Optional - The latest standalone installations of ComfyUI use 3.11.x - its now safe to upgrade my friends! (ComfyUI has an embedded version of Python, and it helps to have this embedded version match the version that you install - do not go above 3.11.x for the time being). Version 3.10.6 is compatible with other versions of Stable Diffusion.

Ok, am I missing something? How is Stable Diffusion now used in ComfyUI? I expected this video to show that. Is it a node you have to add?
I'm fairly new to Comfy (Stable Diffusion also actually). I was using Stable Diffusion with the Depthmap extension to generate depthmap videos. But I can only handle no more than 3 minute videos. So larger ones need to be cut and manually inserted. I saw with ComfyUI there is a node where you can select a folder, and it would automatically select a new video when one is done.
Don't actually know if there is a video deptmap node for ComfyUI.

I have a few issues with setting it up. I've installed everything and extracted the comfy UI folder. When I click to open the main folder I can only see the ComfyUI, python_embedded and update folders. To find the run.bat files and read me file I have to use the search bar top right. When I find the run.bat file and click it, then it opens with different instructions and press any key to continue. I press space or enter and it closes and nothing happens. Can you advise how to fix this?

I installed the exact version of Python you suggested, but even in advanced options it doesn't say "add python to path" anywhere in there.

The install option you want is "Customize installation" then "next" (defaults here are fine) "next" then Tick off "Add Python to environment variables" then click "install".

I think the URL for Python in the desc is mistaken for Git

How much disk space does this take?

I would want to have 20-30GB free, but the bare minimum is probably 15GB including the .7z file that you can delete once it is expanded. The SD 1.5 checkpoint is 7.7GB. If you want SDXL it has 2 checkpoints that are just under 7GB each (for the rough and refiner stages).
