AGT Champions is a gathering of previous winners of the global competition. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 7 years old. WON. When she was only 7. She was 13 when she performed in America's Got Talent. Check out her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody (her debut on AGT).

Welcome to the wonderful Angelina Jordan cosmos. It is all beauty and musical joy all over the place. For 7 years now she has been one of the main musical input to me, as I allready dropped my jaw to the floor at her first appearence at the "Norwegian Talents" show in early 2014. (I still keep dropping it as soon as she open her mouth. Can`t help it. :-D )
As you know by now, she then was 7 years old, and if you watch this "Yellow Brick Road" video again, take notis of her T-shirt with her grandma`s painted portrett of the 7 YO Angelina, as she gave her audition for the NGT.
Be sure to investigate where it all started, and react to her earliest appearences. I also do recomend that you get familiar with her stunning versality. This girl of 1000 voices is mastering any song of any genre she choose to go for. And allways, as you said, effortlessly. And even to the point of perfection. She never dissapoint, but almost allways surprises us all. You are in for an amazing journey my friend. As a new subscriber I`ll follow you along the way.

So effortless! When she hits those high notes, her face remains calm, unlike other singers whose face creases, showing an increase in effort. Her runs are crazy!
Angela is world class. This version of the song was created by Sara Barielles, who is insanely talented. Angelina is gonna take over the world someday.
My fav is when she was 7 on Norways got talent. 4 songs. 1st - I'm a fool to want you (sung a-capella) Gloomy Sunday, Bang Bang, and then the last Summertime. All jazz to start and then many many more i.e. Autumn Leaves, very difficult and she does it so easily (I think about 9/10 years old) p.s.
She pretty much makes every song her own...while still respecting the original. She is at once fearless, serene, and innovative (and with an insane vocal toolbox) ..a hard combination to beat. Keep reacting to her and your sense of wonder will grow.

She is incredible?!
That was Angelina's second performance on AGT the C and I think she already knew that she would not be in the finals. That's why she appeared a bit subdued I think.
Good pickup on Angelina using some jazz techniques in that performance. Angelina cut her teeth on jazz and blues from before her teeth had actually grown. When she performed on The View, at 8yo, she was asked when she started to sing and what was her first song and she answered "1.5yo and jazz".

The purity and tone of her voice gets to u everytime....her covers eith just a guitar or piano are my favs because it truly shows her magical genius....u need to see her sing "I put a spell on u: at 9 yrs old....will blown away!!!

She started with jazz! You should go back to the beginning. Her auditions for Norways Got Talent, which she won at 7! Just got better and better! Love her voice!

Yes she won Norway's Got Talent... when she was 8 years old, over 6 years ago. Her initial performance on AGT (The Champions) about a year ago was "Bohemian Rhapsody". She received a Golden Buzzer and therefore went straight to the Finals (final 10 acts). That is where she performed "Yellow Brick Road" and where she was eliminated for reasons that are too complicated to explain here. Her last performance (just for show, not competition) on AGT was "Someone You Loved" with Tyler Butler-Figueroa and Ksenia Simonova. In the 6 years between NGT and AGT she put out upwards of 130 different songs on RUclips; you have a lot of catching up to do.

perfect list i have seen many of angelinas performances and you have picked out the best from each age though i would add someone you loved on agt age 13 which is my favorite of hers along with stay million years ago and i put a spell on you and i cant wait to see her at 15/16/17/18/25/30/40/50
I would add the Whitney Houston tribute "I have nothing". This shows a different (and surprising) side of her. One of my favorites.

I loved this her version of the song, so melancholy and slowed down, with these incredible vocal games that really have changed this old song by Elton John, also if she is started from the version of Sara Bareilles. From the first time I listened to her, with the lights and her yellow / orange dress perfectly in the character, I've seen it dozens of times, but every time I hear her, the emotion assails me again ❤️ ❤️

But Nathan is very difficult to recommend which of her songs or which covers to listen to, because everything she has sung in these 7 years is of an astounding quality, since her very first appearances at NGT in 2014. In most of her performances she is accompanied by a single instrument, guitar or piano, and uses it only as a light musical carpet that accompanies her incredible voice.
Thank you again Nathan for this wonderful reaction. Angie made that yellow outfit as most of her clothes for shows & concerts. (Angie was on AGT just to get exposed to the US market) It wasn't important to win otherwise she would have to sign with Simon & she didn't do that so she got 6th place.

I remember this song when Elton sang it I think in the seventies . I was a teenager then. I am a grand mum now . The song it was never a favorite of mine. When I heard it from Angelina , I became a teenager again!!!!! I adore this wonderful girl with the wonderful voice!!!!! Thank you Jonathan for the lovely reaction. "Million Miles" is a great song, but with this first live performance you've seen from Angelina, I think you really saw some of the things that make her so special. Live is always better for Angelina, and the more stripped back the accompaniment the more her voice shines (but she can also hold her own in front of a full orchestra as you will see at some point) There's a ton to discover with Angelina, and you are just getting started. As you check out more and more of her stuff you are going to be amazed over and over. Her versatility is insane. Even when you're 10-20 songs into her library, she is still going to keep surprising you.

...as always for anyone new to Angelina, here is a little bio so that you can learn a little more about her background and her kind and caring soul.......
*Angelina Jordan*
- Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 14
- She began singing at the age of one and a half
- At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos.
- *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help.
Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person.
- She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old.
- In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes"
- When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need.
- The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. After she won NGT, they did not want her to be thrust into stardom before she had a chance to grow up as a normal child, and get her education. They allowed her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that came in. Over the years since NGT, they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney.
- Angelina has covered more than 130 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else)
- Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent.
- Angelina has written four of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield", "Oslo", and "Million Miles" (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube)
In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a beautiful world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.
Update: On Aug 26, 2020 Angelina's Manager/Uncle announced in an interview that they have decided on Republic Records as the best fit for Angelina and she is now signed with them as their "highest priority new artist". On Nov 6 she has released her first single under Republic... "Million Miles"! She has done so much already, but at 14 she is just getting started!!!

Yes, Jazz is her bread and butter and her go-to genre, but she has performed just about every genre (rap and metal excluded) that you can imagine. @Name NotImportant I think Angelina must have heard Heidi say "when you were on" or "when you went on" instead of "when you won" because the last two Norway's Talents songs have been nailed down pretty well by people who were there as having been done after her eight birthday. Alternatively, she may have remembered incorrectly. I rarely get closer than the right decade as to when I did things, myself.
@Name NotImportant There's no question about it: she was 8 when she won NGT. The semifinals and final episode were broadcast live, in April and May 2014. She was born on 10 January 2006.

The power of her voice is particularly striking in Its A Man's World (at 12 years old) and in her cover of Whitney Houston, I Have Nothing (at 13 years old).
Her major contribution to the music industry? In my opinion, her use of phonetics to give to songs their proper color through ornementation as a tribute or an homage.
Like here: she mimicks the sound of the owl in the woods before pronouncing so slightly the word owel itself: from the 6:39 mark to 6:45.
I do not know another artist who would compare to her in that kind of contribution to musical art.
Start with her early stuff and follow as she grows and see how she learns and gets better. Start with Fly Me to the moon(7) i put a spell on you(9) Feeling good(10) and so on. You will be able to tell then from her looks how old is she in each clip. its a journey following her career.

Nathan Longwell, Power in her voice is demonstrated in several songs but I recommend "I'd rather go blind".
This was the second song she sang in the Finals. My favorite is the first one she sang, Bohemian Rhapsody. BTW, they wanted her to sign a contract, and said if she didn’t sign, she wouldn’t win. She didn’t sign.

This was a Champions competition so Angelina qualified as Norway’s Champion. She got the Golden Buzzer singing “ bohemian Rhapsody” & this her second performance. However, the so called “Superfans” did not even voter her into the top 5 showing the show is not truly about talent because the other performer who failed to make the top 5 was Marcelito Pompey!?!

Wow wow wow i know othet singers can reach some high notes but angelina has an hypnotic sound no one has what she has got she's a star in the making and the fact she didn't win the x factor final is beyond words she was 200 xs better than the guy who won

I think for the final the singer gives a list of songs, so Simon would have chosen this, you can't say that he doesn't have a sense of humor, the lyrics " I didn't sing up to you" reflects that Angelina would not sign the usual contract to give rights to AGT. Howie made his usual comment that means "yes you are really good but don't stand a chance of winning" need to be novelty act and American to win....

Agt champions are previous winners competing again.so theres no "audition". They are invited or submit their willingness to appear.
Ok, so on AGT Champions Edition, Angelina performed Bohemian Rhapsody for her audition, she was awarded the golden buzzer for that performance and went straight to the finals where she performed Yellow Brick Road. The only other performance was her with two other contestants doing Someone You loved, this was just for entertainment during the final show.
