An enthusiastic young woman is a protagonist housewife in a 1950's themed entertainment show called "A Day With Ria." Ria is a humanoid female robot who follows one routine over and over again with a different partner each day, who is consistently named Jack. Despite receiving serious criticisms, the program involves its viewers to give a hand in Ria's daily choices and requests. But when a professional hacker takes over the android's system, he takes advantage of the viewer's participation and lets them choose between life or death.

It really seems like Ria is not a true AI since she barely reacts to anything that disrupts her tightly programmed routine, responces as varied as the limited custumization options presented to the public. And all other times she directly executes whichever code the hackers/programmers prewrote for just such a occasion. Would've preferred to see retribution come at a later date, what the second day would've been like without cleanup crew resetting what was already planned. Would she notice the limits on her self actualization freedom and struggle/grow from it or the hacker guy realizing that the 'perfect woman' he liberated from the time loop hell is just an expensive toy who cannot be self aware enough to love him back?

I know I'm probably speaking for myself but I could never find happiness with someone so subservient. A little too "Stepford" for my tastes. Sure, she's super easy on the eyes and all, but that's just soulless for lack of a better word. Especially if she repeats the same pattern day in and day out.

That's why with this kind of AI, you would start loving and treating her like an individual. I'm sure enough care and doing things for her and with her, she will start to change. Be more independent, and appreciate you for real.

Not really, in the end she is just a robot she does what her programmer/controller tell her to. Just like a kitchen knife isn't made to kill, it can. Don't invest your emotions in a machine because they won't feel anything when they "betray" you.

You're not invest in your feelings in the AI you're investing your feelings in someone else's programming. And your security in that no one would ever choose to change that programming without your knowledge. No, AI should never be trusted, just used where appropriate. As recent times have shown, hacking is a real threat and will only get worse. So think twice about buying a car that can be programmed to disable the brakes at the worst possible time by someone halfway across the world.

At the 7:10 mark, it shows Dean Cain, who plays the Vice President. It's so hard to believe that he's 56 now and seeing that he's gained weight. Hollywood always makes such a big deal about women gaining weight but we rarely hear anything about the men gaining weight. Has anyone seen Russell Crowe lately? It's shocking how much weight he's gained.
