So true! Sadly, there are many dogs still out there in situations similar to Shadow's. She is so lucky Dee found her and brought her to Luke and Sam. She's a perfect example of what Staffies are really like when given a chance.
For me, Shadow’s story is the most tragic and remarkable. We’ve all come to love her milkstache and gentle ways. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks or ways of being? I love the greetings she gives to Chance❤️.
So very grateful for the time, attention, HOURS of training and love Shadow got from you Luke. She is very special, and you and your loving family have brought that out in her. Good on ya mates❣ Love all the Evans❣
Shadow is my heart! You gave her life! How can someone hurt her like they did before!! It's devastating! BUT now she can nap in the soft grass and collect all the kisses and lovins! THANK YOU!!!!
I really appreciate going back to see what the rehabilitation of these rescues have been like. Shadow was quite a challenge and worrying. Her progress and change was so gratifying to watch. So, much love, patience and training went into her . She is so fortunate that she landed in the Farm and Luke's care. Thank you.
I remember how gutted you were as to the extent of Shadow's problems, but you never gave up on her. You saved her from certain death & now look at what a wonderful pack member she is.
I stumbled across your channel just as Shadow began her rehab. I was so impressed by your patience and compassion for her that I became a member. I still love seeing her pop up in the videos and watching her looking so happy and relaxed. She is a credit to you (and herself of course).
I too found this channel around the time Shadow with puppies arrived and her long and arduous journey began at The Farm. I was totally smitten with her, her puppies, Luke and Sam and The Farm❣️ I had never seen anything like it! That is why I adore little Miss Violet💜. Now..SO many have “passed this way”. Thank you❣️
That’s around the time I found them, too! Shadow’s story is an amazing transformation and a reminder to always have hope. I love watching her enjoy getting to just be a dog, living the good life on the Farm and leaving the horrors of her old life behind. ❤️
Same here! I found the channel a few weeks before Shadow came to DDFT. I worried for her every week that she was in rehab on screen. I looked for her in subsequent videos after her graduation. When Luke announced her adoption, and Miss Red and Miss Violet's adoption, I cried.
What you have managed to accomplish for Shadow is nothing short of a miracle. You have literally saved her life. The change is just amazing and makes me so happy to see her now compared to the dog she used to be. On behalf of Shadow I thank you.
Shadow has a special place in my heart. I think she's been thru some really bad things. I was so happy you guys adopted her the farm is a safe place full of love.
I wished they showed more footage of Shadow sunbathing or barking at birds in the trees, which apparently are her favourite pastimes now she can relax into her surroundings. It's so good to see Shadow's transformation into a dog that loves life. Well done Luke & Sam.
Love from the Netherlands. You cannot imagine how many world wide follow these troubled dogs becoming loving, soft and beautiful again. Thank you so much for all you do. 💖🦋💎🦋💖
I can’t even begin to express the overwhelming gratitude l feel for all the hard work you put into Shadow. From back when she was so aggressive to now and seeing her so relaxed and loving life is the most wonderful feeling❤️
It would have been ‚easy‘ to just give up on her from the get go, but that’s never been an option for Luke and Sam. So much work and love put in which is the only way to achieve such extraordinary result for Shadow. So happy for her 🥰🤗
Shadow has overcam her past by becoming the best good girl and paying the love forward to the other dogs working to overcome their past. Well done Shadow!
Seeing the wonderful socialised girl Shadow is now it's all too easy to forget the hours and weeks of work that went into her rehab. Her life changed when she arrived at the Farm. Thank you all. 💖💖💖💖💖
I love Shadow so much. I remember the video where she and Barney were adopted by you guys, and, it brought tears to my eyes. She has come so far, Luke you are just amazing with what you have done to all the shelter dogs 💗❤️
Shadow worked so hard to get to where she is today! She wanted to please Luke so much and did it! She is just a wonderful, happy, relaxed pup and is enjoying being a part of the Evans Family and all the pups that come to The Farm! A lot of hard work on both her part and Luke's; but with a wonderful payoff!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I thought that Freddo was the shelter dog, that worried me for their future the most, no applications for adoption. How aloof he made himself at the beginning. His food aggression. And then the changes came, he was adopted into the family and farm life, he found swimming and mastered it, he found family and protected it. And then Shadow came. And I think I can speak for everyone that watched that public post, of an assessment. And wow. I knew it was gonna be uncomfortable to watch due to Sam’s descriptive write up on the post. But I was still taken aback. At the time it was confronting to watch. And internally I worried, for her future, for the team dealing with her. But the little star pupil she became after looong intense exposure and training was stunning. She is the little dog that could. 🐾❤️🐾
One of the things I love about this channel is getting to be a part of the journey. To see the continual progress over time, and then to rejoice at the outcome with everyone. Realizing not every endeavor will always turn out a complete victory, I’m confident that if anyone can make it happen, it is all of you at the Farm. Thank you!
I have gained so much more understanding, knowledge and compassion having watched Shadow’s journey. It’s been tremendous to see her learn to trust, love and be loved 🥰 thanks Luke for not giving up on her !
I remember at the start feeling concerned for her future and look at her now. She still makes my heart melt when I look into that beautiful face and eyes of hers. Thank you to the entire Farm team for such a happy ending ❤
I'm so proud and happy for Shadow. I'm always searching her out in all the videos. I'm so grateful to all of you who worked with her. You're all amazing people
Humans can learn from Luke, Sam, the Farm, providing and giving trust, confidence, reliability, and leadership works. Luke never assigns a time line, never compares one dog to another, respects each distinct personality.
You gave such a gift to Shadow and she returned the favor and gave you two of the sweetest, cutest, most special girls, Miss Violet and Miss Red. And you all lived happily ever after! 💞🐾💞
How wonderful is the transformation in Shadow. What a blessing for all the dogs who begin their lives in such a horrible way and end up with such good people like you two who understand them and don't condemn them, but teach them the right ways so they can be happy and good. What a great talent you have.
I followed Shadows journey... she had such a gorgeous face and her eyes so full of love... she just needed help to find that love that was always in her... and TEAM Shadow (Luke and co) helped her find it... she is a credit to all the work and hours that you put into these shelter dogs... well done guys... the day you adopted shadow was one of the best days... (up there with Freddo's adoption) Enjoy your life Shadow sunbathing and chasing birds in that little piece of heaven called THE FARM...
This had me in tears, seeing and remembering how Shadow was when she first came to The Farm. I did not think she could be turned around, but I'm so glad I was wrong!! She has turned into a wonderful, loving, family dog. Seeing her beginning to her being cuddled by the kids and sleeping with her own baby is amazing. I love that Luke can read them so well and understand exactly what they need. Never thought anyone would use "sweet" and "Shadow" in one sentence, but it is so sweet when Shadow lays basking in the sun, living the dog life and loving every minute of it. So grateful she gave us the Misses V and R!! More grateful that Luke and Sam gave them the perfect loving home and we get to share in it!! Thank you and love to all! 🐾🐾💜❤👶🥰
Training humans is key to success with dog behavior. I am so relieved that you adopted Shadow, only an experienced dog trainer could have safely adopted her. You (and your dogs) did an amazing job in changing not only her response, but changing her perspective, she learnt that dogs are not targets but friends. Brilliant!
I remember those early videos and I was so afraid that Shadow wasn't going to make it. Now just watching her taking her sunbaths makes me smile. Shadow is the image of hope and second chances.
I absolutely love watching Shadows journey .. She is such a loving, cuddly Staffy . She has so much love to give but was not able to give it . Well done to you Luke & Sam for making such a decision to keep her on & to rehabilitate. Such hard work very much rewarded ..🐶
I've saved this to my Favorites, because Shadow's story is the most amazing of all the dogs that have come through The Farm. She is testament to the fact that Staffys are not dangerous by nature, but by training, and that even as dangerous a fighting dog as she can be rehabilitated to a family and therapy dog when the trainer knows what he's doing (thank you, Luke!). That she continues to behave true to her gentle nature shows what a good girl she has always been down deep in her heart. Everyone ought to see this video!!! Thanks so much for working with her. Had Dee not stepped in and brought her to The Farm, she would have been euthanized for sure. Just look at the wonderful life she has now! All it took was vision, patience, the RIGHT guidance, and time to heal old wounds. I can never thank you all enough. Shadow and her babies have always been my favorites.
Just imagine how happy Shadow must feel. In a relatively brief period of time, she has gone from a cruelly treated, hungry, puppy-producing machine to a happy girl who is now living a polar opposite life. She had to be strong to survive her previous experiences, so it isn't surprising a little bit of attitude still exists in her and that she still regularly needs to be reminded about the Farm rules. Watching her choosing to sleep in the sun & play and run on her own terms must feel so good to her & is heart-warming for us to see. Helping herself to the soup was one of the cutest videos ever. Sweet Shadow, I'm so glad that Dee, Luke & Sam came into your life because you really are such a lovable girl❤
That’s a MAMMOTH amount of hours but my goodness did she come good!! Look at her now! Credit to you Luke, Sam and all the Farm team, she just needed guidance and love and a pack who didn’t give up on her, and boy did she get it!! Credit to her too, she only ever wanted to be the goodest girl 🥰💖
I thought the same about the hours. I knew it was alot but goodness. I now see more clearly why they dropped DDFT. The time given for the hard case shelter dogs is incredible and it's paid off. All the ones before, yoyo, zac, freddo, ,etc plus now Roscoe, chancyboy, Neveah and Molly getting her forever home is just wonderful. 💜🐶❤️
Cannot adequately put into words my emotions while watching this incredible video. I remember when Shadow first came to The Farm, and how devastated you all were when you realised her cruel background. Your love, dedication and expertise through the many hours of rehabilitation and socialisation are outstanding……and ended in the best possible way for Shadow, all of you and all of us. Thank you for everything you did, do and continue to do 🙏❤️🙏
You have said it Sue. My emotions were mostly tears, watching again how damaged she was when she came to the farm, and how she gradually changed, to where she is now. I love when I hear her yip and bark when playing, and see her soft eyes. Thank you Luke and Sam and all of you.
Its the relaxation and contentment that I see in Shadow now that makes me so happy for her, she no longer has to be constantly on guard for perceived threats coming her way. Totally changed this dog's future.
I do love Shadow, and so appreciate the time, blood, sweat and tears you put in to training her. She really is a poster dog now for how misunderstood the breed is. They do what they do, because some human has told them to. Whether that's be good, or attack other dogs or people, they do it to please. She learned life is so much better to be a good girl, and have fun playing with dogs rather than trying to take their heads off. She's a beautiful wee soul. ♥️🐾🥰
I love all the dogs but Shadow really tugs at my heartstrings. The best girl after all the hard work from all of you. Thank you for helping this precious girl. 💕💕💕💕💕
All this time later, and this video of Miss Shadow's story of success, never gets old, and never ceases to bring happy tears. It fills my heart with joy to see her today be the very happy, healthy minded dog she always wanted to be, and with the safe, loving family & pack that she always needed. Shadow is living a full life at the farm as the Evans showcase model of just what Luke and Sam have set out to do for dogs who are at the last chance doorstep.❤🎉🥰
I love these more in depth look at the farm dogs. Sometimes we need to be reminded just how far these dogs have come, and how much work (and so many hours) of training and socializing it takes to turn their lives around. Shadow just as so many others is a testament to the love and dedication Luke and Sam and everyone involved has shown these dogs. There are not enough words to express the gratitude and thanks I feel for you, and being able to follow The Farm and your family from across the world!
I would say that you are a miracle worker Luke, but I know that's not the case. It is all your hard work, commitment, dedication and never ending love that brings these dogs back from the brink. You are truly a man among men ❤
Without you I doubt that Shadow would be here. Or Miss Red and Miss Violet. Shadow’s hard work with your training, love, and care gave her the life she should have had from the start. How can some people do such terrible things to animals?! It’s heartbreaking and so, so cruel. Thank you Luke and Sam for adopting Shadow and her girls. Thank you for all the hours put into training Shadow. Thank you for providing the best life ever for them! Watching this, living this must make you so proud and satisfied with what you are doing. I can’t say it enough-JOB WELL DONE!
I went through tears and laughter throughout Shadow’s video. I love seeing her lounging in the sun and being a sweet mum to Miss Red and Miss Violet. Through hers and your hard work she’s become a really special part of the pack. Thank You 🙏
Shadow had a rough start in life! No love only punishment! So very sad. Now with Luke’s expert knowledge in dog behavior we have a precious sweet dog. Thank you Luke and The Farm for this beautiful transformation! I’m in love with Shadow and her gentle ways. Welcome to a wonderful world Shadow. Love you to the moon and back! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
How wonderful to have a whole video dedicated to Shadow. She truely is your poster girl. My favourite bit about Shadow is when there is high jinks going on at the pool, Shadow can be found lying out on the road in the sun snoozing…..just living her best life. ❤️🐾💕
I remember when she was brought to the farm and along with others cried many tears thinking of how she was treated and concerned for her future. I did LOL when Luke said she would only be there a few weeks….she has a great now because of the love and compassion of Luke and Sam. Milo is just such a sweet, fun doggie, he just wants to play and be friends. Thank Ben for capturing her story so well. 🐶💚
The tense hours of work with Shadow are sobering. The importance of continued routines/training is always emphasized by Luke and crew. I cried when we first found her and the puppies; and I smile when Shadow is warm and safe in the healing sunshine at the Evans farm.
Thank you for saving Shadow's life Luke. With all the hours of training you spent with her, the trust and rapport you built with this beautiful dog, she now is having the best life with you and your wonderful family at the Farm. A beautiful video. 🐕🐾🐈👭🏡🌎👋🤗🥰❤
This is such an amazing story, the hard work you all did, so that 1 dog finally became happy and safe. That she is important. It breaks my heart, that some people can hurt, such an innocent soul. Thank you for making the world a better place, for everyone.
It just goes to show what lots of love, patience & great understanding from Uncle Luke & all those kind people who work at the farm can achieve. Including Aunty Sam, Elle, Evie & Wolfric. 💞💞💞 A big thank you for not giving up on Shadow. ❤️❤️❤️
After I wrote the above, I realized that these videos have a much bigger purpose. They show others that dogs that people generally give up on have the capability of transforming and becoming wonderful pets, given the proper structure, training, and love. Perhaps these videos will convince someone, some where, who has the time and will to put in the work - to adopt these "hard cases" and give them a chance and a home. It can be done. Look at Shadow. Look at Roscoe. Look at Molly, Naveah, and Chance. It can be done.
11-7-22. She’s the BEST GIRL! She is a miracle! Evan’s’ family are Angel Animal Warriors! Much love and respect. So thankful and very blessed to have run across your channel over 21/2 years ago! 🙏🏻 Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Amy, Alabama USA.
“Shadow is the Poster Girl for Rehabilitation at The Farm.” ⭐️ There is no doubt about that. My utmost of gratitude to Luke, Sam and The Farm for your commitment to rehabilitate Shadow and for providing her with the best environment to flourish and live out her best life. 🫶 🐾❤️🐾❤️
When ever I see Shadow my heart leaps. Thank you Luke and Sam for giving this precious girl the home she should always have had. To see her now, happy, smiling, playing and being her real self is just wonderful. Brilliant work all involved in giving back to this truly gorgeous girl. ❤
Knowing her terrible start in life, how far she's come, how hard she tried, and how happy and content she is now, makes you love and admire her all the more. Of all the dogs, she is the one that makes me marvel every time I see her...usually with a lump in my throat. Shadow is awesome.
I remember how sad I felt then, watching Luke and channeling his feelings! But I also knew and trusted that this, too, would turn around!!! AND it did!! 💙💜❤️
🤣🤣🤣. As if Luke could have sent her back to the shelter in that condition. Lol. Thank goodness he and Sam didn't. She is now an integral part of their family and the rehabilitation team, bless her.
Shadows story is just amazing. I rescued a staffy/pitt from the streets and she was my best friend and protector for many years when I was homeless. Shadow reminds me so much of my baby Bryndle. I gave Bryndle to a better home with my friend and his GS dog Kiera as they could provide her a better life then starving on the streets. Even now all these years later after shes passed away and I have a new life of my own off the streets, I miss her ever single day. It breaks my heart to see dogs treated like this. You have all done an amazing job.
I'm so glad you were able to help Bryndle, and that in return she was your friend and protector. When the time is right, I feel sure Bryndle will send you another companion of the 4 legged variety to become your friend as only dogs know how to.
The soup incident is still one of my favorites. Shadow is thinking ‘no dad, who could it be?’ Knowing that she was guilty. Shadow knows being super cute will get her out of trouble with dad.
"She's only going to be here for another 3 weeks". When I first saw Shadow I thought that this was one dog who could not be saved, but I wanted her to give humans another chance, and she did. She is one of my favourites and so loving and forgiving. Thank you you Farm from Perth. Xx
There’s no such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners/trainers! You lot are awesome and saved her life 👏
Remember....Dogs are the best people!
So true! Sadly, there are many dogs still out there in situations similar to Shadow's. She is so lucky Dee found her and brought her to Luke and Sam. She's a perfect example of what Staffies are really like when given a chance.
Well said.
Totally... she's awesome...love her
👏🏿👏🏻👏🏾👏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Shadow turned out to be such a sweet dog. You guys never give up, no matter how bad the situation. Look at her now❤️
I've ugly cried for this precious girl. You have literally saved her life 🥰
Me 2 & I don't like 2 ugly 😭
Me three....
Me four, ,many times
Doesn't matter how many times I watch it I still get brought undone. She has come so far. You wouldn't think it was the same dog..
Me too and I’m72 yo male.😂but now it’s happy tears!
For me, Shadow’s story is the most tragic and remarkable. We’ve all come to love her milkstache and gentle ways. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks or ways of being? I love the greetings she gives to Chance❤️.
You just said everything I was thinking - even the milk statch…. ❤️. Love that sweet girl !!!!!

Maybe they'll make another video of Shadow! I'm in, all her goofy sweet traits.
She certainly does love to sunbathe. She looks so peaceful when she does. Just enjoying life while enjoying the sun.

💜🐶❤️
Love Shadow❤❤
Now I need a Shadow tshirt that says "Life is short, lick the soup" 😂♥️💗
YES!😂😂😂😂❤
Amazing what love, patience and compassion do. Love all the dogs but Shadow and her girls are my favs ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful recap of how far Shadow has travelled. And a lesson to us all in believing and what time love and patience can achieve
Shadow is such a special girl and a wonderful addition to the family. Job well done precious girl.
Shadow is living a full life at the farm as the Evans showcase model of just what Luke and Sam have set out to do for dogs who are at the last chance doorstep.❤🎉🥰
and now the biggest crime Shadow commits is stealing soup.. the transformation is remarkable.
You are truly a man among men ❤
Shadow’s transformation is one of your greatest achievements to date 👏 👏 👏
Shadow's success and ability to continue to parent Miss Violet and Miss Red and stay at the Farm brings tears of joy! Thank you for what you do.
How wonderful to have a whole video dedicated to Shadow. She truely is your poster girl. My favourite bit about Shadow is when there is high jinks going on at the pool, Shadow can be found lying out on the road in the sun snoozing…..just living her best life. ❤️🐾💕
She's definitely my favourite, i started following this channel because of her.
The Farm saves lives.
The end of the video, with the soup...... priceless!
Oh yeah!! How good is Shadow now? Because lots of training and patience from Luke and Same and Jason!!! I love Shadow!!!
And what a wonderful addition to the family she is 💕
The story of Shadow is truly a journey of "hopeless to home " - thanks to Dee & The Farm.
Thank you for saving Shadow's life Luke. With all the hours of training you spent with her, the trust and rapport you built with this beautiful dog, she now is having the best life with you and your wonderful family at the Farm. A beautiful video. 🐕🐾🐈👭🏡🌎👋🤗🥰❤
I sadly remember when Shadow was sent to Luke and Sam. What changes they and she made with love and support is supercalafragelistic 💞❤️❤️❤️
This is such an amazing story, the hard work you all did, so that 1 dog finally became happy and safe. That she is important. It breaks my heart, that some people can hurt, such an innocent soul. Thank you for making the world a better place, for everyone.
This has opened the flood gates you guys are absolutely the heroes of the misunderstood tears of joy for shadow ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeah for me too.
Look at what your hours of love and dedication have done.....amazing !
Just love love love Shadows story! Than you Luke and Sam! You guys are amazing!!
Shadow is paying it forward. Nothing short of a miracle! She is today the dog she was meant to be. Love it!
Shadow is so a super naturell Dog.
It just goes to show what lots of love, patience & great understanding from Uncle Luke & all those kind people who work at the farm can achieve. Including Aunty Sam, Elle, Evie & Wolfric. 💞💞💞 A big thank you for not giving up on Shadow. ❤️❤️❤️
I 💗 Shadow! She's now living her best life!! Well done, Shadow!
Thanks!
“Shadow is the Poster Girl for Rehabilitation at The Farm.” ⭐️
There is no doubt about that.
My utmost of gratitude to Luke, Sam and The Farm for your commitment to rehabilitate Shadow and for providing her with the best environment to flourish and live out her best life. 🫶
🐾❤️🐾❤️
Remember Shadows journey well! From heart breaking to heart warming! And totally inspiring! ❤❤
My go to video when I need a pick me up. Such a wonderful video...thanks Luke, you are amazing. 😃
She’s only gonna be here another three weeks oh God bless you guys!
All the best to you. And maybe there will be at some stage another pup who you are able to keep .
Give her a chance after the pups are gone.
Dont put her down because shes being a protective mom
"She's only going to be here for another 3 weeks".
When I first saw Shadow I thought that this was one dog who could not be saved, but I wanted her to give humans another chance, and she did.
She is one of my favourites and so loving and forgiving.
Thank you you Farm from Perth. Xx
