    If anyone doesn't have the spacer for 5kg rolls of wire, just go to a plumbing supplier and get 56mm PVC waste pipe and cut to i think 22mm iirc might be different in the US.
    Im not sure what the imperial versions would be im in Europe Ireland

    Nice video and valuable information. Aluminum is a whole different animal than what I’m used to. I primarily weld carbon and some stainless so this is like welding 101 for me😂

      I am glad you enjoyed the video. Over the years I talked to hundreds of customers, some were new welder other welded for decades but one thing most of them have in common is: they have very little or no aluminum welding experience. Often times they were told that welding aluminum is very difficult BUT that is just not true! It’s just different….! So I am making these videos and talk to guys over the phone to help them to get their feet wet in aluminum welding.

    Thanks for your no BS welder reviews ! Glad i saw your "NoWelder" (YesWelder) review..i almost ordered one! 😮. Question So does this HTP Pro pulse eliminate the need for a spool gun? I rarely need really long leads because i work on small stuff.

    • @ZILAwelds

      Yes it does, it has s dedicated mig gun with a special liner 9ft long and it works like a charm

    Thx. With your setting of 17 volts for 1/8 the transfer mode sounded like short circuit. Is that right?

    • @ZILAwelds
      @ZILAwelds  8 месяцев назад +1

      You mean the -2.9 trim?
      YES that was too low for demonstration purposes
      Ir do you mean the manual mode just after that ?
      Well - THAT is the downfall of spool guns …. Anything under 1/8” material thickness is not good welding w/o pulse on aluminum …. Miller even will give you a setting for 14ga aluminum on a 252 with 30A spool gun …. BUT it is short circuit and not really suitable

    • @johnmacmillan627
      @johnmacmillan627 8 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the reply. In pulse mode for 1/8 and thinner does the voltage and amperage get high enough for spray transfer? Also, in pulse mode the upper amperage is higher than in non pulsed mode and the base amperage is lower but does the voltage change?

    • @ZILAwelds
