"If you hit and humiliate a child, the only lesson she will learn is to hit and humiliate." Sad how even in 2025 some people still can't comprehend this.
The teacher's remark about educating women was a direct quote from one of Louisa May Alcott's teachers.
This is the best movie adaptation of the book ❤
True. 😊
I agree. The 90s do a splendid job at adapting classic novels with the right actors to play the characters
"I want to stand up to the lions of injustice."
"That's what Mommy does in her own way." ❤
So true for so many of us.
I like how in this version and the 2017 version that Jo was furious about the teacher hitting Amy unlike 1978 and 2019 she didnt have a heart to comfort her sister
Even the soundtrack is magical
Those kittens are so cute.
Best version is this one!
I love the kittens in this. They mention a lot in the 2019 one but I never saw one in it.
This is the best version
this the only version of Joe that I believed cared for Amy. She probably did find her annoying and dramatic for a little sister - but she loved her. In the 2019 one , Joe really hated Amy
I love the set, music and scenes from this version. It's the best. The soundtrack is EVERYTHING.
I don’t know why but I find out of all the adaptions that has been made of this movie this one is the best. Second best - the first being the one the 1949 adaption that starred Margaret O’Brien and Elizabeth Taylor
This is a great version. I also like the 1933 adaptation with Katharine Hepburn.
@knittyad2906 Don't forget June Allyson as Jo.
Wow! Just 6 years later, Laurie would be Patrick Bateman!
Definitive version of Jumanji and Little Women.
Meg is so pretty!
Definitive version of Little Women.
I prefer this version as well. I despise Greta Gerwig’s version.
@CarolineSaysStuff despise is a really string Word.
@CarolineSaysStuff the only reason u like this is cuz of nostalgia lmao
I had a bad teacher too. But he was abusive mentally.
Womp womp.
I'm sorry that happened to you. ❤
Me too. And it wasn't just one teacher
@sharonjensen3016 I’m so sorry that it happened to you
Very Unpleasant times in 19th Century 1800s America.
Harsh too.
Hi love this version ,because it was very close to the book & showed two very important scenes ,this one & when Amy burns Jos book ,very great adaptions ,
Wow! Just 6 years later, Laurie would be Bruce Wayne!
Best one. New one is awful.
The original is always the best
