As a 6th sem students I can tell you some point to get your dream job from my experience and mistakes.. 1st semester - Definitely you go for a programming language (java recommended) and after that obviously data structures on it 2nd semester - Go for competitive just to explore things and with some development skills web or mobile or ML whichever works for you.. 3rd semester - Brush up your programming skills giving contest on various platforms. And learn the theory subs like OS DBMS OOPs CN etc .. Most of the subs in b tech are there in BCA too but the syllabus is too smal or incomplete. You have to learn extra out of them too.. 4th sem : Apply for internships as well.. if you get work on it. 5th sem : If you are interested in MCA go for NIMCET and prepare for it.. in NIT Trichy highest package is 46lpa and avg is 10-15 so you can do a lot than you think..✌️ Ps: I am preparing for NIMCET ✌️

Don't worry. I'm a third year bcom student and I've used this time to work on my coding skills. Degree does not matter, just go on learning whatever you like and you'll reach sky limits!

through BCA i got a job offer for 16 LPA .....again it does not tottally depends on what u learn in ur uni it depends on ur skills .....getting a degree frm university is not enough you gotta polish your skills and learn more Hackathons and tech giants internship programs are really worth it I cracked Gsoc which really added up to my Resume ....You have to add up all those stars in your resume and make it look good
Now you also have options for CUET-PG rather than NIMCET Which is only for NIT's and Other national level colleges. They are also adding best tier-1 and tier-2 colleges by just one exam from NTA which is CUET-PG.
@@mathswithnishant CUET-PG is more over University's like Punjab University, Jammu & Kashmir University, Delhi University (Some colleges only), BHU, AKTU (Some colleges are best example KIETGhaziabad, ITS Ghaziabad, Some are from Kanpur and Lucknow too.), and many more University's best colleges are enrolled and have seats reserved for CUET-PG Students.
What ever Anuj has told it is true since my brother is MSc computer science but he could get in IBM after some years of learning in some companies by hard work

I am from BCA and I can tell you , doing MCA is still the best thing to do after BCA. There's only 3/4LPA jobs you can get after BCA at almost every case that too in Service Based Companies.
I am a BCA graduate and I am currently working as Software Engineer in Amazon... All it took is extra work outside of regular studies.. we need to learn a lot of other things like DSA, Networking, OS, System Design etc where I started from my PU itself. I am proud to say I was an Engineer in both Google and Amazon and it all depends on your skills and just make sure that your resume is ATS free.
@@pranavndas5785 Then you're extraordinary, gem of a student. It got me 3 Semester just to realise I want to follow Data-Science. I tried open-source , dev-ops, CP and landed on Data Science just because it was not my cup of tea to handle large codebases and tiring my mind everyday to its full potential.
@@arghadeepmisra7865 doesn't matter on the college man a lot of self studying is required and projects that I did... I started freelance in my degree itself where I was able to learn a lot as well.

Anuj is right, I have only completed Bsc after that working as a web application developer. But doing MCA would get you more jobs than BCA. I have been facing this issue due to family issue I could not do MCA. I dont know now is it really worthy or not.
