Bart Houston was a 4 star and I personally believed he deserved more than just one year splitting snaps with Hornibrook. Always irritates me how we let Stave start instead of giving this kid a chance.

Didn't matter Bart Houston was a 4-star, he looked good enough and pulled off a huge upset against LSU, Paul Chryst favored Hornibrook which is why Bart faded. He was clearly underrated and deserved more than what he got.

The reality is the coaches are the ones who see the players in all the practices, not us fans. Could have been an issue with an expanded playbook, could have been consistency issues... who knows what the issue truly was, but Houston wasn't out there griping about it, so it didn't seem like something he was surprised with.

This was really a special year for Wisconsin. Even though all 3 losses were complete heartbreaks in really close games against top 10 teams, at least 2 of which we really should have come away with a win--all in all with the level of competition we played that year and to still go 11-3 was something special.

Crap I gotta make another comment because I forgot this point. I'm from Green Bay, this game gave me SO MUCH PRIDE! There were a solid 20k+ LSU fans that made the trip here. They were going through some flooding down there in Louisiana, and we just welcomed them with open arms. I recall several news outlets talking to LSU fans and they were just GUSHING on how Green Bay was the best town they had ever visited. It made me so happy to hear that on how well we treated LSU fans!

You're going to love and hate the Badgers, they're one of the best teams in the past decade in Win/Loss record, but they'll break your heart and deny you National Title game opportunities. Every other college football team has an NFL caliber QB on their hands except the Badgers, but they make up for it with an NFL caliber defense, an offensive line BIGGER than the Green Bay Packers, and some of the best running backs in the country on a consistent basis! they are fun! If you want to watch another game, look up their Big 10 championship game in 2012 vs Nebraska, it will make your jaw drop!

It's so funny, my favorite NFL game of all time was Packers vs Bears in 2014, the Sunday Night Massacre, for being the hysterical amazing blowout that I sleep to every night. But my favorite Badger game? It's this one.
The Badgers dominated defensively for 59/60 minutes, almost CONSTANTLY in LSU's backfield! They had 0 answers for our ELITE front 7.
Alec James, Conor Sheehy, Sagapolu, TJ Watt, Ryan Connelly, Jack Cichy, Vince Biegel, one of the best front 7's in college football history, and it was a 3-4! Prior to this game the media just shat all over the Badgers, they thought we were going to get blown the F out! They thought Fournette would run all over us, and Jacory Harris would look like an NFL prospect. Only A-Rod showed faith in the Badgers that morning on College Gameday! What happens? Fournette gets held to 7 rushing yards in the 1st half, and Harris throws a game ending pick to D'Cota Dixon! ON WISCONSIN!
I was JUMPING the moment the Badgers won! A real shame tho that Bart Houston would end up relinquishing his job to Hornibrook mid season.
Prior to Mertz, Houston and Budmayr were the only 4* QB recruits we ever got, both grade 80, and neither one saw much action (Budmayr got hurt). Now we have Mertz, and the Badgers are still reluctant to play him because experience (you can't be THAT conservative in college football!). Grinds my gears how they're treating an 86 grade 4* QB, if any other team got Mertz, he'd be starting right away.
