thank you for this video! It was super helpful :) I also wanted to ask if udub follows only a quarter system.. like can you opt for a semester or is it strictly quarters? also in one of your videos, you’d mentioned that you’d have rather bought a tablet than a laptop for college.. can you please tell me why since I was planning on getting a new laptop😅
You’re welcome! I’m glad you’re enjoying the UW content :) UW is strictly quarters so you can’t opt for a semester. In a lot of my classes, especially the big lectures, there was not a lot of desk space for both my laptop and notebook. If you don’t mind typing out your notes, then a laptop is fine, but I personally enjoy writing my notes (also there’s studies that show writing is more effective in retaining the info than typing). You can also type with a tablet by just buying a keyboard case (so it acts just like a laptop in many ways). I think having both a laptop and a tablet is great (I have both and use both daily), but it’s definitely not necessary, and I think the smartest financial decision would be to purchase one. A couple of my friends used tablets instead of traditional laptops during their freshman year and they also agree that it was a better choice. At the end, it’s totally up to you, but here are my thoughts!
Thank u so much, I was just wondering about it and ur video showed up!
