The shape is called Russian almond, it's my favourite 🙂
To me they look too pointed at the tip to be a Russian almond, but not pointed enough to be a stiletto. Russian stalmond? 😂
@@rachaelb9331 😂
@@rachaelb9331 You're right, they're called Gothic Almond, they're very close. It's mostly a show nail shape 😊Xx
@@HappiSabi I knew there'd be something for it. I never did competition nails so I'm always amazed by comp quality. These are lush 😍
@@rachaelb9331 Spot on word, lush! Perfect for a glitz and glam new years 😍🎆🎇Xx
So beautiful and unique! Between you and Anastasia's channel nailcou I've learned so much! Best wishes for a Happy New Year!
Anastasia was my teacher at Nails Pro Academy. Worth every dollar.
Yes I love both of them!!
same
They are my 2 fav!!! They both have similar styles I think that is why I love them both
The large “sidewalls” remind me of wings. Winged stiletto?
Beautiful Russian Almond. When I was in school we did this shape in gel and acrylic as well as the edge in both gel and acrylic. All in French tips. It’s much easier to make than an edge nail and just as elegant. Great job!
How long did the set take?
I would love to know the total time it took to achieve this set from removal of old product all the way through top coating? I'm in the US where people expect this kind of work in an hour or less, but sets like these always take me at least 4 hours and I'm trying to figure out if it's just me or if this is a normal amount of time to spend everywhere other than the USA. Thank you for the great videos!! 💖
You're most likely in the time frame. Or close to it. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Sets like these take a few hours at least. Depends on the person to be honest. The more practice and the longer someone has been doing nails differs from person to person. But for people to expect sets like these to be done in an hour don't really know how much time and effort it takes to do these kinds of sets. They don't do their research and demand those sets. It's ridiculous. I hope that helps in any way.
If people don't understand what something like this takes a lot of time, that makes me think they aren't going to take very good care of them. Specializing in 'exotic designs', you take the time you need for them to be beautiful!🤗🥰
@@JennTN411 And to build structure so they don't break once they leave the salon or wherever they get them done at. 🤗
I live in the US and I'm used to getting done at the mall in under an hour....but they don't ever look like this. I found a Russian nail tech by chance who works out of her home. When I sat down for my first set with her it took 4 hours. My husband thought I was 🤥 lol he was home with the babies,)
Now I now what to expect
My husband thought I was lying or cheating idk...but he said 4 hours is unacceptable and I said honeymy nails are the beat ive ever had and I'm never going back to the mall
Your voice is so darn relaxing ✨ i just got some new nail stuff in the mail today so I’m gonna go back and watch some of your videos
It’s her voiceover person doing English
Yes her name is Catherine! Her voice is so soothing!
This is definitely a "trust the process" design - loved the end result!
The shape isn't the russian almond but gothic almond ❤️️ Stunning, regardless of name, beautiful job well done. Happy holidays 🎄☃️❤️️Xx
They look like the shape of a fresh tube of lipstick. Lipstick nails! lol
I love your voice 💖 it's sooo relaxing 😌 and fancy 😎✨
I think you should call it a pointed coffin😊
I love a good gothic almond nail! I’ve never done one, yet lol but I love to see them! Gorgeous!
I’ve got tips this shape that are called ‘edge’ but personally I’d say they were Gothic Almond. They are a beautiful shape and stunning nails. Some have said ‘lipstick’ but lipstick have an A symmetrical tip. (Hope I got that right! In other words. It’s on the wonk 😂)
edge is really edgy. thats why it's called edge. if it's an edge form you'll see triangles or a "roof" when looking from the top and flom looking at the tips horizontally.
Most edge tips are not true edge nails. They truly can only be sculpted on forms. It’s an art. I’ve made 4 sets and they do take time to make.
'On the wonk'.... loooove it! 🤣🤣
@@andreawhisenant2718 true. currently wearing this form. took hours, but it's sooo worth it!
Absolutely stunning 😍
Very creative! Perfect for New Year's ! 😍
Love all your videos. 😊
That is a bold design!
Waw... this was absolutely gorgeous. I so want to recreate these! Amazing work!
Beautyful nails! I love this shape, and hope that one day I can do it for myself.
Definitely an almond, but I see that nowdays the different type of almonds are very mixed up. I mean a lot of years ago the gothic and russian poped up. Now not just those are mixed by everyone, but there are combined (hibryd) nails too. (Classic; modern - the old type, which is longer and slimmer with deeper smile line; gothic - bit "wider", with straight nail form; russian - slimmer, more pinched look with tilted up nail form; modern - the new one, which is more like between the russian and gothic; I saw edge-almond hibryd.)
Not even mention that almos everyone change the shapes how they prefer. Which is ok, but really confusing sometimes. :D
I think it is a russian almond. The funny thing is I heard a lot of time by russian professionals that they don't call it that way. :D I guess the name sticked because they started using this shape, and the world just named that. (Sorry if I made some mistake, but english is not my first language.)
If English is not your first language that is truly remarkable how fluent you can read and write. Amazing and talented you are
@@MissHawes0187 Your kindness ment to me a lot! Thank you! :)
Without a teacher it is hard sometimes. Lately I realised that I am mixing up everything a little bit (the meaning of words or the letters in words), but I learned a lot of new words and phrases. Probably my brain didn't have enough time to saving all the information properly. :D
I put lot of energy and time to learn that what I am able alone (without english teacher/school) but nice feedbacks from thoughtful people is always a huge compliment for me! It gives me more hope and impetus, knowing that I am not just wasting my time. :):)
Thank you again! Have a nice day! :)
I would call it….. the “Harvard” nail because it really exudes high expectations! ☺️
Truly unique. And the color or lack thereof, was perfection. The different kinds of reflective accents was genius. Call them Cake Walk. It’s what came to my mind!!
I’m in love. They look so gorgeous and stunning. Great work as always.
These are so gorgeous!! I love them so much! The design, the shape, everything! Thank you for sharing.
This set is gorgeous absolutely gorgeous. Great New Year nails. Thank you for sharing this beautiful design.
Fantastic!! Super chic and modern! How about calling it a "Beveled Russian"? In this case a Beveled Russian with a French finish...whatever you name it, it is stunning!
😱 They look like beautiful bedazzle hooves!! I know that sounds weird, but that’s what they look like to me and I absolutely LOVE THEM!! ❤️😍😁
I got a few builder gels that come in different colors. I am excited to try... Just need the time... I wish I knew a place that would do the whole 9 yards... Of a Russian manicure...
I know this is an old video, and I doubt anyone will see this, but I would call those dagger nails! They are stunning!
THEY’RE CALLED EDGE-LETTO always have been for years now love them
Wow! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING - pat on your back girl because you are AMAZING.
I was worried they were going to look like weapons, but they turned out pretty beautiful! So creative.
I thought this shape already had a name… Russian almond?
They are kinda pointy tho….. so, maybe Russian Stiletto….? 🤔🤩
I absolutely adore this shape they are stunning well done my sweet a gorgeous set as usual 😍🥰xxx
Beautiful set I love them they black 😍
I thought these was called lip stick shape? I might be wrong but I keep thinking Aerospace nails 💅
Thanks so much for your tutorial. I'm in love with Russian style nails but could never find a tutorial that would show me how to do them. Thanks 😊
Tatiana there's a European nail tech called kirsty meakin that does this shape really well as well. She called it a modern Russian almond. I still can't get this shape perfect but I love this gorgeous shape!
I've seen a similar shape called either a Russian Almond or a Modern Almond, but yours has that almost Stiletto tip, so a Russian Almondetto?
Kirstin Meakin did a set like this, she called hers extreme modern almond. I thought it was a Russian Almond, my favourite shape
Does this shape offer more structure protection for cracking or breakage? I'd assume so but ya never know!
So beautiful I could weep my dream nail shape, reminds me of the lipstick shape
I feel like these are the type of nails where you want to just want to put them on every surface and clack them just for boss vibes. You definitely cannot do much else with them if you're me. Ha ha ha.
I can appreciate the artistry but I'm not fond of the shape. I love the rest though.
I would call that a French Star-Gazer. 😍😍😍😍 Gorgeous!!!
this shape looks like an edge but rounded. like a mixture of an edge and stiletto form. how about naming it edgetto? or stilledge?
It's Russian Almond. Been around for years. ?????
Looking down from the top looks like stiletto, and from either side it looks like the lipstick shape, so maybe the name of this shape is femme fatale? 😅
I was going to suggest "dagger" or "scimitar " shape until I saw it already had a name. XD
Stunning design. We call the shape Russian Almond ❤️
Love the finish and shape on these!💖
Love the shape. It almost has a cut gemstone look so maybe it could be called diamond or chrystal
These look gorgeous.
I love this shape! - It's extreme I'm not gonna lie - but it looks so badass 🔥
You should call the shape "lip stick". The tips look like lip stick shape
This made me purchase the russian almond dual forms. Cant wait to use them
Beautiful. The shape is modern almond, isn't it?
I want to buy the green shell paper you cut from that big square!
This shape is a Russian Almond. It's beautiful
From the side with the mad c-curve they have a lipstick vibe
Wow! A work of art!
Where did you purchase the paper that looks like shell?
It's a Russian Almond. Gorgeous set.
I'm sure these are called 'lipstick' shaped nails. Great set! ❤
So very pretty. Is it a Russian almomd??
There called russian almond or modern almond
Is this called a Modern/Russian Almond
Hear me out on the naming - either knife's edge or icicles!
You could call this nail stiletto. Great job!
Stunning x thankyou so much xxx💖💖💖
Beautiful ❤️ winged eyeliner nail XXX
I would call this a Chisel shape from the side
Yeah….it’s my favourite shape
I've seen it called an edgeletto I think 🤔
Those aren't nails, those are weapons.
It is a Russian Almond some call it an Edge nail
How to do an infill on this shape? Thanks
I would call it a "shark fin"🦈
I’d call this a dagger shape ❤️
How long did this take you?
Nails are so beautiful!
I love these! Gorgeous 🖤🤍
The Russian Stiletto
Stunning 🥰
These are so fun!
Love it so much!!!
These are so gorgeous 😍😍
The look like shoes
Horse hoof shape!
Sabre tips?
I can see it already has a name, but I would call it "lipstick shape" 🤩
Lipstick is already a shape. It's kind of like a tapered square shape with a slanted tip instead of a straight tip. Like the top of some new lipsticks 💄
Space nails
Beautiful!!!
This shape is absolutely GORGEOUS. I wanna try and recreate these one day !🖤
I still can’t get into this Russian almond shape but the design of the nails is absolutely gorgeous
Stunning
These are absolutely freaking amazing!! Did this client request this gorgeous shape or was she model for you and you did whatever you wanted???
Absolutely gorgeous Tatyana 😍 I love those nail's...thankyou for sharing I hope you had a lovely Christmas xo 💜🎅🎁🎄
Офигеть👍
I was looking throughout your videos just yesterday, because I was trying to find this shape 😻 Thank you 🙏 You’re so talented ❤️
Beautiful nails.... Kristy Meakin did a set like this but made the shape out of a tip using the cutters in a slant to cut..it's so very beautiful
