Quality of books is decreasing as the price of paper goes up. But I also suspect some publishers to take advantage of the popularity of booktok and booktube to increase prices. Plus, distribution services are more and more under pressure and are less careful with the books, ence the poor quality of books at the end. And in, let's say, 20 or 30 years, your books' pages will most likely be yellow/light brown with ink fading, because the paper has been too acidic for years now.
I agree with all these points but also the girl neglected to mention that those were YA and the last book is adult. Those books have always had around a $8-10 price difference. Im not sure if she didn’t know because Leigh Bardugo wrote YA first.
