wrong way of solving, how you wrote the equation ? x+40=6(x+15) then answer comes x=-10 ........... after correction we have equation 40-x=6(15-x) so answer comes x=10 now

Sir here we have to find out previous age not present so the equations should be like this 40-x for dad and 15-x for daughter bcz present age for both is already given and x must be the supposition for age before not after. Thank you
Its easy... When lubna is 5 year old and father was 30 years old... Just multuply 5 lubna age with 6 times older father age you get exactly 30..hence 10 is right becoz we less 10 and from ages.. Than lubna age to 6 times its 30 years father age which is less than 10 from current.
