Real talk man appreciate you sharing your experience with everyone!!! This is really nice of you to do so... the mapping is one I have done on smaller scale like 3d models but you know it takes time.
Clickbait? I have a proven track record of all my work. Did I create a training to help people quickly learn how to build a high-value skillset, yes I did because I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars to figure this all out without online resources because those things did not exist.
while i'd say 90% of courses are bullshit ways to just sell shovels during a gold rush, I think this might be one you can actually get value from. yes, he's trying to build out more revenue streams, that's what people do in a capitalist society, it's what you do when you've acquired a lot of knowledge and experience and want to monetize it. Dylan has given a lot of free advice over the years as well. Still i am with you, it get bad vibes and immediately turned off whenever people start selling a course, just because of the bad reputation that generally has.
Thanks Mr. Gorman! Great to see your passion for what you love to do. I like the "do no distract" vest. Useful in other situations. 😁. I want to learn more as I believe even though I am disabled, I could do this on the side, especially the organization of the data and creating the final deliverable.
With drone mapping, in my state and most in the US, any photogrammetry where measurements are taken requires a certified surveyor to sign off. How do you work around this in your mapping projects?
You don't work around it. You hire a surveyor to stamp your projects or work for a client that has them on staff

Hi Dylan, great job! Now being a photographer/videographer and now also drone pilot, I work on expensive apple MacBooks and do not want/can put valuable time into investing/learning PC. However, I am interested in learning mapping/3d modelling/Lidar. What programs can I use for this on the Mac system?
Pix4D Mapper and Matic, Metashape also works on Mac! If you want to learn mapping and 3D modeling check out my course, it’s still $100 off now but offers extensive training on all the critical knowledge needed to provide this as a service!
Different drone than the mapping one. You need the Mavic enterprise3 T with thermic sensor . Different drone as well for farming industry where you need rgb sensor to monitor crops parasites etc
Great information. This is exactly how I'm looking to expand my drone services. I want to learn more about drone mapping and lidar and infrared, etc. I want to work with the nonprofit sectors and environmental restoration. I'm going to look into your course. I had my first big drone job recently shooting video for a super yacht ad.

I appreciate that!
Of course....selling a course. I wish youtubers didn't go down this clickbait route.

I hear you but that is not my intention at all.
Don't take a course! Go work for a real geospatial\Engineering firm. I would never hire an independent UAV\LiDAR operator for my company's projects
Many different ways to approach this industry, just sharing how it’s worked for me. Your way works just as well!

I'm in the middle of starting my freelance career and you've helped inspire it. 😁
That's awesome!
I think i'd goto Florida just to take your class.
Great info, always good stuff. Just wondering if you were going to do a followup video on the Holybro x650.
Did you post the list of suggested networking events? I missed it.

I’ve built several relationships with surveyors and engineers to provide the data to them for their own use. It’s a yin and yang approach

Does mapping also relate to search and rescue?

Hey that’s amazing! Going into the AEC (architectural, engineering and construction) industry with drones is the way to go and make good money!
Dylan, thank you! Anyone watching this, take Dylans course, you won’t be sorry.
Thank you as always!
this video is worthless 👎
Sorry you feel that way
Tell us why ? Any argument ?
I found the video great .
