There’s a lot of nostalgia in going to the club shop at night for the next mornings launch, and an awful lot of people haven’t bought a shirt at all or even been to the club shop since the Puma days, and being able to buy a shirt and know that not 1 penny goes to the owners pockets and it all goes back into our club again is a big, big thing. Personally I can’t wait for the retro shirt CasisDead wore in the advert but it’s not out until December, that one looks amazing
As a shirt collector from last season experience adidas has labelled inside of the shirt slim fit so you might have to go up in size because if you wear your regular size it might feel bit tight fitting so I do recommend going one size up
I went to the club shop after work and there was maybe a 5 minute wait but they had so much stock, so much better prepared than castore. Personally I wanted to go to the club shop because of the NU Foundation donation, it’s a nice touch.
bit gutted about no nufc gazelles! would have loved to get those. I've seen rumours they're going to rerelease the 96/97 kit though so I'm still hoping for that.
I am going to say there will be gazelles but they will just be slow on releaseing them. You can get them for Nothern Ireland national team so I am saying Newcastle United will definitely get them it just will not be to a later date. So my advice is dont give up hope just yet keep checking but they will be pricey about £150 if there are a Newcastle United version personally they give me sore feet because I have a high instep unfortunately for me.
I think it's so that they're certain it's cooled down and set, if people took them straight away I can imagine some would accidently damage them, then be unhappy and not be able to return them. I've been asked to wait for an hour before.
@@oitoitoi1I worked in a print shop in the metro center doing them for a few years, the only advice we had for people was not to fold them for a while but I get what you're saying.
I would always buy the fan version not going to be playing football in ut & they are a regular fit. Player version is not aswell made not as durable & club crest is just a sticker whare fan version it's a proper cerst you get with it. So fan version always for me personally.
Each to their own, but for me, I'd go to the club shop to make sure of the charitable donation which is a great touch. Also, I'm not sure, but do JD take their cut as well, so lessening the amount getting into the club's revenue coffers? Which after all, is the whole point. Good one as always 👍🏴🏳️
The club should make much more if you buy direct from them. JD will take their retail cut, they're not a charity. Buying direct via the shop or online the club will get the full retail margin and the full profits will be reinvested.
JD had a tiny selection, no white kits, far fewer sizes, the printing isn’t via the proper club shop machines and no £5 for charity. If you are prepared to wait, the club shop was better IMO.
went to my JD in grimsby dont have anything of newcastle at all. so ordered from them online for next day delivery at £6.99 which should be today. didnt get an out for delivery email so looked at the tracking and saying monday thats not next day. i hope this isnt the start of things to come never had any problems with castore. jd cant do anything about it say i just have to wait. so taken a day off work for nothing.
It will be on the fan version but on the player version it will be just a sticker but the stickers are much more durable than you would think from personal experience.
Hiya Adam, I've still got my Newcastle Adidas shirt from the 2008/09 season, I like the NUF badge from the 1980s, I wish that was on the black and White striped shirt, maybe next time, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
I'm off to the airport to get my flight to China. I'll be queuing outside DH Gate with my £13 in hand to get my new shirt. Bargain. Shame about the £2000 flight.😊
I will never use JD again after my experience with them. I am working down in Southend and called the Southend JD store and asked if they had the new Shirt and there reply was ‘No, we only stock the big clubs’ the F’ing cheek of the guy. It’s so bad we have exclusive rights to JD but they are not in all their stores!!!!
@mickloadman7739 In what way has it gone wrong ?. Had a mixed bag experience with D.J. myself ordering online over the years latest experience was extremely good personally. My advice with D.J do not oder online from them in the run up to Christmas you will be extremely lucky if you ever get your order or money back at all. But I placed an order with them about three weeks ago & got it within three days of ordering.
@@alanfox691 1) The staff member saying they only sell big clubs shirts when clearly Newcastle are a big club, 2) JD have exclusive rights to sell our shirts but don’t stock in all their store only selected stores.
How has anyone not mentioned the misalignment of the stripes on the front of the shirt and the white stripe on the collar on the player issued kit…looks so off for £110.
Adam mate, thanks for the interview. I really appreciate it. You made my day 🖤🤍
Cracking interview mate, you know your NUFC!

What shirt who wore? Got a link or extra details?
From the unofficial leaks i wasn’t really fan of the shirt, but seeing it irl it looks quite good

It depends on if it's the fan version or player version.
Fan version is a regular fit but player version is a slimmer fit.
I went to the club shop after work and there was maybe a 5 minute wait but they had so much stock, so much better prepared than castore. Personally I wanted to go to the club shop because of the NU Foundation donation, it’s a nice touch.
Adam just waking up in a hotel room after a mad one last night 💪
Not liking the red n white training top! 🤮
It's more a a red wine shade than a Sunderland red like the red in the 95/96 away shirt shirt.
@@alanfox691 tbh it's not a reference to sunderland, i'm just not a fan of the shade of red.

Just go to a jd sports store easier and quicker 👍
I wonder why the shirt printing takes so long? literally takes about 3 minutes in total to line it up, press it and peel it?

Any info of when the long sleeve home shirt will be out.
Probably when the away kit comes out
December I heard
Honestly im just gonna buy the shirt like in july when lines are way more shorter and it could be a little cheaper

Wish the club crest was embroided the patch just looks cheap
Totally agree,really bad design
@@LauriedriverWouldn’t say it’s a bad design. It’s just that badge it looks like the badge of them fake football shirts.

It is embroidered on the fan kit.
@@House0fHootYea but it’s got this weird thing below it. It reminds me of our first kit with castore and how the badge looked. On the shirt.
Buy it from the club cos the money goes straight to the club, I'm in no hurry to que I'll wait a bit.
Most of the fans would want to go to the ground so the £5 is paid
I would rather go to the club shop so there’s not a middle man taking a cut of the money.
13:06 what’s Matt Ritchie doing there
