Dream was so much more panicked in this video. The frantic camera movements and block placements during fights lets you know that he was legitimately struggling with the 4 of them, it shows how good the hunters have been getting and it makes Dream's win so much better that he was able to overcome them.
@@hogsboots7454 It's not even just with the protection 4, even before that when in the first desert temple, Dream was still being frantic about block placements even though he just downed a God Apple
think about it tho. I think the biggest imact on this is the fact, that he knows that the vid is going to be seen by at least 20 mil. people. That itself can put a pressure on ones mind
Antfrost is really proving his smarts with activating the pressure plate and placing beds as bombs to find Dream in the nether. I do wish he’d speak up more though!
Finally someone who knows. In a lot of survival servers, not public, it is a good idea for one to go above bedrock in the nether and make a transportation system there. Also, mobs DO spawn there, but not on bedrock. You have to build a platform there to have mobs spawn. A lot of gold farms and other nether farms are built that way.
The problem they had was Sapnap got too cocky. Bed explosions can kill someone with full iron armor unless there's a block between you and the bed (the sign that its gonna work is that majority of the bed is blocked by the block in terms of view) When Netherite hunting, its easy to forget this block and since beds have to be manually detonated, they are one of the biggest dangers. Plus, the explosion causes fire as well and opens up lava pockets, which you can fall into and die from if you aren't ready.

@@just_ise4418 to make a server you have to use something like spigot (or bungeecord/bukkit/forge etc) to actually make the server, spigot provides bug fixes and all that
Some explanation for some of the things said in this video: - So the golden apples were all from the chests in the temples, which is very lucky. He hasn’t been getting gold to craft them. He saves the gold to trade in the nether. - When he was trading with those pigmen in the nether and blocking them in, he wasn’t hiding them, he was keeping them in place so they don’t roam. - Dream screamed “WHAT” when he saw them because he saw all four of them with full enchanted armor but he never saw any of them get the achievement for enchanting. And at least Sapnap and Bad has Protection 4 on his armor, a very strong defensive enchant, making him very difficult to kill in PVP. They also said they have Prot. 5, the BEST protection enchant in the game. - It’s best to pay attention to the dialogue when reacting to his manhunt videos. The biggest disadvantage the hunters have is communication: Dream is very attentive w his surroundings and he pays attention to what the hunters say to each other. With the info he gets from their conversations, he can basically predict what they’re doing and with that, predict how far and close they are. That’s how he knows when to hide and when it’s fine. - Because of the Prot. 4/5 armor they all have, it’s be impossible to kill them. Dream could just avoid them the rest of the game and try to kill the dragon without killing them but that’d be really difficult because they can easily gang up on him without running away. The nether portal plan is pure genius and luck cuz 1) the only way to leave is killing each other and losing their incredible armor 2) They cant get the armor back cuz they don’t know how to get to that portal and 3) it just so happens NONE of them had flint and steel ^^ adding onto that, because Dream is so so smart, sure he may have come up w this plan ahead of time but it wouldn’t have worked if he didn’t happen to get those diamonds from the fortress. It’s most likely he came up w that plan on the spot because other than dropping them into lava, that portal plan was one of the only sure ways to get them to get rid of their armor.

In his analysis video on this Manhunt Dream actually points out that he knew George had flint and steel, but one of their conversations tipped him off on the fact that it's either broke or was about to break real soon! It's pretty genius, to be honest.
1st time, Sapnap blows himself up and they all get massacred. 2nd time, they get trapped in the nether with no way back 3rd time, he kills the dragon within 30 seconds, Bravo Dream, Bravo
Dream detects enemy players nearby by watching their nametags, which are visible through blocks as long as they're in your render distance and not crouching (holding down shift). Meanwhile he is constantly shifting so that he can detect the hunters before they detect him (it's not practical for the hunters to hold shift all the time, they'll be slower than snails that way and unable to catch up to Dream). I myself have to hold down shift a lot when playing on anarchy/pvp servers even in my underground base, because if I don't roaming players will just see me through the ground, dig down, and grief my base. It's really annoying. TNT minecarts explode when they drop down more than three blocks. No fuse needed. That trick of trapping them above bedrock? I can't be sure but I have a feeling that Dream come up with it on the fly, after he sees that he cannot penetrate the hunters' enchanted armor and must think of a way to get rid of them. And I must say it's very, very ingenious. I myself thought that Dream was just going to use the Nether to travel far away when I saw that part, and I literally bounced from my chair, heart racing and clapping my hands until they hurt when he completed the plan and trapped them in the Nether (And actually there are ways to escape the Nether roof available to the hunters, but they're too agitated to figure it out. They want to have their god armor when chasing Dream, so they waste a good amount of time; if they figure it out they'll have the armor, and if they kill themselves seconds after being trapped they'll have the time. At the end, they have neither; you can't even go back onto the roof even if you enter from the portal Dream set up, because the portal on the other side is broken and they'll just be spawned into a random portal below the roof). Yeah, the bed cluster bomb technique is one that Dream picked up recently when speedrunning. It's highly efficient, and I think his day-to-day speedruns really is a good testing ground for new ideas and brainstorming.
I don't know if you contradicted yourself, or I'm missing something, but if one hunter just kills himself, gets a flint and goes into the portal that spawns them under the roof, they can just pearl up through the roof with the flint and light the portal there up to save their armor. You mentioned that they were too agitated to figure a method out, but then you later said that they couldn't get back on the roof after going through the portal on the overworld. Might've just been my confusion, but I think you might've written something you didn't mean to.
you guys are the best reactors c: fun fact: a full set of iron armor with protection IV absorbs about 76% of damage dealt, so an iron axe crit that deals 5 and a half hearts will deal 1 to 1 and a half hearts when the player is wearing the armor w/ enchants. so the hunters did have a massive advantage before they got stuck on the nether roof.

Great reaction as usual! It was really entertaining, the look on both of your faces when Dream one-cycled the dragon was PRICELESS. Answering the things you both said in the video as usual :D -Dream used a TNT minecart because there's no fizzle animation to go through first, it triggers instantly. -Daniel, you had it right, if one of the nether portals is broken, then it'll create a new one nearby. However, the conversion between the distance in the nether and in the overworld is actually 8, not 4. Multiply the X and Z coordinates in the nether by 8, retain the Y, and you've got the exact position you should be in the overworld. Naturally generated portals aren't perfectly synced, though so it's just in the general area. (Also, no matter how high you make a portal in the overworld, it'll never generate above the bedrock ceiling.) -Dream can tell when they're nearby by what the hunters are saying. (Or, sometimes their nametag flashes very briefly. We might not catch it first time watching the video, but there's a chance that Dream did) -Yeah! You can teleport ABOVE the nether ceiling! It's a feature in Minecraft that you can do things above the nether roof. It's really useful for making easy pathways between nether portals without the possibility of being attacked by any of the nether mobs and creating efficient mob farms. Breaking bedrock is also a thing, you can use pistons, TNT, a trapdoor, and a lever. It's possible in-game without cheats to both break the bedrock ceiling of the nether as well as the bedrock floor of the overworld :D -It's still possible for the hunters to find the portal above the bedrock ceiling as long as it's lit, because portals in the overworld that are nearby the nether coordinates will link to it. -I personally believe that getting above the nether was a glitch that Mojang turned into a feature because originally, you couldn't build up there at all, then they extended the build height of the nether twice AND allowed portals to work on the room. -(This is correcting Dream but whatever) The reason nothing spawns on top of the bedrock roof is that bedrock's one of those blocks that mobs can't spawn on. Other examples are carpets, slabs (placed on the lower half of the block), buttons, and pressure plates. If the hunters made a platform that was at least 3x3 big, a ghast would've eventually spawned and they could've kept their stuff. Personally, I've been saying that Dream should pull off going to the nether ceiling since the first 3 hunters manhunt. But, I wasn't expecting him to trap them on the ceiling. It was a very risky move because they might've had something to relight the portal. My original idea was that he goes on top of the ceiling, runs 900 blocks in the nether, and then goes back to the overworld. This would give Dream the achievement Subspace Bubble which means he travelled over 7000 blocks in the overworld and the hunters' reactions would be priceless!

Watching you guys react to Dream is great. Also, nether blocks are each eight blocks in the overworld, not four, but it's awesome to see you guys learning so much. The reason he knows went they are nearby is because he sees their name tags, he can hear what they say, he can hear their movements, and he is a cautious guy. You guys were very funny to watch. :)
btw, there's this guy who plays minecraft, his channel is fruitberries and he's insane at clicking. If you wanted to react to a video of his, I would recommend watching his manhunt video with illumina. ( I just commented this cause you guys joked at how dream is using auto clicker while fruitberries acts like an actual auto clicker, you dont have to react to this on youtube but it would be nice if you would. One thing I realized, Ant is pretty much the smartest out of all of the hunters. Through the beginning from what I’ve seen so far, he’s staying on dream, pulling the good moves.
The “bluff” Dream pulled at the beginning was the golden Apple. There are two kinds of it, one is extremely op with resistance a huge regen, and the other is less so. They thought he might have had more of the op ones, which he used to survive the tnt explosions.

Another thing to note that I don’t see others talking about much, the thing Dream does with the beds to kill the dragon is a speedrunning technique that skips destroying the crystals and kills the dragon once it sits at the middle pillar, mainly called “one-cycle”. Usually it requires about 6 beds but the multiplayer server they were playing on was a bit glitchy so that’s why it took a lot more
Its not actually about being noobs or pros in this situation. Everything Dream uses is normal information to an average minecraft player. For example: Tnt minecarts explode on impact with any entity, block, etc. Players can stand on boats. End crystals are craftable and causes an explosion greater than that of a charged creeper. Its not the fact that he's a pro. Its the fact that he knows how, when, where and the exact moment he needs to do these things. He's a quick thinker and an intelligent player.
A couple of things about this (most of this is already mentioned by other people) 1. TNT minecarts are much much better than traditional tnt, the only downside being that they have to be placed on rails. They can stack onto each other (so if you stack 4 minecarts, you can have 4 times the tnt in a one block space). 2. The reason why he mined the ground under the blaze spawned is because it would increase the amount of blazes spawned per minute. 3. They got Protection 4 by unemploying the villagers, employing them, rinse and repeat to get protection 4 books again, and again, and again. 4. This is a bit unrelated and you probably already know this but the reason why they used axes instead of swords is because it does more damage (but it uses more durability and takes longer to hit), and it also disables shields. 5. Going through the roof is a common tactic in the nether. It doesn’t work on Bedrock Edition but it’s still a cool thing. You can break bedrock (many RUclips videos showcase how to do it) so that’s how people get back down. The hunters could have relit the portal because ghasts still spawn up there. 6. The reason why the dragon stayed so long above the bedrock is because he kept on pushing the dragon back up, and the dragon kept on trying to get back down. Thanks for reading

What ive found from Dream's manhunt videos and watching his analysis of them from his second channel (where he talks about what he does and why) is that about 50% of the strategy and warfare comes in forms other than the fights themselves. Psychological tactics like trying to trick your opponent into doing what you want or need them to do, using clues like their head to see when they plan on fighting, their screams to know when they are low, and not giving those clues yourself unless you mean to. you notice how he doesn't freak out when he's on 1 heart at all? if he were to, it would reveal that he is low and the hunters would become more aggressive. By not giving it away he can pull bluffs like chasing after them when he's low to make them think he's in better shape than he is. The portal trap for example- if the hunters had followed him in immediately like sapnap advised the video would've ended there, but because Dream didn't give clues and acted as if he had planned this- it made bad overthink the situation, buying him time to get the portal mined and to get away. Then egging them to follow him into the second portal by acting scared purposefully, making them confident. The majority of that trap relied not on the mechanic of the portal or destroying it, but getting the hunters into the position where it worked, which dream did wonderfully. Also the end scene where he talks about hiding, He's trying to convince the hunters that he really IS on the outer ring, he doesn't say it directly but he runs with what they've latched onto. of course he is an insanely talented player, has good knowledge of the game and is constantly aware of what's around him and what he can use- but that skill alone wouldn't have won him this game- his acting is ON POINT, that combined with his skill is what gave him the win here.

I used to be a Dream fan when the first time I saw his manhunt videos which is the 3 hunters rematch and I slowly think that Dream is really taking his videos and when the first I saw tommyinnit's video is that Dream is really he is. Speedrunners do it speedrun as have more efficient ways to kill the ender dragon green found an efficient guy that you could kill ender dragon fast enough beds if you have enough time because every time you have more damage your dragon the last time you have to do much damage to thank dr . The explosion things the customs and tariff act fast because if you don't use a lot of beds then you have a hard time killing the ender dragon

the way dream is able to see when they are nearby is because he can see their nametags through blocks. the reason they can't see him is because he's crouching and when you crouch in game your nametag disappears. when dream glitched through the bedrock to the top of the nether, that's a glitch that's pretty much known by a lot of minecraft veterans. it's starting to get used a lot these days. the way the hunters got trapped at the top of the nether was because the tnt blew the portal out, but not the obsidian. that's why they needed a flint and steel. george had asked if ghasts spawn up there but that wouldn't have worked because even though they spit fire it can't light portals. the only way they got out was by dying. but they couldn't get back there and lost their op ass armor.
oK i'm a bit late bUT- TNT Minecarts instantly explode when taking fall damage or hitting a wall at high speeds. 25:41 Welcome to the Nether Roof! A limitless space with a build height limit of 128, perfect for building mob farms and large builds! The method to get in is commonly known among most Minecraft players, but for Dream to do it first try is really lucky. Also, if you were ever wondering why they couldn't just send 1 person to save them, Minecraft is programmed to make portals in non-glitch-accessible areas. The bedrock ceiling is only accessible via glitches, but Mojang kept the glitches since people kept using it, and it didn't really break the game. 23:41 Correction, it's 8 blocks, not 4.
Is anyone curious how low Sapnap was? Dream landed 5 crit hits and one normal hit. The math seems like he would be fairly low, not taking into account regeneration. Edit: Sapnap said the crits did 1.5 hearts. Ignoring natural regeneration, that would be 8.5 hearts of damage, putting Sapnap at 1.5 hearts left
He was not lying in the whole intire game guys because when you put a bed in the end world it will explode because it is an additional interior that can be exploded in the neder and to the end world

One cycling the dragon is known to be the most advanced Minecraft speedrunning skill. Your timing has to be PERFECT in order to kill the dragon
and its really glitched in spigot so it doesnt work as well which is why he wasn't able to completely kill the dragon with just the beds

You just said it yourself that he's very attentive to what the Hunters are saying while communicating with each other. In his analysis video on this Manhunt Dream actually points out that he knew George had flint and steel, but one of their conversations tipped him off on the fact that it's either broke or was about to break real soon! It's pretty genius, to be honest.

Dream detects enemy players nearby by watching their nametags, which are visible through blocks as long as they're in your render distance and not crouching (holding down shift). Meanwhile he is constantly shifting so that he can detect the hunters before they detect him (it's not practical for the hunters to hold shift all the time, they'll be slower than snails that way and unable to catch up to Dream). I myself have to hold down shift a lot when playing on anarchy/pvp servers even in my underground base, because if I don't roaming players will just see me through the ground, dig down, and grief my base. It's really annoying.
TNT minecarts explode when they drop down more than three blocks. No fuse needed.
That trick of trapping them above bedrock? I can't be sure but I have a feeling that Dream come up with it on the fly, after he sees that he cannot penetrate the hunters' enchanted armor and must think of a way to get rid of them. And I must say it's very, very ingenious. I myself thought that Dream was just going to use the Nether to travel far away when I saw that part, and I literally bounced from my chair, heart racing and clapping my hands until they hurt when he completed the plan and trapped them in the Nether (And actually there are ways to escape the Nether roof available to the hunters, but they're too agitated to figure it out. They want to have their god armor when chasing Dream, so they waste a good amount of time; if they figure it out they'll have the armor, and if they kill themselves seconds after being trapped they'll have the time. At the end, they have neither; you can't even go back onto the roof even if you enter from the portal Dream set up, because the portal on the other side is broken and they'll just be spawned into a random portal below the roof).
Yeah, the bed cluster bomb technique is one that Dream picked up recently when speedrunning. It's highly efficient, and I think his day-to-day speedruns really is a good testing ground for new ideas and brainstorming.

I don't know if you contradicted yourself, or I'm missing something, but if one hunter just kills himself, gets a flint and goes into the portal that spawns them under the roof, they can just pearl up through the roof with the flint and light the portal there up to save their armor.
You mentioned that they were too agitated to figure a method out, but then you later said that they couldn't get back on the roof after going through the portal on the overworld. Might've just been my confusion, but I think you might've written something you didn't mean to.

fun fact: a full set of iron armor with protection IV absorbs about 76% of damage dealt, so an iron axe crit that deals 5 and a half hearts will deal 1 to 1 and a half hearts when the player is wearing the armor w/ enchants. so the hunters did have a massive advantage before they got stuck on the nether roof.

Answering the things you both said in the video as usual :D
-Dream used a TNT minecart because there's no fizzle animation to go through first, it triggers instantly.
-Daniel, you had it right, if one of the nether portals is broken, then it'll create a new one nearby. However, the conversion between the distance in the nether and in the overworld is actually 8, not 4. Multiply the X and Z coordinates in the nether by 8, retain the Y, and you've got the exact position you should be in the overworld. Naturally generated portals aren't perfectly synced, though so it's just in the general area. (Also, no matter how high you make a portal in the overworld, it'll never generate above the bedrock ceiling.)
-Dream can tell when they're nearby by what the hunters are saying. (Or, sometimes their nametag flashes very briefly. We might not catch it first time watching the video, but there's a chance that Dream did)
-Yeah! You can teleport ABOVE the nether ceiling! It's a feature in Minecraft that you can do things above the nether roof. It's really useful for making easy pathways between nether portals without the possibility of being attacked by any of the nether mobs and creating efficient mob farms. Breaking bedrock is also a thing, you can use pistons, TNT, a trapdoor, and a lever. It's possible in-game without cheats to both break the bedrock ceiling of the nether as well as the bedrock floor of the overworld :D
-It's still possible for the hunters to find the portal above the bedrock ceiling as long as it's lit, because portals in the overworld that are nearby the nether coordinates will link to it.
-I personally believe that getting above the nether was a glitch that Mojang turned into a feature because originally, you couldn't build up there at all, then they extended the build height of the nether twice AND allowed portals to work on the room.
-(This is correcting Dream but whatever) The reason nothing spawns on top of the bedrock roof is that bedrock's one of those blocks that mobs can't spawn on. Other examples are carpets, slabs (placed on the lower half of the block), buttons, and pressure plates. If the hunters made a platform that was at least 3x3 big, a ghast would've eventually spawned and they could've kept their stuff.
Personally, I've been saying that Dream should pull off going to the nether ceiling since the first 3 hunters manhunt. But, I wasn't expecting him to trap them on the ceiling. It was a very risky move because they might've had something to relight the portal. My original idea was that he goes on top of the ceiling, runs 900 blocks in the nether, and then goes back to the overworld. This would give Dream the achievement Subspace Bubble which means he travelled over 7000 blocks in the overworld and the hunters' reactions would be priceless!

The “bluff” Dream pulled at the beginning was the golden Apple. There are two kinds of it, one is extremely op with resistance a huge regen, and the other is less so. They thought he might have had more of the op ones, which he used to survive the tnt explosions.

Hey FAD, I don't usually make these type of comments, but I thought that you guys would enjoy knowing that seeing a new video from you guys made me genuinely excited and feel a bit happier. I was having one of Those Days (you know what I mean lmao) and seeing your video gave me a bit of energy to keep going throughout the day. Another thing to note that I don’t see others talking about much, the thing Dream does with the beds to kill the dragon is a speedrunning technique that skips destroying the crystals and kills the dragon once it sits at the middle pillar, mainly called “one-cycle”. Usually it requires about 6 beds but the multiplayer server they were playing on was a bit glitchy so that’s why it took a lot more

Its not actually about being noobs or pros in this situation. Everything Dream uses is normal information to an average minecraft player. For example:
Tnt minecarts explode on impact with any entity, block, etc.
Players can stand on boats.
End crystals are craftable and causes an explosion greater than that of a charged creeper.
Its not the fact that he's a pro. Its the fact that he knows how, when, where and the exact moment he needs to do these things. He's a quick thinker and an intelligent player.

A couple of things about this (most of this is already mentioned by other people)
1. TNT minecarts are much much better than traditional tnt, the only downside being that they have to be placed on rails. They can stack onto each other (so if you stack 4 minecarts, you can have 4 times the tnt in a one block space).
2. The reason why he mined the ground under the blaze spawned is because it would increase the amount of blazes spawned per minute.
3. They got Protection 4 by unemploying the villagers, employing them, rinse and repeat to get protection 4 books again, and again, and again.
4. This is a bit unrelated and you probably already know this but the reason why they used axes instead of swords is because it does more damage (but it uses more durability and takes longer to hit), and it also disables shields.
5. Going through the roof is a common tactic in the nether. It doesn’t work on Bedrock Edition but it’s still a cool thing. You can break bedrock (many RUclips videos showcase how to do it) so that’s how people get back down. The hunters could have relit the portal because ghasts still spawn up there.
6. The reason why the dragon stayed so long above the bedrock is because he kept on pushing the dragon back up, and the dragon kept on trying to get back down.

What ive found from Dream's manhunt videos and watching his analysis of them from his second channel (where he talks about what he does and why) is that about 50% of the strategy and warfare comes in forms other than the fights themselves. Psychological tactics like trying to trick your opponent into doing what you want or need them to do, using clues like their head to see when they plan on fighting, their screams to know when they are low, and not giving those clues yourself unless you mean to. you notice how he doesn't freak out when he's on 1 heart at all? if he were to, it would reveal that he is low and the hunters would become more aggressive. By not giving it away he can pull bluffs like chasing after them when he's low to make them think he's in better shape than he is.
The portal trap for example- if the hunters had followed him in immediately like sapnap advised the video would've ended there, but because Dream didn't give clues and acted as if he had planned this- it made bad overthink the situation, buying him time to get the portal mined and to get away. Then egging them to follow him into the second portal by acting scared purposefully, making them confident. The majority of that trap relied not on the mechanic of the portal or destroying it, but getting the hunters into the position where it worked, which dream did wonderfully.
Also the end scene where he talks about hiding, He's trying to convince the hunters that he really IS on the outer ring, he doesn't say it directly but he runs with what they've latched onto.
of course he is an insanely talented player, has good knowledge of the game and is constantly aware of what's around him and what he can use- but that skill alone wouldn't have won him this game- his acting is ON POINT, that combined with his skill is what gave him the win here.

Speedrunners do it speedrun as have more efficient ways to kill the ender dragon green found an efficient guy that you could kill ender dragon fast enough beds if you have enough time because every time you have more damage your dragon the last time you have to do much damage to thank dr . The explosion things the customs and tariff act fast because if you don't use a lot of beds then you have a hard time killing the ender dragon

the way dream is able to see when they are nearby is because he can see their nametags through blocks. the reason they can't see him is because he's crouching and when you crouch in game your nametag disappears.
when dream glitched through the bedrock to the top of the nether, that's a glitch that's pretty much known by a lot of minecraft veterans. it's starting to get used a lot these days.
the way the hunters got trapped at the top of the nether was because the tnt blew the portal out, but not the obsidian. that's why they needed a flint and steel. george had asked if ghasts spawn up there but that wouldn't have worked because even though they spit fire it can't light portals. the only way they got out was by dying. but they couldn't get back there and lost their op ass armor.
