation is necessary?
+Felipe Coelho I used the gear indicator as a low oil indicator. when my oil is low it was show gear 6
OK, so in reply to this, I have used my fuel gauge as a temp gauge on Kawasaki 454LTD. How in the heck did you wire the sixth gear as your low oil indicator? Was it as easy as just using the wire for the oil idiot light to the 6th gear wire?
yea. very simple.
s it true this does not come with TRIP functionality in it?

Wow, quick response, thanks for your help :)
Is it possible to use one bike's speedo on another bike? I really hate my ninja 250r's speedo and hoping the zx's can be used on my bike.
how did you mount the speedo i have same one and having trouble thinking of a way to mount it
how many amps does the memory wire consume? does not discharge the battery?
No. It shouldn't use any power. Its mainly used to power down the speedometer once you turn the the bike off
How many magnets did you use for the speedo?
Connections/wiring for those who cant get it right:
For the two wires of the sender unit from the tank, ground one of them and the other connect it to blue-white (signal wire) of the speedometer. That's it.
Update:
I quickly checked and realized that i have a trim port (tiny variable resistor) , bridged it between the signal line from the speedometer and that of the sender unit and i was able to trim one side that makes sense and that is the empty side.
I have the same gauge, did you figure out the tach, as I am having the same problem.....Thanks
see my other video. link will be at the 10 second mark
ive got the same clock but cant get the gears to show. i connected the wires up from my old clock put them to my new one but wont work any advice cheers
Nice video. I have this gauge and I like it very much. But I have a triple and the tacho is adjustable for 2 or 4 cylinders only and rpms doesn't shows correctly for me :(
you can fix that by taking signal from two cylinders. But then you have to use one diod for each to prevent the signal from one coil to trigger the other. the diod only lets signal pass thru one way
thanks! I'll try it :)
I didn't sift through the 200 comments. Can the mileage be set to reflect the actual mileage of the bike? For example, my bike has 23,000 miles on it. Can I program 23,000 miles on this gauge to begin counting from there?
TREY TUZIL No. at least the first generation one that I have.
TREY TUZIL I baught a pulsgenerator for less than 15$ and had the gauge running at 190 km/h for a few days until its odo was right!
I think mine was red. but I know that they changed somethings around from the first batch that came out. so yours might be different.
how big is the diameter of the speedometer? thanks
hello I bought it. but I have a problem I can not put the engine speed, it works everything else belonging tours ... I have a transal XL600 ... how can I solve my problem? thank you
how dou you calibrate the magnets? i got probs with mine ,please help!
I lost the magnets. Can i replace them with any magnets? Or i need a specific magnet?
Hey DRugfree,
can u say me Pinouts from the Kabel (red, yellow, blue, ..... ) ? I got the same Speedometer but i dont know the pinouts witch colur is witch siganl ....
This would be awesome !
Best wishes
Tim Braunbarth
Someone in the comment section commented what the wires do. Or check out my other video detailing what wire does what
I installed the digital speedometer on a 78 honda hawk CB400 but the coundn't manage to get the rpm working.
How can I get it working since this kinda old bike rpm usually works with a cable?
I'll appreciate if some one can help.
Use the tachometer wire that the old speedo was connected to. Check out your wiring diagram.
Hello thank you for the video but how did you do to plug the account turn its not walking on my motorcycle thank you
Thank you for the help! Would've been lost for another few weeks. Wiring it on a Yamaha 99 YZF600R.

Could this be integrated into a 2005 honda rebel 250?
Hello, will you be helping me? How baglayacag the speed of cable?
The RPM should be connected directly to the pickup coil (eg the wire between the coil and the spark unit) if you have that. fixed mine today and it is steady and fine. Can't say if it is the same if you have points. Good luck
I chosed 2 cylinders in the setup because I have 2 pickup coils, one coil per two cylinders.
+jamtJrus would you mind posting a video of what you did? I don't think I follow what you mean.
+DRugfree1987 well, I guess I could try. But until it's made, do you have a Email i can send you a wirediagram that explains it?
Hi Drugfree1987 nice little vid. My bike doesn't have a fuel gauge so I grounded the fuel gauge wire but it still flashes. Any ideas? Thanks
You have to connect a 8 ohms resitor from the ground to the fuel gauge, you'll get a full gauge
You are a god, thanks.
hey, is there anyway possible to be installed on drum brake type or i really should make it to a disk brake type to install that sensor?
Sherwin Alvarez should be fine. just make sure you put the magnet and pick very close. maybe put the magnet on the hub by the spokes
oh, ok thats a relief so its possible then, thanks alot for the response, now i got to start looking for the perfect spot
dimecitycycle has some acewell brand cables that convert cable speedos to electronic. Probably have one you could adapt.
Does it possible to install this dashboard on my Kawasaki ER5 Twister 99' ?
lost me on the battery light.... when it gets below 20 volts? hmmm... nice video though... wished I had a better view of the how you hooked up the mph sensor... thanks for posting the video... the price has dropped to about $26 on ebay,I think I'll buy one...
I meant to say 12volts.
Hey everyone,
Just bought the same speedometer but are having problems with installing it. Headlight and turnsignals works fine on the display but there is no light on the display (its totally dark). It is connected directly to the battery. Any suggestions?
What do you do about the Odometer? does it just delete the odometer?
Odometer starts from zero out of the box. No way to adjust it
do you know how to reset this? because its asking id?
Hi. please clould you tell me the input signal specs to the fuel indicator? i try to may ways but it doesnt works. Thanks a lot.
can you be a little more elaborate on the wheel size? did you mean wheel or tire? diameter? circumference? i have the same one and that chinese guy i bought mine from dont have an idea what i needed to know.
So 18 inch = 45.72cm
circumference=3.14 x 45.72cm=143.5608cm
2x circumference=2 x 143.5608=287.1216cm, so you could set the 287on the meter.
Hey man, thanks for the video. I just bought one of these myself for my SV650 and have no idea how to put it on. Any pointers on how to or where I can find instructions?
the gauge should have a diagram. and it would be very wise to get a owners manual to trace the wires. just take your time and don't over think it.
How do you come up with the numbers to put in for the speedo and front tire?
Tire diameter. A good way to do it is, put a tape measure on the ground. Then line up the valve stem with the beginning of the tape roll your bike till you get to the stem again. Then convert the reading to mm
how did you wired up the speed sensor
I managed to get gears indicator to work. Used a GPS gear position sensor for next model and soldered wire to it. Also fuel did not initially work with only geound bu after I used condensr of 100 nFarad and 15 Koms resistor. Indicator set do 3 in menu 4
Knowhow Bulgaria hi what did you do to make fuel gauge stop flashing? I've grounded mine and still wouldn't stop flashing.
Hi and thank you for your video. can you tell me if is it true to say that it's not possible to change the numbers of the cylinder after the first use. Thank you
+Ermete Colaneri far as I know. I am still having trouble dialing in the rpm gauge.
+DRugfree1987 how many cylinder have your bike?
4 I still need to get my bike to run smooth before i dive in to fixing the gauge
+DRugfree1987 good luck, I will try soon in my bike
+Ermete Colaneri No, You can change number of cylinders when you want and how many times you like. In my deskription it said it comes preset on one cylinder and you can't go back to one cylinder once you have chosen 2 och 4. Can't say if it's true or not
can you change the all km traveled?
Any bar mounting brackets for a Yamaha Raider for this gauge?
Drugfree1987, FYI, in your video at 5:55, the 1 is for your gas tank resistance from 1=100 ohms to 5 =500 ohms and not your engine size.
Yes. Thank you. I do know about that now. But back when I made the video the speedometer was very new to the market and had a lot of very misleading info. And that was one of the main reasons I made the video.
Did you glue the magnets for speed sensie?
GTI KR I used a small amount of epoxy to keep them from moving but the magnets stayed in place pretty good
hello. I got the same speedo a few months ago. I got everything working except my speed sensor. it came with 3 magnets which I out on the rotor. I divided the wheel circumference by 3 and set it in the dash to 694. but I'm not getting any reading at all. the sires in my sensor are blue brown black. I have tried everything with no results. any help please!!!
manda rrin how close is the magnetics to sensor?
DRugfree1987 extremely close less than 8mm
Wassup dude, first of all than you so much for uploading this video
I'm having rough time to find the wires connector right in a place and i am having a RPM trouble
Do you know how to make it work for digital gears ?
If you can help me I'm clueless with this 2 wires which is
1- chocolate and white stripe
2- green
3-red.
I seems don't know these three wire functions, just asking you if you can help me sorting this out, thank you so much
From Malaysia
if you look further down in the comments you should be able to find a wiring diagram. and I have a link in the video for my seconds video showing how to hook up rpm wire
Where did you get that headlight
how do you set the miles back to what the bike was on before you changed it?
TERRY JOLLEY no. I rebuilt the engine so it was pretty much like new anyway
Hi! I installed this speedo and everything seems working fine, but when the motorcycle start runing the only thing visible in this speedo is the neutral position. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Thanks
I have a 2002 HD 883 Hugger , I have blinkers, N, running lights , High Beams, can't get tach to work or speedometer to work, help..
i have motocycle used that speedometer but rpm not working....can you give me solution ??? please
i want to know how to put magnets, as i do not have disk break, tell me 3 magnets are enough to display accurate speed?

how did you get your rpm to work with the wire cause mine didn't not even come with a wire to wrap around the coil :(
that was just a spare wire I had laying around. watch my other video.
I will appreciate I have it installed on a Yamaha xj 600 1997guerreirohumberto@hotmail.comThks very much
+Hum GuerreiroPro watch my other video. link is at the 10 second mark in the video
Hi DRugfree1987, Thks I will try it and let you know, but as I told you before this is the second unit I have , first one RPM was connected to red wire from magnet, and was starting when engine was +/- 10000 rpm, it was marking 25000 rpm, ts not moving this second one ,that I purschase the needle is not moving...
hi guys plz plz tell me can i install this meter on honda cg 125 bike.????.plz some one help me
Hello, I wanted to ask you, in case I did not connect the fuel level sensor (there is no) what does the instrumentation mean? ... Because in other videos I see that it flashes and I would not want to happen to me too
Ivan Pisco take the blue and white wire and go to ground. that's what I did with mine.
DRugfree1987 Is the oil pressure sensor not present?
Ivan Pisco it does. it have a oil light. so I used the gear indicator instead. when I turn the bike on you can see on the speedometer reading "6" that's my low oil indicator. when I start up the bike the light goes away
DRugfree1987 Do you think it is possible to connect the oil pressure sensor to the petrol level indicator?
Ivan Pisco no. the oil indicator is on or off. the gas level works off resistance
I have the same one but can't get it to the wheel size mode just comes up with three numbers first one only goes to 2
How to stop my fuel gause flashing?
Hows the gear indicator?
OldCrew PH Any luck on figuring that out? I've got the same issue, thinking it's got something to do with the frequency setting
Cheers for that. I didn't know 123 was a password. It does not say that? I'll go at it tomorrow.
