Once more….I so enjoy Brett’s teaching…the way he expresses himself is so unique….he loves to teach….the Lord God has gifted him. Blessings from South Africa.
Hi Missy, We are so sorry to hear this. You are in our prayers. If you are interested, one of our pastors would love to pray with you. Feel free to call our Pastoral Care line at 971.250.1113
I'm Lutheran, MO SYN. I remembered when I transitioned from the Catholic church. The Lutheran church I was part of, both pastors, were steeped in Hebrew and Greek. Move around a bit. The church I'm in is OK. However, Brett gets a high mark. I watch him on Sunday & Wednesday.
Thank you for sharing. It’s when people share the good news about being saved or good things the Lord has done that it brings joy to others. It shows us how God is working in tower people’s lives. It’s a testimony of his love. His forgiveness and his grace and I just love to hear about others. As I’m sure it brings comfort to many. I’m happy for you both. ❤️
Oh my brother Brett! How I cherish your “outline-history” of Luke! It is always major to full depth understanding of our precious Bible. God Bless you all. What memories this old guy carries 4:024:05 ! 😎👑❤️🙏
I love that story of the atheist out to prove the book of Luke wrong and ends up after his studies the book of Luke is so factual he becomes a saved Christian. I love it. Thank you Jesus the truth will set you free. 🙏
Very few things are good in excess, when we use the things Father has given us as a tool, it becomes a beneficial thing... the bible accounts when it is appropriate to leave a person alone with their drinking, when they are mourning, when life is just rolling you in the mud, and a couple other reasons.. alcohol is no bueno for most, but it can be a tool for healing, not a complete healing it just starts the process...
Amen and Amen! Thank you, Pastor Brett, for bringing the good news to all of us! I’m looking forward to hearing and studying the book of Luke with you. Blessings of peace and strength. ✝️☮️
I absolutely love and agree with your position on clergy or church leaders/staff not drinking alcohol. I Thes 5:22, Abstaining from it because "of love, not law" sounds like Jesus. "We get to not got to", doesn't give us believers a pass when it comes to another's temptations or struggles. Besides alcoholism can creep up on anyone at any time, why test it?! Yes, alcohol has done far more harm than good worldwide and millennia. Thank you for this Pastor Brett. A grateful member of Alanon and CR.
“Makes me look like a cult leader “🤣 🤣 🤣 Thanks Pastor Brett, because of these teachings I’m getting some prayers answered with regards to my fear of not understanding the Bible. Your sermons are wholesome and I feel at home when I press play on all the videos. Is there any way for us outside the US to get more involved with support etc.?
Please help me pray for my husband who is addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. I worry about what it's doing to him and his body and It's coming between us and our marriage.
Hi Letesha, We are so sorry to hear this. You and your family are in our prayers. If you are interested, one of our pastors would love to pray with you. Feel free to call our Pastoral Care line at 971.250.1113
Ephesians 5:18 says to all Christians, "Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit." The verb "be filled" is famously a present tense verb which means to do it regularly, continually. Then it is an imperative verb, which means that it is a command and not a suggestion. So, I believe we're commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit, not wine. It's akin too...Why Pray, when you can worry...I remember the day when my Pastor taught ... it's okay to drink, then don't pray in the Holy Spirit you might scare away visitors...I left the church at that point, about 38 years ago.
Just a thought, Luke 10 21-23 do you see that the gift of the father's name is extremely important and solves the parable of " if i come in my father's name you will not receive me, but if someone comes in there own name you will receive him" Yahusha bless!!!
What great faith you have,We can be very confident of this One thing then that it is byThe Spirit of God that has revealed This to you & Not Man.& we shall know this by the confession of their mouths & the fruit of Thy works.Shalom.Not only confidence in great faith but a peace that surpasses all of mosts understanding that rests not only upon you as a gift from God but also like David was a man after His own heart I can assuredly say unto you that the blessed hope & comfort that delivers you that of The Holy Spirit is sealed upon your mind & heart I too rejoice with you in this knowledge brought to our remembrance of such things by He that had done these great works for us & within us bringing to us that very fullness that is Him as he promised He would We serve a very faithful & ever present & righteous God, All Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ who is with you & I until the very day we join Him by the grace of our redeemer who preserves us from judgement on the day of our redemption Our salvation is assured by trusting in the truth of The name Who is a lamp to thine feet & light to our path now & forever All Glory be to God, The giver of wisdom to those who ask they shall seek & they shall find they shall knock & the door shall be open to them,Hallelujah & Amen.🌈🕊️
Hopefully you'll be the first to respond to this.. I've left a comment in many places... no one wants to touch it... when they crossed the sea and arrived at a cemetery with legion... Matthew said they met TWO men possessed with many, mark said A MAN approached them and Luke says A demon possessed man came to them.. what have you thought about it? Thank you for what you do, much love to yall and yours
Maybe it is simply to do with witness accounts - Matthew was there, and Luke took statements from eyewitnesses and others. Possibly Luke's contacts simply miscounted their recollections - it happens. Also, it depends on how the scribes who translated the documents into their own languages put it. I know Bible debunkers like to light upon these things as 'inconsistencies', but they are like people who have logs in their eyes while trying to get specks out yours. Should you worry about differences like this? I shouldn't, but should concentrate on what and how Jesus dealt with the situation. Hope this helps, just a bit, even if you've heard this explanation before. Blessings.
If you read this Ps. Brett, what think you? It's interesting that Ps. Brett, with his usual brilliant teaching, listed a bunch of people who have become 'idols' in people's eyes. I write this at 09:40. UK time on the 9/18/23, so I haven't yet perused any other comments here, so my observation is this: with the very recent recusing of one of his lawyers, as reported in WND, because of her saying that his supporters are also 'idolising' him, Ps.Brett *never* included Donald J. Trump in his list. Did he already know about the story, or did he *deliberately* leave him out, but included Gates and Biden? Only he can say. If Trump was G-d the Father's choice in 2016, and may be again next year, and that He allowed the Dems to be in power to show the American people just what they are really missing because of the whining of "certain" groups, people and organisations in their "mostly peaceful protests", then Trump must not only be seen in the light of being Cyrus-like, but Nebuchadnezzar-like, as recounted in the Book of Daniel, and G-d the Father will restore him for a short while after this madness is passed - the madness being his or America's. As Nebby's madness affected his known world, because he wasn't able to keep power for a time - 7 years, in his case - so Trump's absence has engendered a form of madness in ours, for, maybe, *the same reason!* It is well-known that, in Scripture, G-d the Father *will* use what is necessary, believer in Him *or not,* to achieve His aims and objectives, and will do again, despite ourselves! Even Biden! So, in that light, I think Trump was left out simply because (and did you hear Ps. Brett's slight hesitancy in the listing?), the Holy Spirit did not nudge him to put Trump into that list. Maybe he thought about it when he was writing the teaching sermon, but didn't include the name because he didn't want to 'stir any pots'. Here, I am surmising. But it is, as I say, interesting and, maybe, somewhat prophetic. I could be wrong, but we will see. Shalom and Shana Tova, folks.

I notice that the camera angle has been changed, no longer showing the bull in the background
❤
The bull was the background for the study of Mark. Each new book we start the background theme changes :)
