Hello Clarity! I am a uttarakhand pahadi , i have studied some history of uttarakhand as a hobby and in it i found that in ancient times uttarkhand was populated by 4 types of people namely kol,kirat,shak,khas and now uttarakhand hilly regions are mostly populated by khas people(Another branch of aryan people who had different migrating pattern, they came from tibet) who have genetically blended with tibetan's and these three too. It is said that the kol,kirat,shak migrated eastwards towards nepal (may be due to war or just naturally). I wrote because may be there is a relation between these two histories of these two different regions. Waiting for second part :)
