The little ring valve on the front is the purge valve for removing excess air from the tank after use. The black valve near the bottom is for draining water that builds up in the tank due to condensation. Just a little more info for what its worth. Thanks for the review brother.
The combo kits that are being sold now are different for 2020 (DWC1KIT-B). The compressor is 78.5db instead of 75.5 (for people that don't understand how db is measured, for every 3db increase its technically twice as loud). The compressor no longer has two gauges (just one now). The right gauge has been replaced with a big pressure adjustment knob which is not that accurate. The nailer no longer comes with sequential and rapid trigger options to easily switch between... just sequential (grey trigger). The model of the 18ga nailer is DWFP12231. To get the rapid touch trigger (black lever), you must buy and then install it separately yourself. Another change, the hose is now black and only 25', and the outer diameter is around have that of the yellow version. That change is ok imo, because it's way less likely to get dirty like the yellow hose would, and the overall slimmer diameter is easier to carry/move around while connected to the nailer. Oh, and no more swivel connector for the nailer... just a regular straight one.
Home Depot selling these for $170 now, with my 10% off I’ll be picking it up for around $150 to finish off my basement crown molding. Thank for the review!
Believe it or not I never owned a compressor and nail guns but now I need one I'm curious to know well this DeWalt 6 gallon pancake be strong enough to run a DeWalt framing nailer if not can you recommend one
Thanks for the video! I'm also considering the exact same compressor. My question is, can i still use the compressor unplugged? Lets say i build up the pressure to max PSI, then i unplug, roll the tank to a different location and then use it to paint in an area with no electricity? Is that possible?
