I recently got bored with neutrals and decided to add more color for fun (inspired by all of Sezane's beautiful palettes). All of the colors felt overwhelming so I started by doing a seasonal color analysis (based on skin tone, eyes, hair, etc) and found out I'm a "Cool Summer," so muted, somewhat dark, cool tones like berry, pine, and soft navy were the perfect additions to my wardrobe. Feeling refreshed now!

100% Jess, you are definitely not alone. It is amazing how we evolve over time and how this is swayed by the environment we find ourselves in. I think big life changes are the perfect opportunity to grow and this includes our style. Such a great refresh :)

I hope you don´t misunderstand my suggestion. I love your style, but sometimes it is interesting to do the opposite of what you are used to do. It might open new doors…❤️

This so ink skirt is adorable 😍
I love buying clothes during my trip/vacation ( I always try to buy something that will compliment my wardrobe)
So when I wear them at home I will remember my trip. Buying a new piece of clothes instead of souvenirs that will clutter my home ( unless it’s really a crush).
I’m more comfortable about my wardrobe during autumn and winter, I do struggle in summer 😅 . I do have a lot of linen dresses I wear all year long but in summer I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️, I end up wearing on repeat a linen pants ( I had for years ! 😂) with a linen shirt or a marigold linen dress I love .
🤍 I glad you feeling better about your body 🤍

Excellent video. It seems that as soon as I figure something out life changes and I’m trying to figure out how to dress again. I definitely struggle with winter. I am way more confident in late spring and summer in my clothes. I’m trying not to make too many changes especially at once. I started to do a 10 item wardrobe (although I do not understand why it’s called that) and it was eye opening immediately. I need color in the winter. I am trying to be good and not buy winter stuff until toward the end of summer so I have time to think about it.

Brilliant Jess, I find watching your open, honest and authentic vlogs so inspiring and at the same time reassuring. I'm approaching my 64th birthday and have tried to, in a limited way reinvent myself many times. Having worn a uniform for many years I found I lost myself in my professional identity. Watching and hearing your honesty makes me feel validated as i learn others, much younger and different situations, may need to reinvent their look too. Thanks so much

I think its because previously I've felt to short for maxi/midi dresses but have recently found some that have worked with my body shape so have been enjoying wearing them :) :) So I say embrace the wardobe desires and definately mix it up to what you need :) :)

Love it! I've been wanting to find my style and simplify my wardrobe for so long but it's so hard. I have lots of bits and pieces but I feel like the key for me might be to buy full outfits in one go. Obviously that is expensive so may not be able to buy v often but could do occasionally maybe. I really feel like I am on a parallel with your journey at mo in discovering yourself. Perhaps it's something to do with the confidence u gain being mid 30's. Thanks for being an inspiration x yes exactly 'not buying for newness but for new evolved versions of ourselves' 🥰 I'm still trying to work out what that looks like for me but it's a process x

@JessicaRoseWilliams yes thats a good reminder, I often find it stressful but it should be fun. I'm a summer dress girl now and forever haha. I guess it depends on what you personally love and feel good in because that's when a piece really shines imo, as well as who's wearing it. I can't wait to get the same ones I wore last year (and the years before that) out - BUT I'm going to tailor them so they're more nipped in at my waist. I'm not a fan of trends, I think we should focus on getting in touch with our personal style which comes from within as opposed to directed at us from social media, mags etc (though they're great for Inspo!).
