Im asking this cause it kind of defeats the purpose of having RF signals that depends on an infra-structure that can go down . Hiya Joseph 🙏 Dmr is a mode all on its own, you can have a contact radio to radio just the same as analogue FM it just uses dmr. You can also link dmr to the internet just like you can echolink for FM for example. Most dmr is used through a hotspot via the internet but can also be used radio to radio as long as your both using dmr radios 🙏
Let's say I have my radio set on a repeater channel and the code plug for that channel is set for time slot 2 with the static talk group of 31540. Then someone comes along and changes the talk group to a dynamic one of 31513 and starts talking. I decide I want to talk on the static group of 31540 and I put a call out because I don't have my radio programmed for that dynamic group of 31513 so never hear that time slot 2 is in use. How do I prevent that problem from happening?
gday matt.. in 1 of your videos , you created an end call for the retevis rt3s radio. In my programming software i cannot see an "end call" status. Is there any easy way to disconnect 4000 via a button press , or dtmf? thanks
Hi Marty 🙏 it's done by programming your side button to call access or something (can't remember of the top of my head) and then you can select the "call" it makes below it, it's all on the same area on the programming software. Hope that helps a little buddy and thanks for watching 🙏

You should put your instructional videos in a better layout. Think about what you want to talk about, and stay on task. You're all over the place, talking random crap. Says everything you need to know but just jumps right into it without explanation and assumes you know what DMR, hotspots and other things are.
Thanks for the feedback John! 73 👍
Back ground music is distracting. I was unable to watch because it is taking away from your voice and is almost on level with your voice. Do you play this music when you are broadcasting as a Ham? Of course not, you want people to hear you.
Scrap the music. I can't understand what you are saying.
Do you realise how often you use the words ‘obviously ‘ and. ‘Basicaly’. 😉😉😂
Yes I do 😂😂 I get told it all the time! Sorry 😭 I find it hard to stop saying it constantly but I take your feedback on board 🙏 thanks for watching 😊
@@m6ceb opps forgot to say how much I enjoyed your video , very professionally produced and as a new comer to DMR very informative and pitched right for the likes of myself . Look forward to watching your other videos. Great stuff Matt. Noel G4PEW

You should put your instructional videos in a better layout. Think about what you want to talk about, and stay on task. You're all over the place, talking random crap. You continually say, It's nothing to worry about, yet you don't explain what "it" is.
You lost me the first time you went into a rambling banter with no direction.
You have a solid voice for instructional videos, and you have good inflection, but you really need to format your plan before you execute.
Hope to see you on here more.
too much chat for me....lost interest
Very interesting,gona get my i.d. s.a.p.Thanks G7VNK
