In this mv the arrow represents all the hate comments she gets. She is mostly unfazed about them and don't really show much attention to it. But the arrow (the hate) she throws at herself hits her the most and the hardest. This mv made me cry so much.
That was my impression too, and the moment moved me before I even put a meaning together. Such a simple, but moving MV. Another idea I heard is that it was Hwasa killing a part of herself, which in turn allows her to stand untouched at the end.
LMM is Lost My Mind. Hwasa said one day after work she went home and suddenly had hard time breathing and she cried a lot, she felt uneasy about her future and couldn't think of anything happy. She felt like throwing up and just wanted to run away. She wrote how she felt in LMM lyrics. In the mv she's just living her life when those arrows appears, some enter even in the place she is living, so she decides to go away from that place. The only arrow able to reach her body is the one she shoots herself, stabbing her in the back. Basically it means she's not hurt at all by what people say about her, what really destroys her is self-criticism, when she treats herself badly. You never see her running away or panicking, she doesn't fall down even when that arrow hits her back. In that moment she decides to go back to her place and faces head on those arrows. The amount of arrows keep on growing and in the end they are so many to cover the sky, but none of them can touch Hwasa. In the last scene she's unharmed surrounded by arrows, it's almost like those arrows created a flowery meadow. Calling back the phrase that open the mv "Flowers do bloom even in rain falling down". Hwasa symbol is a flower and those arrows raining down are the hate people keep throwing at her, so this means I will bloom even if you keep on hating me.
The arrows are the hate she has been receiving all throughout her career. As you noticed, those arrows never hit her, except one. The one that she shot herself with. Meaning, she's not affected with all the hate she received but when she brings herself down, that's what hurt her.
I teared up a bit watching this. The song was already so meaningful, but the visuals really hit home. No matter how many arrows were shot at her, no matter how many times she was hit, she kept going and eventually she became strong enough that they didn't even phase her anymore (the ending scene where the arrows all went around her, like she had some kind of force field). Hwasa, for me, is one of the, if not the most, inspiring idol out there. I'm happy she was able to overcome everything. She deserves so much love.
She got hit by her own arrow. The arrow she charged. Most likely, even though she dodged the others's opinions, she became the target of her own doubts and self hate. Someone put it this way "All the attacks, the slander, the hate... but the one that will truly hurt us most is the hate with put in ourselves". If you notice there are 3 phases. Phase 1, she is not even seeing or acknowledging the hate/arrows. Phase 2, eventually she gets hit by one in the process of escaping/showing the back at the arrows. Phase 3, that is when she accepts the hate and criticism she realises self love and acceptance and becomes so strong, no shit can do no harm.
I don't know if you remember Woogie (from the Hwasa loco collab - he was the producer) but he linked Hwasa up with thr Director called HOBIN for this music video - Hwasa she and him spoke for a long time about the music video plan and were so engrossed they even spoke over dinner. He's a great Director - it was like a movie
She was receiving so much hate every day represented by the arrows but she was ignoring all of them at first but the arrow that hit her was actually fired by herself symbolizing hate finally got to her, she started to doubt everything. In the end, so many arrow shot at her but she was still standing in the end on her feet. Don’t understand why people hate her so much. 😢Beautiful human being both on the inside and on the outside👸🏻. STAY STRONG HWASA
This MV is so well produced. As we all know the Arrows symbolize "hate" or "negativity" targeted at her. Notice how the arrows keep on coming, no matter where she goes, they are literally everywhere. Lyrics like "we are just trying to avoid it", "do you wanna go somewhere" means how hard she tried to avoid the hate. She decided to face them head-on and instead of walking away from them, she is walking straight towards them. One very important thing to notice here, out of all those arrows the only one that hit her was shot by herself. This depicts that she is her biggest enemy when it comes to hurting herself (emphasizes too much self-criticism) - this part just broke me. The ending scene is so powerful, look at the number of arrows directed at her, they almost cover the sky. But in the end, none of those arrows hit her and she is standing unscratched, meaning she will always come out stronger against the hate that is thrown at her. This whole cinematic scream how much pain she feels and how she tackles them. LMM was already awesome but with this, it became a cinematic masterpiece. Remember Hwasa's FanCafe reply to a highschool moomoo who is going through a lot: "The person who can make you unhappy is no one but yourself". Hence that one arrow hitting her is too damn meaningful. Also, the line "Flowers do bloom even in rain falling down" is a conclusion to this MV. "Rain falling down" means the number of arrows that were coming at her in the end scene but flowers still bloom even in this situation and Hwasa is the flower.
She got hurt by her own arrow. I don't want to imagine but her anxiety could've gotten worse before preparing the album and thought of harming herself. Luckily, she always got moomoos and MAMAMOO to support her. She's really the strongest artist I know 🥺🥺 We don't deserve her.
I literally cried after listening to the song, I've listened to it in the album but the MV made me cry even more, Hwasa deserves only the love and support ! I wish she will always be happy
This is a visual, musical, spiritual masterpiece. Hwasa touched me so deeply with her deep soulful voice and her lyrics. I cried when she shot herself with the arrow and then tries to hold back her tears. I lost it. LMM deserves song of the year!💚
It's incredible how many language caption translations (15 languages) there are for this music video. I think because it's such a powerful and meaningful message everyone wants to share the lyrics so people can have the full impact of this song.
LMM talks about all the hate that hwasa receives, which in fact is a lot, from mamamoo it is the one that suffers the most damage, in this song she wanted to reflect, through the arrows, the criticism but only the arrow that she shoots is the one that causes harm, so only our opinions about ourselves are the ones that can truly harm us
"Flowers do bloom even in rain falling down"---> Hwa Sa symbolizes a flower and the arrows resembles the rain, which also equals the hate people keep sending her.
I was wondering if the arrows were just the horrible words received from others. I guess she just walks through em without paying too much attention, until she eventually questions if they might be right. So in a way now she has added to her own hate. The only arrow to actually hit her was her own.. .wow. I'm assuming after she hit herself, she learned to heal and now knows what listening to all the horrid comments can actually do to her. So now she ignores em? Or atleast now hows how to better fend for herself. Wowww what a great MV! That was really strong

2020: Hwasa becomes the definition of emotion
