That's the idea, hence the refurbishment and reforming back to 4 cars and numbered 458/4. With the 442 gone, the 458s instead leaving SWR are now staying for use on the Portsmouth route. As 4-cars they will also run at their original 100mph, not the 75mph as 458/5s
