Hey there! I had a little mistake on the dates of the Leafs games I want you to upload if you have them. The game where Domi was after a fan against the Flyers took place on March 29, 2001. That's the actual date of the game. I was wondering if you happen to have it?
Because of the NHLPA as it is today and their agreements, it's highly unlikely something like this happens today. We've seen players, typically not 1st rounders, but players refuse to play for teams before or demand trades, but nothing theatrical or public or as juvenile as this. Everything is done behind closed doors. Adam Fox didn't want to play for Calgary or Carolina, before agreeing to play for the Rangers. And even though Fox was drafted 66th overall, if he'd been a 1st rounder, I think he probably would have put on the jersey and then asked for a trade after the fact. It's never a good look when a player publicly says they won't play for a team and then won't put on the jersey at the draft. No matter how good you are, teams will be reluctant to pick you up. The closest situation I can think of is maybe Pierre-Luc Dubois, but he didn't do anything at the draft. He's just asked for a trade from 2 separate hockey clubs and then underperformed. Lindros was the opposite. He publicly refused to play for Quebec (screwing himself long term) but when he did get to the NHL, he was a force, if often injured. I also remember as a Canucks fan facing Pat Falloon and the Sharks. Everyone kept thinking Pat would break through and be a star, but it never happened, even though I can remember the Sharks routinely taking 2-0 leads in the early 90s on the Canucks before they'd storm back. Vancouver was known for their slow starts back them. What else is new?
WOW THIS IS GOLD ...APPRECIATE THE UPLOAD
This was the greatest NHL Entry Draft ever. Pure drama
I'm from Hamilton, I remember Stojanov, he was the only reason to attend Dukes games.
20:33 - TSN mispelling Cheveldayoff.
Imagine Selanne and Forsberg in Winnipeg together.
Classic 1991 suit and tie on Lindros. I miss that style. I was 17 this year and I had a similar suit
That suit is probably over 13K!!!
Sadly, believe this was Pens coach Bob Johnson's last TV appearance.
Eric Lindros was so handsome with that gorgeous hair and stunning pectoral muscles. I get shivers all over when i see any vintage Eric Lindros film
19:15 Hartford Whaler/Carolina Hurricane legend Chuck Kaiton!
Bob McKenzie kept talking about Brent Bilodeau, who fell to 17, and didn't even play a single game in the NHL.
As Billy Bob Thornton said in Bad Santa, "They can't all be winners kid".
