Thank You very much for uploading. My freezer door was loose for the last month and was driving me crazy trying to figure out how to get the handle off to tighten.
This was amazing! I couldn't figure out how to get my handle off. In my case, I had to push it to the LEFT. Maybe it was installed upside down? Thank you!
Hey, thanks for this because it helped me. I had exactly the same issue with the left side bolt sticking out. I blamed it on my kids. After FINALLY getting the handle off I discovered that whoever installed this for us originally (Lowe's) had put it on BACKWARDS. So my original movements--matching yours--did not work. When I did it the OTHER direction, it popped off. After tightening all the screws, I reinstalled it the correct way to match yours. Dziekuje bardzo!
After getting mine off and looking at the hardware, I'm not sure that there is a "backwards" in this situation. Everything is set up so that the handle could slide off to the left or the right, all depending on which side of the handle was facing up when it was installed. Mine slid off to the right, not left, and I put it back on the opposite way.
Thank you for this video. Now i know what i have to do to fix it. I had a Whirlpool technician fix my freezer not closing fully, but he had no clue how to fix the loose handle which was very frustrating to me. He looked around and could not see any bolts and said he doesn't know...
What is the model number of your 'fridge? I am not only struggling to remove the handle, but there are conflicting videos re: the direction to slide it in order to remove it.
I struggled to it for about 15 min. I had to really move it around a bit to loosen up those bolts and bang it hard to lineup with to opening to be able to pull it out.
After taking mine off, I could see that the direction to slide is entirely dependent on which the direction the handle was oriented when it was installed. If you flip the handle 180 degrees, it would go on in the opposite direction but look exactly the same because it is bilaterally symmetrical. So it could slide off either to the left or right -- you'll just need to experiment to figure it out.
Thank you! Once again, generous folks on RUclips save normal homeowners hundreds of dollars in service calls.

Thank you. I wasn't pushing hard enough to get the posts past the locking tabs.

Thanks for your comment. I'm not surprised that technician had no idea. That's why I made this video. I'm glad I could help.
@@MaciejPiotrowski Thanks again. I fixed it finally thanks to your video, and my handle is like new now !

So I can't get the handle off period. I want to know how you get the handle off when the tab is poked out like you said
It took me a lot of wigle to get it off. It was not easy.
Thabk you!!
Slick design but I prefer a bolt you can see!!😄
