I use egg yolk and water for my hostas it seems to keep the slugs away too and mostly deer but this past year I have something was at Adam's so I put the hot sauce and garlic powder in with it too and it seemed to really work I use it on my hydrangeas I use it on the hydrangeas going to the big big flowers hellebores now I can't think of what it's called but I use it on other anything that the insects seem to like to eat so it seems to work
