Formula = Birth date x 6 + Month Number (From the table) + Birth hour (in 24 hour system) x 60 + Minutes Check the total in the table for lagna numbers and that is the lagna. If it's more than 1440 then subtract it from 1440 and the difference should be checked in the table of lagna numbers for the lagna.

My observation is that this method does not work for birth in countries ( like the US) when daylight saving time is applicable
