Thanks for the teardown! I want to use these as my desktop speakers by modifying them a little. Wasn't sure how easy it was to open it up.
I don't really care how good it sounds, but I just like the look of them.

not possible, because the free space for the battery is very narrow

Okay, how good do these things REALLY sound, they have a mini subwoofer, but does it actually make that much of a difference?

I have one looks exactly the same but different manufacturer. I can tell you that this is a very powerful little speaker for it's size!
