The guage reading won't actually be wrong, it's equal to the conditions it was set up in, so for most guages that'd be sea level pressure at most likely 20-25°c. I'm only splitting hairs in this comment, I don't mean to say anything about burping is wrong because it's all about the relative differential pressures.
TIA, got a used trailer with the same guage installed on trailer tandems. Facing problem to take the reading. Whats d right way to scale weight reading.
Hi: I have a general question regarding gauge design: On some of my dial-type tire pressure gauges, the pointer rests against a stop(fully left or zero), and my others, the pointer simply resides in a zero 'box' or zone when it is reset, or not measuring anything. What are the advantages and disadvantages to either zero design, aaaand: does it matter that much where the needle rests inside the zero box on gauges without the zero rest?
I have a question I need a oil pump pressure gauge minimum 150 PSI It also has to be engaged that I can use with diesel gas oil kerosene do I need to buy what's called a combo pressure gauge I want to make my own I know I need a high pressure hose and that was my other question when I make the hose up I need a 300 PSI hose hydraulic hose what kind?
The needle is most likely moving because the gauge is seeing pressure as it's being tightened. This means there's a slight pressure in your line. My guess is your system is sealed everywhere except for the port you're screwing the gauge in. If you have a relatively sensitive gauge, the space the male thread is taking up in your system is causing pressure as you tighten down the thread further. My suggestion would be to bleed your line slightly after installation to alleviate some of this pressure. If that's doesn't work, then you may need a new gauge.
Kodiak Controls Your right. After installing the gauge and turning the needle valve all the way, The gauge went to the right pressure that was on the natural gas ⛽️ line. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for watching. If that happens then pressure build up in the case is not the reason the needle is off of zero. There could be a variety of reasons why the needle is off of zero such as over pressurization, the gear shifted in the gauge, age, etc. If the needle is slightly off of zero and it has an adjustable pointer, then I would suggest trying to adjust the position of the pointer. Take a look at our "How To Fix A Pressure Gauge Off Of Zero" video. That might help.

Hey mate, the bung on my pressure gauge keep poping out the top, any idears why ? Its on a pressure washing pump. What if the pressure gauge does not have the venting cap?

If you have the version with the brass fitting accidentally being pulled out too far, how do you reset it as it’s fallen below zero?

Hi
I bought my pressure gauge a few months ago and now I noticed that it's leaking from the bottom. Is it time for a new one? Or is this common?
Yes you have to buy new as leakage pressure gauge wont last long

can liquid filled gauges be used horizontally?
Surely orientation does affect the principles but it will be a non suitable choice ergonomically
