Same here! I found the channel a few weeks before Shadow came to DDFT. I worried for her every week that she was in rehab on screen. I looked for her in subsequent videos after her graduation. When Luke announced her adoption, and Miss Red and Miss Violet's adoption, I cried.

Shadow’s transformation has been remarkable to watch unfold. You are a miracle worker Luke! My sister and her husband have taken in several pit bulls over the years. Each has become incredibly sweet, gentle and affectionate. I LOVE the breed. You have given Shadow her BEST life. It is sweet to watch her interactions with her daughters now.
This had me in tears, seeing and remembering how Shadow was when she first came to The Farm. I did not think she could be turned around, but I'm so glad I was wrong!! She has turned into a wonderful, loving, family dog. Seeing her beginning to her being cuddled by the kids and sleeping with her own baby is amazing. I love that Luke can read them so well and understand exactly what they need. Never thought anyone would use "sweet" and "Shadow" in one sentence, but it is so sweet when Shadow lays basking in the sun, living the dog life and loving every minute of it. After I wrote the above, I realized that these videos have a much bigger purpose. They show others that dogs that people generally give up on have the capability of transforming and becoming wonderful pets, given the proper structure, training, and love. Perhaps these videos will convince someone, some where, who has the time and will to put in the work - to adopt these "hard cases" and give them a chance and a home. It can be done. Look at Shadow. Look at Roscoe. Look at Molly, Naveah, and Chance. It can be done.
Shadow worked so hard to get to where she is today! She wanted to please Luke so much and did it! She is just a wonderful, happy, relaxed pup and is enjoying being a part of the Evans Family and all the pups that come to The Farm! I do love Shadow, and so appreciate the time, blood, sweat and tears you put in to training her. She really is a poster dog now for how misunderstood the breed is. They do what they do, because some human has told them to. Whether that's be good, or attack other dogs or people, they do it to please. She learned life is so much better to be a good girl, and have fun playing with dogs rather than trying to take their heads off. She's a beautiful wee soul. ♥️🐾🥰
I've saved this to my Favorites, because Shadow's story is the most amazing of all the dogs that have come through The Farm. She is testament to the fact that Staffys are not dangerous by nature, but by training, and that even as dangerous a fighting dog as she can be rehabilitated to a family and therapy dog when the trainer knows what he's doing (thank you, Luke!). That she continues to behave true to her gentle nature shows what a good girl she has always been down deep in her heart. Everyone ought to see this video!!! Thanks so much for working with her. Had Dee not stepped in and brought her to The Farm, she would have been euthanized for sure. Just look at the wonderful life she has now! All it took was vision, patience, the RIGHT guidance, and time to heal old wounds. I can never thank you all enough. Shadow and her babies have always been my favorites.

It's astounding to see Shadow's Farm journey all in one video, from being rescued after being tied to a radiator to her present days of beautiful naps in the sun. It's the school review and graduation diploma all gathered together. And I'd say that not only is she a poster dog for the good that rehab can do, but her training is a great testimony to both your training skills as well as your ability to be flexible in your assessments for what has been best for this misunderstood gorgeous soul! Apparently my original Comment got lost! Shadow had a sad and tragic beginning! No love or kindness only pain and punishment. Thanks to Luke’s expert knowledge of dog behavior and kindness we now have a sweet and gentle soul! Thanks to everyone on the Farm ,as well, this includes all the dogs. Thank you for sharing this video. I remember she had problems at the beginning, but didn’t grasp how serious. Y’all are saints for expending the effort to save this dog and teach her life can be wonderful. She’s such a sweetheart now and she and her little daughters are beloved. Shadow’s story is what introduced me to your channel and to the awesome work you do. Watching the progress of the various dogs and how hard you have worked with them all is amazing. I do love Shadow, and so appreciate the time, blood, sweat and tears you put in to training her. She really is a poster dog now for how misunderstood the breed is. They do what they do, because some human has told them to. Whether that's be good, or attack other dogs or people, they do it to please. She learned life is so much better to be a good girl, and have fun playing with dogs rather than trying to take their heads off. She's a beautiful wee soul. ♥️🐾🥰

I've saved this to my Favorites, because Shadow's story is the most amazing of all the dogs that have come through The Farm. She is testament to the fact that Staffys are not dangerous by nature, but by training, and that even as dangerous a fighting dog as she can be rehabilitated to a family and therapy dog when the trainer knows what he's doing (thank you, Luke!). That she continues to behave true to her gentle nature shows what a good girl she has always been down deep in her heart. Everyone ought to see this video!!! Thanks so much for working with her. Had Dee not stepped in and brought her to The Farm, she would have been euthanized for sure. Just look at the wonderful life she has now! All it took was vision, patience, the RIGHT guidance, and time to heal old wounds. I can never thank you all enough. Shadow and her babies have always been my favorites.
What a wonderful video, Luke and Sam! It's astounding to see Shadow's Farm journey all in one video, from being rescued after being tied to a radiator to her present days of beautiful naps in the sun. It's the school review and graduation diploma all gathered together. And I'd say that not only is she a poster dog for the good that rehab can do, but her training is a great testimony to both your training skills as well as your ability to be flexible in your assessments for what has been best for this misunderstood gorgeous soul! May you and all the dogs coming into your care continue to reap the rewards of your love and dedication. Brilliant. ❤
