He did the comps in Madrid and Moscow for seriously weird reasons (apparently in Korea when your PhD advisor says "further research is required", it means you gotta make the 8 at a Grand Prix). Unless the team crashes and burns hard at Budapest and sends out some kind of batsignal, he's gone.

Yeah I know World Champs is impossible due to tight quota for national fencing federation (max 4 for each national fed)

Not really. I saw the last couple of points and it was pretty depressing. Kim Junghwan was not running full power that fight at all.
