The videos are back! Apologies for the lack of videos in the last few months, we are now back to our regular schedule 😊😊
The new van is stunning. Seems so light and bright.
Yeh it’s nice huh! Feels quite big for a small caravan (small in length not height off the ground haha 😆)
WOW.....COOL.....Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Yeehaa! 😁😁
Awesome new caravan! It was fun meeting you both. Great people with a great channel!
Thanks Randy ☺️ Was lovely meeting you too!
Thanks for the mention team look forward to following your next adventures in the new rig!
Cheers Team 😊 we are excited to get the Witi all installed in a few weeks time!
Wow, not bad, many adventures ahead, looking forward to your travels, Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🇦🇺
Cheers Bevan! Hope you are well 👍
Welcome back guys.
Thanks! Feels nice to post videos again!
Is truly an awesome caravan
Not bad huh! Bit of a beast haha
NICE GUYS, Congrats ! 🥳 lucky I put you onto them all those years ago haha
Haha yeh true! We have you to thank 😊
New to your channel after a UK Vlogger mentioned you. Your NZ vans are so different to UK vans. I guess as much as anything for the terrain? But outside they’re so very different to UK/European styling. Love the massive door for the bathroom at the back.
Thanks David. Welcome along to the channel 😊 I saw Graham had mentioned the channel, I enjoy his videos. Yeh we have a mix of English caravans here like Bailey, Swift etc and then caravans like ours that are actually made in Australia but quite popular here. You are right it’s all about being able to take them off road, in New Zealand we often go down gravel roads to campsites, in Australia they can drive for hours down dirt roads to get to remote camping spots. Only downside is the caravans are quite a bit heavier when compared to the English vans!
Love your caravan. Wish you all the best with your travels!
Thanks very much! 😊
Great to see you guys back on cam. Can’t wait to watch the first adventure in the new van 👍
Thanks! Busy editing the first adventure now 😉
Was nice to finally meet up with you guys, love the new layout.
Look forward to seeing you on the road someday.
Keep the wheels turning.
Nice to meet you too! We will see you out on the road for sure 😊
Good to see you back again. Looking forward to your next adventures & a good look at the new caravan. 😀
Cheers Dave! We will film a full tour video for sure 😊
So happy for you & your family’s continued adventures in your beautifully built and designed caravan. My wife & I finally pick up our Next Gen Tekapo caravan this Friday!! With all the unfortunate COVID disruptions to the Melbourne manufacturer’s it is both relieving and extremely exciting that we get to drive away in it in two days time! Yippee ! Shout out to the wonderful Inside Out RV owners and fabulous staff who helped us throughout every step of its specs & colour selection - we were treated like family. Hopefully we’ll get to meet you on our travels and look forward to swapping notes. Have really appreciated your videos and helpful info on caravanning in general and looking forward to viewing more. Have fun enjoying your gorjus new caravan. Blessings, Dee & James ❤
Thanks Dee & James! How did the pickup go!? How exciting 😊 yeh I think all the caravan manufacturers suffered a bit during COVID, lots of delays on supplies too. Must have been an exciting first weekend with the new caravan? Time to start planning some adventures 😁
Yay, great to see you back. It was lovely to meet you both at the motorhome show! I look forward to more videos from you.
Was lovely to meet you too! Thanks for coming by to say hi 😊
The new van looks awesome! Look forward to seeing future videos from you guys.
It’s pretty sweet huh! Bit of a beast 😁 gonna be fun to test it out on some gravel roads!
Wow what a great van! Nice for the kids to grow up in. Nice to see you back. Happy trails! 😊
Thanks Maureen 😊 the kids love the new caravan!
So happy for you all. What a great caravan; can’t wait to see more adventures from you.
Thanks KuraQueen! Hope you are well 😊
Exciting! We are into our 5th month full time 🙂
Been watching your videos ☺️the Beast is a beauty! Harvey loved the TV rising up from the cabinet!
Awesome, great to see the new caravan. Looking forward to following the next round of Adventures with Rosy.
Cheers Garth, hope you guys are well? That bub must be growing up fast!
@@AdventuresWithRosy she sure is, we are enjoying the longer days and warmer weather as she gets more mobile. Still getting away in the caravan occasionally
Nice, she will love the caravan holidays as she grows up 😊
So excited for you and the new caravan, it looks amazing!
Thanks, we are loving it so far! Had a few nights away already and it was awesome ☺️
Inside out have some seriously nice vans.
They are beautiful huh! This van is really nice, feels solid and well made. I’m keen to take it down some gravel roads and test that suspension out!
@@AdventuresWithRosy Go down the Forgotten Highway ... that gave our caravan a good rattle! Oh and great fish and chips at the Whangamonoa pub!
@@craignelson-swiftyenzed7578 oh that’s not a bad idea actually! Haven’t been down there for years 👍
@@AdventuresWithRosy Most of it is sealed but there's about 10 km or so of metal. Windy road but aren't they all?
It was great to meet you both at the show and have a good talk on camping and caravanning. The Caravan is looking great we see me and Wendy at the start of your vlog which was cool to see hahaha.Hope to see you out and about at a campground some day cheers guy’s.
Cheers Craig! It was nice to meet you and Wendy too. We will see you out there for sure 😊
Love your new van. I bet you're doing some excited planning.
We sure are! Planning a big trip back down south this summer! Can’t wait 😁
@@AdventuresWithRosy Woohoo!
Wow! What a beautiful caravan! Does this mean that I'll have to wear a suit and tie to come abroad? And is there a cover charge? :)
Haha no suit and ties anywhere near this caravan 😁 Jandals only!
I like that end club lounge Next Gen too great for entertaining but a dream for us, one day when the kids have grown up. Love your caravan, looks beefy and ready for some new adventures! Looking forward to seeing the bike rack setup on the back. Jacob just asked when were you coming here with it.
Haha yeh true! We said to Harvey that we will go away for Labour weekend and he said we should go and camp in your driveway! Might be a little too much driving for one weekend 😁
Hey guys, nice caravan!!! I really like the bed design, being rotated and make the overall caravan a bit shorter. My new caravan was also on display as well under Offroad Caravans Ltd, is very similar layout to your one with triple bunks, the only difference is we got an island bed setup. What is it like towing it with your Isuzu MU-X? I got a 2017 Dmax 6 speed manual, essentially the same engine?! It struggles little bit up on the hills and staying on 2500rpm+, never get to use the 6th gear and the ute feels a bit bouncy from time to time. Look forward to hear your experience with your truck.
Oh that’s cool! We both had caravans on show 😊 yeh we wanted to keep it short to try and keep weight down a bit, would rather use that weight for bikes etc. so far the towing had felt fine, we towed it will full water tanks the first time and then empty the second time and it felt a bit nicer when they were empty. Hills seemed ok, had to put my foot down a couple of times to get the old auto to drop a gear haha. I’ve not experienced that bouncy feeling before but I remember our old caravan being very heavy once with full tanks etc and it felt like the front end of the MUX was light, like we were a bit low over the back wheels. We are off on another trip this weekend so I’ll put it through it’s paces on some hills 😊
Now that you've had your van for a while, what are your thoughts on the east west style bed? Hubby reckons it'll be a pain but we co sleep a lot and those island beds are so high off the ground for our little ones.
Great question! We really liked it for the young ones, they would roll around on the bed as babies and one of us would just sit in the gap. It’s not to big of a deal climbing over each other. Even now the twins often end up in our beds haha. Another plus is it keeps the size of your van down. A North/South bed typically means the van is about 3 foot longer so there is that extra weight and length to consider 👍
Really impressed with the build quality of New Zealand vans, it far superior to British ones. Good luck on your travels.
Cheers Bob! Yeh this van feels really solid and well made guess the trade off is the weight, it’s quite a bit heavier than an English van but well worth it in our opinion. We will put it to the test on some gravel roads 😉
@@AdventuresWithRosy I think your vans are built more for off road than ours are, hence being a bit more solid where as a British van is more suited to solid roads and caravan parks. Still looking forward to your travels to see how it goes.
Caravan looks lovely. You will enjoy the island bed. Haven't heard of the brand in Australia but we have a couple of hundred manufacturers.
May I ask what the critical weights are for the van and if you can still tow it with the MUX?
Kind wishes and safe travels from South Australia
Hey Wayne, yeh we have heard there are a fair few manufacturers in Australia and heaps of them seem to be located really close to each other! The van is about 2450kg empty, can be loaded up to a maximum of 3500kg but our MU-X is only good for 3000kg so we need to be careful. We have been travelling with empty tanks etc and are not loading much in it, wouldn’t mind upgrading to a Ute if the budget allowed for it haha 😆
@@AdventuresWithRosy thanks for response. In Australia maybe the laws are different but no way could you tow that van legally with the MUX with 5 people and any luggage in the boot because the 3000kg technical tow limit of your MUX is subject to simultaneously not exceeding the cars GVM or its front axle maximum or its rear axle maximum or its GCM.
Not sure what year/model your MUX is but the average 5 year old mid spec with 4x4 weighs around 2100kg kerb weight and has a GVM of 2750kg add a brake controller, towbar and 300kg TBM (if you kept the caravan to that) and you are left with just 300kg for the whole family and any carry on goods which would be very difficult.
The 2022 MUX despite being labelled as 3500kg towing has only 180kg left for people and possessions if you put a 3.5t van behind because of the 350kg TBM.
In Australia if you are caught or crash with even 1kg over on any of the maximums you are uninsured and charged with driving an unsafe load.
Please be careful and double check the NZ regulations and limits as they may differ.
My brother in law has an MUX top of the range 2017 model 4x4 and because it has an 80kg bull bar stealing payload kgs he can only have 2 adults and minimal gear towing his 2800kg van with 280kg TBM.
Looking forward to watching your continuing adventures.
P.S. utes quoted as 3500kg tow vehicles are not always a solution I will send you a link about this and hope it helps. Sincerely, Wayne
@@AdventuresWithRosythis is the link I suggest you watch please about towing a heavy van with a ute.

What do they retail for approx?
Kinda depends on the layout and spec but around $140k. That’s with things like Lithium and decent tanks, solar, diesel heater etc standard 👍 we did a full tour video of ours if you are interested 😁
