Though the Good and the Beautiful does not describe Level 7 Math as Pre-Algebra, Level 7 does indeed teach both Pre- Algebra and Algebra concepts; especially course books 3 and 4 of the set.
Thank you for this video. Is The Good and the Beautiful going to be pre algebra plus other high school math courses? My 8th grader is using Math 7 as of this week. So far he likes it. I would love for him to just stay with this curriculum from here on out.
I have a 7th grader and I am still trying to figure out the right science curriculum for this school year. I was looking at the Apologia General Science just the textbook, student book, and test (not the online self paced course) for all the reasons you stated in your Apologia GS video. If you don’t mind sharing, what were your son’s reason for disliking Apologia General Science? Thank you
The reason he disliked it was because we had been doing a science that was a lot more hands-on and he didn’t have any physical work to do so the structure of having to take notes and do real work with stressful for him, but I recommend that you allow your 7th grader to use it it’s a great program so that he/she gets used to the hard work for eighth grade and beyond. I wish I stuck with it. I will have a homeschooling update coming up soon.
Hey, do you think TGAB Language Arts Level 7 could be use for a 8th grader without supplementing? I am from the UK and i have never used it before. Thanks
Yes, I do because it is considered 7/8 grade and when they are done it, they are supposed to be at high school level. My son is going into 8th and he’s still doing it.
Do you grade their work daily? We use the good and beautiful too! Although I’m thinking of going to a math that grades for me as I have 6 kids 😂 but level 7 does look good 🤔
Wow that's a lot of grading lol I try to grade daily but honestly sometimes I forget and go through three days at once which makes him have a day where he does any corrections.
Sure. He does math first thing when he wakes up. Then he does language arts. After that he takes a break. After break he does his little subjects like handwriting or typing which he alternates during the week. And lastly either science or history which he also alternates . I hope this helps. If it makes you feel better, we don’t get it all done every single day. We just do our best.

Awesome that makes me feel much better so thank you commenting this.

Do you plan to have him do the prealgebra through the summer before 9th grade?
Yes I do definitely.

Teaching Textbooks is great. It's self-grading, shows corrections with explanations/examples, and just very interactive.
@@amy4484 I heard it’s below math level though. What do you think? I only used it for one child a long time ago and for a short season
Please could you share your son's weekly/daily schedule? We seem to have less than you and I can never fit it all in? Thank you :)
