    Thank you so much, I'm doing my GCSEs in 2 years (sounds like a long time, but I have a lot to learn still) and I'm terrible at histogram, thanks for helping me out.

    is there a video on how yo find the width and height of histograms?

  • @TheJoelus
    @TheJoelus 9 лет назад +2

    When I was taught this (at 15-16 years of age) we never went into upper and lower bounds. Wondering which way is correct at my level of mathematics

    In class when working out the class width and in other tutorials why don't they find the lower and upper bound sometimes?

  • @rosehathaway8201
    @rosehathaway8201 7 лет назад

    That makes a lot more sense, thank you. I just have a question. For the first class why is it 0 < d < 9 instead of - 0.5 < d < 9 ? If it is 0 does it make it an exception to the class boundaries rule? So confused. Any replies would help thank you.

      Distance cannot be negative that is why

  • @Aerotissue
    @Aerotissue 12 лет назад

    The upper bound of 50 is 50.5, as you know. There isn't a set boundary stopping the ball being thrown that extra .5m - think of it a bit like uncertainty - you can't be certain the distance is exactly 50. At 0 on the other hand he can't throw backwards so it doesn't have a lower bound.

    • @Tom-hn9kf
      @Tom-hn9kf 7 лет назад

      Shanzay Ali well its a year late response but its cos the lower bound of 10 = 9.5 and higher bound of 14 = 14.5 and 14.5- 9.5= 5

    What would the class width be if we are dealing with continuous data?

  • @9yearsago113
    @9yearsago113 8 лет назад +3

    Even if u threw the object behind you the object would have traveled a greater distance than 0 meters, as you can't have negative meters even if your facing the opposite direction to the thrown object.

    • @joop5415
      @joop5415 6 лет назад

      You can have negative meters if it's displacement.

    if its not to nearest meter is it just the difference i.e 0-9= 9 not 9.5

    Eps in a book endorsed by cambridge i saw that it can be -0.5 -9.5 for 0-9 xD
    And wow i have exams in like 4 h

    • @deeptik9225
      @deeptik9225 4 года назад

      Then in another example i saw it bring 0-19.5 for 0-19

    • @deeptik9225
      @deeptik9225 4 года назад

      I guess for discreet data you should use the -0.5 - 9.5 and if it was continuous then it'd be 0-9.5

  • @charliejones5665
    @charliejones5665 10 лет назад

    Is the class width of 0-9.5 not 10.5?

    • @ExamSolutions_Maths
      @ExamSolutions_Maths  10 лет назад

      No. It cannot have a lower bound of -0.5 as the length cannot be negative so it must start from 0
