In my case, the problem was with the "ClipboardSvcGroup" service, I just stopped it and opened the Clipboard again with Win+V. Your video helped me a lot to find this, thank you very much, I haven't been able to use these functions for days.

Thanks for that. My problem with Copy and Paste at the moment is. When I copy a file folder, and paste it to a file folder on an external drive, it's no longer asking if I want to replace current files with the same name, and is just overwriting the files with no prompt? How can I fix that so it won't overwrite files with the same name?

My clipboard works, but now screenshot copied and when pasted shows up small instead of full size. Will this fix it. I am not a pc tech and don't understand all of this tech stuff. I can however follow directions as I see. I am a "see it" learner. That is why I always go to video for help

Mr. Brian, the problem is that after copying and pasting, a file that appears in another folder disappears after restarting the PC. We tried all the methods, but they did not help. Maybe the problem is with these magnetic SSDs? Because sometimes even it is not pasting at all.

Hi, this is completely unrelated but I can't reset my pc as I get an error and I run sfc and dism and everything is completely fine. I don't know what to do as I can't find a video to help me

At least I have found a solution that WORKS!!. But not all the time. rdpclip.exe is already missing from my Task Manager. If I try to kill it from the command prompt it doesn't find it (of course). Restarting it from the command prompt as per the video then a PC reboot does the trick, with RDP Clipboard Monitor making a reappearance in Task Manager. I can then copy large folders or hundreds of photos and paste then elsewhere, which previously generated the error message "Item not Collected: Format not supported by Office Clipboard". The solution seems short lived, though, certainly after another PC restart I'm back to the same problem and the clipboard monitor has disappeared from the task manager. So am I doing something wrong? Should I disconnect the PC from the internet while I am copying files to stop MS sabotaging it? (again). 10 minutes after restarting Clipboard Monitor it has vanished again although - touch wood - I can still copy and paste.

I frequently used copy paste option on MS word, many times it shows when I try to select the item to copy it automatically get selected other items , following all the lines where the cursor moves.
Then I have to close the file and restart my laptop , then it get fixed.
It happens every 20-30 min .
I reeboot laptop, reinstall MS office, change keyboard too. Nothing works to solve this control paste issue. Pls help

HELP !!! My biggest problem with copy & paste in Windows 10 is the fact that it won't allow items to be copied to the 'root' of a drive. You have to create a map first, and then copy whatever you want into the map. That works fine. But trying to copy an item(s) to the root of a drive results in no action at all. Not on local drives, nor on NAS server drives. I do not get any error messages, but no copying takes place either. Nothing at all happens. Please advise me what the problem is here, because it is very annoying.

that's not copy/paste. if you're trying to copy files from directory or drives to different drives or directories, you're not using the clipboard.
if you're having problems with copying files it sounds like you have a group policy problem. ie: Windows thinks you're not the owner of the drive/files, therefore you don't have permission to execute the command. you should right click on the drive and go to properties.. you'll be able to see who is the owner as well as take ownership to correct the problem. just search for "group policy" on Google for help
