Layering is useless if they are at the point that they are breaking your wall with c4 it’s already gone
It can buy you a bit of time for turrets to do damage if they’re stego running with rockets but yeah most cases won’t do much.

Fun fact a rat hole is a tiny cave or hole with a tiny entrance or hidden a crouch or crack cave is a cave with a small entrance as well best caves in ark are 6 x

4: -most good caves are 6x
- layering isnt very meta (vault dropping is an exception)
- i feel like your forgetting they have to run/soak turrets before blowing the wall bc your stressing layering and cave dmg so much
3: -desert crack is not a rathole and it is 6x
2: -not necessary, should focus turrets until mid/end game
-pretty pointless layering walls and foundys, if they get past your turrets its already over
1: -depends what cave (depending on 6x range)
-turret limit can usually be worked around if you build it well
also its not the end of the world building in 6x dmg caves BTW, in the end it depends on your tribe size and skill as well with the accessibility of the cave and the convenience of the cave.

Look up Magic Ark Survival, he is a Yt with much better designs that actually work on official, he even has unofficial ones, both the official and unofficial ones have been been tested by him on both MTS and Small Tribes. None of it is like this bs in this vid.

There is no 3x caves there is ratholes that are as big as caves with 1x and actual caves that are 6x

I dont really understand why you would layer, if they are in a position in which they have the ability to damage the structure, they would surely just be able to let another rocket or c4 off, explosives are cheap, if their at the thing they're blowing up, and extra few c4 wont slow them down that much

@@finbailie6063 no desert crack is very good and not 6x but all caves that are actually a cave they built in is 6x the accidental 1s are 1x like desert crack and as much as I can respect an attempt to make good content you gotta know ur stuff before u make a guide channel misleading about 100k people who are new to the game

Also when he does his build 'guides' he makes huge crafting stations in small base spots and always builds the wall too far forwards, layers random shit and builds his useless designs like his 'vault traps' the majority of the ark pvp community has more experience and could do a better job

Lol. Most people crying about layering clearly have been hit a lot and don’t have a great base setup. Layering doesn’t guarantee someone won’t hit your base it just slows down the process. If you’ve made the task tedious and time consuming most likely you’ll either one hop on and catch them in the act or two they’ll leave your base alone. It’s like sensors on clothe doesn’t stop someone from stealing but could deter them away from doing so.
A few extra walls isn’t gonna stop someone who’s carrying a few c4 which they mostly do
