let me know if you guys want more rambling videos like this lol.
I am currently hanging out on an RV because it’s so cold a lot of Louisiana and Texas lost power lol.
And it’s not even that ridiculously cold most of the time, just colder than the power companies prepared for.
    Thanks Obama

This was like kinda beautiful man. It’s a very specific type of mood that’s rare on RUclips and honestly I’m just glad you shared it.

Wall-o-text warning cuz this triggered a few thoughts:
So, I got a degree in English with a focus in Creative Writing, and as you may have guessed, that degree did jack-all. It didn't actually prepare me for a career in writing, how to submit work, how to sustain yourself, etc., I would have had to get a second degree in business or something. It DID help me get an office job that just required me to have a degree (didn't matter what field, I guess to prove I could stick it out and finish something). That job ended up being my current job as an "accounting assistant." What I've learned is that every business has it's own terminology and way of tracking their profit and loss. As much as I've learned at my current job, I know I'd have to do a lot of translating if I tried to get a similar job at a different company. I have a feeling you'll have to do that same "translating" after getting your accounting degree.
I haven't even been writing too much myself recently (graduated over a decade ago). I've only submitted like one thing for a contest, and the few things I was cereal-ly putting out on the internet died out. But I've been trying to get back into it. I've learned a lot recently from, like, writing advice youtubers and my main takeaway is that you have to write a LOT to get the shitty writing worked out of your system. The first 10 (or 20) things you write aren't going to be any good because you're still working out what's good for your style... or even what is your style. Just assume everything you write at first will be shit, so it's a learning experience, not a depressing reflection on the extent of your talent.

Yeah I agree with that, I started writing in 2010/2011 so now 2021, I think the people around me are starting to see a little progress, although I'm still unsatisfied lol. I will say that I don't totally hate my own writing though, I can write some scenes that I really like, but not a script that I like from front to back, not yet atleast lol.
And also yes, college can be a complete wash lol.
As far as you writing, when I'm writing a new script I try to do 10 pages a day, regardless of the quality of those pages, I end up with alot of trash but I also move forward pretty consistently, maybe you can do something like that!

Kind of a big fan of this loose personal story-based structure alongside the game. Best of luck with your studies!
