Normally I have a little bit of light-hearted banter I put down there, but I needed to call to attention to an issue with The Scriptures translation that I did not learn about until after filming this review. The Scriptures translation removes the superscriptions in the Psalms. Various manuscripts aside, there is no excuse for the removal of this biblical text, and I implore you to do more research before buying a copy of this translation. That being said, I've already paid for mine, and am aware of the changes made, so I will proceed with caution.

Those are the readings for each Sabbath in the synagogue. There is a yearly cycle to read through the Torah.
Are the superscriptions the only thing missing? Because niv and SO MANY more translations take away half of Romans 8:1. An EXTREMELY important part. Also in the scriptures where Yehoshua is telling his disciples that these things can only be done through prayer and fasting it removes the "fasting" part. And so many more things are removed seemingly at an attempt to make Christianity more "convenient". In my journey I'm searching for a Bible translated in a way to TRY to expose as much truth and be as accurate as possible, rather than SO MANY translations that seem to come from the enemy in the sense that they are meant to twist or contort the truth intentionally. We will be hard pressed to find a completely accurate translation due to the fact alone that the original manuscripts were either locked away or destroyed. The real ones of the gospels. Of course I'm referring to the HEBREW ONES. They were written by Hebrew men. Yet all the ones found are in Greek. There are large enemies at work. Yehoshua be with us. Amen
It seems like the issue here is the different manuscripts used by the translation committees. For mainstream translations, there are no nefarious reasons for using the Majority Text versus Critical Text versus the Textus Receptus. The KJV, NKJV and MEV use the Textus Receptus, so if you're looking for those portions of text, I would stick with one of those. Other translations use older manuscripts that don't have the sections of text you're referencing, hence the omission of the verses in the english translations.
They didn't remove those verses, they used different manuscripts that didn't show those verses. The manuscripts they used were older than the ones the KJV used therefore "experts" feel the older ones are more reliable.
At first I was shocked the intros were removed in psalms but after thinking about it I like it .
They removed commentary new and old . Who is to say the scroll wasn’t re-written with commentary?

I scored a TS hardback for $13 on eBay. It’s a shame they didn’t include the Psalm intro verses, but I enjoyed writing them in manually. 📖 🖊
That's one way to fix the issue! I tend to not be so heartbroken myself when I come across things like that myself. A simple note will suffice!
Are you speaking of the 2009 edition of the ISR? Interesting thing I just learned: Nathan Reynolds, author of book SNATCHED FROM THE FLAMES, who was programmed AGAINST the Bible through rituals using KJV and NIV for many years found that he can read the ISR 2009 ("The Scriptures") translation without being triggered. If he tried to read KJV or NIV he would immediately fall asleep. He speaks about this just a little past 1 hour into a video entitled "Horrors of Hell Is There Hope For The Ruined?" on RUclips. It could be a great help for those who have been through MK Ultra, etc.

Nathan is why I purchased the Scriptures! I grew up with the KJV being told all other versions are wrong... As I have grown closer to Yeshua I was lead to do my own study of who King James was and I was mortified! I just couldn't open the KJV and I had been praying for a version as close to the original language as possible to cross my path and out of nowhere I found Nathan and his reading of the Scriptures.
@@dasowle89 I'm glad the Scriptures is helpful to many people. For me -- I have a copy but rarely use it because it puts Hebrew names where I am used to English. I speak only English, and I do not feel it is helpful to have to teach others names in another language in order to share the gospel. People are used to hearing Jesus Christ and it works for me and MOST English-speaking people, but I do understand that some people have been programmed (sometimes in traumatic ways) to hate that name, and for them saying Yeshua, etc. works better.
I am here because of Nathan as well. I will be seeing him speak in Marietta GA this coming weekend. He is also the reason why I bought the scriptures bible which (so far) is the best translation I have found. The KJV,NIV and mainstream versions are trash.
@@joshuawalker9734 I wouldn't call ANY Bible that delivers the full gospel "trash;" we have enough REAL trash in this world. I do value my copy of the ISR Scriptures, but personally find them more difficult to navigate with all the Hebrew names and words, so I do NOT use it as a main reading Bible. However, I have learned that since a lot of today's Bibles have also been edited to contain some of the wording found in the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS) which were found in the cave(s) of the LEVITES, and NOT the Essenes as the Catholic organization has pounded into the world's brain for the past 50 years. These were the Levites that were exiled by the Hasmoneans who took over all the top offices of authority in the synagogues. They were NOT Jewish but the enemy, and as we all know the victors write the history (thus we are told the DSS were found in Essene caves -- as Essenes were gnostic). The channel called The God Culture explains this really well as they and other Believers have been doing a LOT of research on all this. Anyhow, I now have over a dozen English translations of the Bible and enjoy very much reading verses that pique my interest in 4 or more translations when I am doing my daily Bible reading and it is wonderful. NO translation is perfect -- but MOST of the translators have worked hard to do their best.

Yes, that they removed the introductions that are considered part of scripture from the book of Psalms.
Modern preverisons removed verses such as 1 John 5:7, Acts 8:37, and many more.

Man where is the verses missing please
In other Bibles, the book of Psalms has headers before certain chapters indicating who they were written by, or how they should be read. They are considered scripture, but are absent in this translation.
I appreciate your covering these lesser-known translations. This is interesting, but I really can't agree with their decision to add "YHWH" to the new testament. That name simply does not appear in any Greek NT text. Furthermore the septuagint's tradition of substituting kyrios (lord) for YHWH allowed Paul and other NT authors to reapply old testament passages about YHWH to Jesus (such as Romans 10:13-14). Adding YHWH where Paul didn't write it really changes the meaning.
Also, I believe it's fairly well established from ossuaries, inscriptions, and texts that "Yeshua" was the form of the name "Yahoshua" widely used in the 1st century ad. I assume they insist on using Yahoshua based on a belief that the messiah's name had to include the divine name, but it's fairly certain that Jesus was addressed as Yeshua rather than Yahoshua. But I enjoyed your review regardless, I honestly didn't even know this translation existed

Actually YAHWEH in ancient Hebrew is in the Septuagint.
Search "oldest Septuagint fragments" and go to the images.
YAHWEH'S Name should have never been removed from the Bible. We have been lied to about EVERYTHING!

Yeah, it would've been nice if this review covered what's mentioned in the video's title.
I've heard a little bit about the missing verses in The Scriptures Bible translation--which makes it not much different, if at all, from other, "newer" translations (i.e., those from the 1800's onward), IMO. (I mistrust Bible translations that rely on the scholarship of Wescott and Hort [WH], who, IMO, weren't really Christian and were motivated to make textual changes to confuse and deceive; and, if I recall correctly, the Nestle-Aland text--on which most "newer" New Testament translations are based--is nearly the same as WH's text.)
In short, I'm leery of spending money on The Scriptures Bible (TSB), as I know that the missing verses would bother me. There's a playlist of negative reviews about TSB on the RUclips channel for Holy Language Institute: Following Yeshua Together. (NOTE: I haven't yet watched any of those videos; so, I can't say whether or not the man's criticism seems/ is valid.)
@PrayingForTruth it's not called the TSB... it's referred to as ISR. I haven't noticed any missing scriptures and honestly I would be careful even commenting something like that if you haven't validated your presumption.
The ISR translation is the best and most accurate translation I have ever read... nothing is perfect in this fallen world. It's most definitely better than most Masonic translations (ie: KJV).
The HALLELUYAH SCRIPTURES is also a great translation.

Update to share: I decided to buy the ISR. In fact, I bought two different versions of it, because I liked both cover options. I've not yet begun studying it full-on, but have been comparing it to several other Bible versions--just to gauge my thoughts between ALL of those being compared. I am happy with the ISR, thus far, and plan to reread the New Testament (New Covenant) in it.
What if "Yeshua" isnt short for "Yehoshua." But rather, it's another transliteration.
I'm probably not pronouncing either correctly, so Jesus is good enough for me.
I'm curious as to what you think His name really is? I'm not being snarky; I really would like to hear your take on what you think His name is and how you've reached your conclusion. I remain open to all discussions about His name, although I also suspect that He knows whenever someone is speaking to Him, regardless of the name used.

I've heard some people say, "YHWH is really Satan;" others have said, "YHWH is a god--a good one, tasked with overseeing Israel--but he's not the same as the one, true, living God."
It gets all sorts of interesting and, yet, potentially conflicting/ confusing--especially because the New Testament has Jesus referring to YHWH. In short, I don't know where I stand on the YHWH situation.
It is difficult for some to accept that some of the verses, and parts of others, are not in the manuscripts. It doesn't look like this offers much in the way of any explanation of why these verses are excluded so it should make one wonder what other edits they may have made.
Exactly my thought... I'm not even sure why the portions were omitted. They are in the original texts and some of them give context for the passage as to when/why it was written.
Rome omitted an entire body of texts from the canons bcuz part of the truth isn't much better than a lie. In fact, the best lies are partly true!
