- Mountain bike riding Flying Squirrel cross-country loop at Chicopee Woods. If an older guy like me can do this, you can too! As Fall approaches, subscribe to see upcoming videos of hiking, back packing and hammock camping in North Georgia.
I'm pretty new at this so let me know what you think!

Nice description of your ride. I ride Chicopee quite often and I go the same way you do. I usually stop at Left Nut Brewery after the ride. LOL. Great review.
Lol, thanks Sandy! I’ve never stopped by the brewery. Is there a bar or store or something?
Trail Breaker It is a micro brewery. Good selections.
Sandy Butler I can’t believe I never stopped by!
Thanks for watching! Sorry about the smudge on the screen. It goes away pretty soon.
Sweet, I'm just a beginner, did the tortoise twice, didn't know flying squirrel is that good.
Will check it out next week.
It's the icing on the cake for me there! Just take white tail trail clockwise until you get to a post with multiple signs called "confusion Corner." Take it to the right down the straight-away. So fun!
What day is it clockwise?
@@markczechalien3592 Once you get past tortoise everything is bi-directional. However, MOST folks tend to take white tail clockwise (the only way when at the bottom of tortiose or village trail). Oh, and there's a short flow/pump trail toward the end of white tail just before the granny climb that only runs clockwise. It makes sense when you ride it :-)
@@TrailBreaker Have you tried Flying Squirrel clockwise? It's my favorite trail too.
@@cmrice98 I have. I normally ride it ccw and occasionally then cw it I have the time (and the legs :) )
Nice video! I liked the commentary. Thanks for posting. I ride there a couple times per week.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.
New subscriber in Toccoa Falls! Loving your content! Any suggestions on where to meet some fellow riders and how to find trails near me? Thanks in advanced! New Fan Jay
Name Last First Name Thanks, Jay! Welcome! I really love the MTB Project app. It’s got a ton of user-contributions and is very accurate. When you expand the map view trails will show up like blobs of spaghetti. Just touch a trail and you’ll see a description and profile view as well as difficulty rating. I use it when I travel to find places to ride. Trail Forks is good too.
Go steve go!!!
Thanks, Bordo!
