i think the main reason is the new vision of carl pei. as oneplus was launched with a vision to provide good specs phone in budget after he left the company and created nothing, i think he saw that oneplus has now merged with oppo and most of the uis are becoming the same to differentiate them from others they chose monochrome design but due to this new design their execution of software updates gets bad i hope u find my point useful

Zflod(worst front display) pixel(is the shittiest at it’s price and the greatest dumbshit tensor) vivo(not good ui) But still with the controversial motherboard dead reasons oneplus is also at red point.
