I think that it is really cool that Bethesda added this books to the DLC and tied them in with the College of Winterhold. It adds to the worldbuilding and makes it more believable.
THANK THIS MAN FOR ACTUALLY PUTTING IN TIME STAMPS IN THE DESCRIPTION, I swear 99 percent of youtubers making tutorials don’t do it and shit is annoying because of how much time I lose searching through the entire video.
The hell with selling them these are collectable as hell. And there are plenty of home mods with displays just for these. I don't know about you but by the point in the game I get these gold is never an issue anyway. Especially if I have some business type mods installed. Still great video. But the money you could get shouldn't be the focus. Sometimes rarity is enough reward all its own.
M'aiq The Liar You can have all 4000 septims and still keep the books you know. When you take them to Urag he gives you 1000 gold each plus the translation.
yeah i just want the translation also if you get the monster costumes mod and a mod that gives merchants more money you can sell about 5 of them for roughly 10k gold which is how i got most of my septims because im always in dungeons hunting unige weapons and armor
I kinda wish gold wasnt so easy to come by in Skyrim. Like you can mix a blue butterfly wing and mountain flower at high alchemy w enchanted armor on and make 1500 gold a potion. Max smithing on steel plate armor gets you about 5000 gold. Idk just all this stuff that is super easy to come by once you get up to level 20 or 30. I like how early in the game you actually have to work for things and how you are excited to find a steel mace instead of just your iron sword haha. Love Skyrim just wish there weren't so many ways to get around things that make the game so easy even for a rubbish gamer like me haha. Anyway thank you for this video never collected these books in my last playthrough so going to make sure I do this time.
@@MeanAndPristine Grateful to be told about a book? I could read on a Bethesda website the same thing he said in the video, but at least the website would have the decency to actually show pictures or even a video.
@@thalmoragent9344 I found everything just fine. He said in his other video that this place doesn’t have a map and if you have trouble explore a little bit and you’ll get a feel for it. I myself had no problem at all following his instructions to get the books
Woah..... what a beeeeautiful waterfall! Skyrim have thee most gorgeous and exquisite scenery and vistas - absolutely breathtaking! I LOVE exploring and adventuring through Skyrim! Anywho Camel you are awesome! I love your channel - it's one of my favs and Skyrim my fav game. The history and lore, politics, quests, people and locations of Skyrim are endlessly fascinating and full of intrigue, and some times even mystery and magic, it's just such an amazing world! And I've been playing it... yup pretty much every day for years now lol and I never ever get tired of my adventures through Skyrim (and doubt I ever will). Please keep up the fantastic work your videos are much appreciated! Kind regards all the way from sunny Scotland (lol) :-)
Camel, do you play Fudgemuppet Builds whenever you play Skyrim(assuming you still play Skyrim) or do you prefer your own? I personally have started on a modified version of the Dremora Lord.
I had that same thought. I read the translations. They are just diaries and poems documenting the first-hand experience of the snow elves in their defeat at the hands of the nords, tales of woe and survival, etc. I thought surely the translations would lead to a new quest or give me a new spell or something but nope just history and 1000 gold each. On the other hand, at least you get to read what the books contained, which satisfied my curiosity.
Can I request you summarizing and explaning various books in Skyrim? I can't be bothered to read it myself (mostly because I don't have the game installed anymore).
If you talk to urag gro-shub and select the dialog "you take your work very seriously" in his response he claims that if he didn't most of the books would have been burned or ruined before the third era. The game takes place in 4e 201. so how is it that without his dedication the books would have been destroyed over 1000 years before that date? Does this mean Urag gro-shub is immortal?
If I fast travel to the forgotten Vale it looks nothing like what you show as the entrance to it. I have no clue where you're talking about for the first book
I was thinking today and I'm pretty there would be a mod out there about it, but what do you think of having a wearable Dwarven centurion suit available in TES 6 (Kinda like power armour from Fallout but as big as a centurion). I know it would be gimicky as hell like a dwarven "gun" so it would only be used in a specific quest or run on Aetherium so it only has limited use. Would really like to know your opinion on it?

1 Steel Dagger + Petty Soul Gem + Banish and/or Paralyze Enchantment = 1,000 Septims (+/- speech levels, barter potions, haggling, etc).
Or one blue butterly wing and one blue mountain flower easy expensive potion

HERETIC!
Why SELL these extremly rare and unique books, when they can't be displayed in your fabulous mansion?

Camel, which is more mysterious: The Dwemer, or the Snow Elves?
100% the Dwemer :)
Camelworks Cool. I agree.
The dwemer by far
I'd like to have a game set when the dwemer and snow elves were around
Dwemer only cuz I haven't meet a Dwemer that could kill me
Greatful for this, it feels funny finally finishing this quest a decade after I bought the game.

Could you please dig into those books too?
unfortunately as far as i know these books cannot be opened and read which is disappointing to be sure
