This quilt block is amazing! And to be perfectly honest? I like that you’re human and do t necessarily “edit” out any boo boo’s or mishaps that you work through it and explain it every step of the way. That to me makes a great learning tool because we all get turned backwards and sometimes feel stuck! Lol. Thanks so much for all the time you put into this for all of us out here🥰
you are welcome!! the applique AND folded fabric looks amazing together. there are so many other quilt blocks in this collection. Maybe I will do another one!!
It’s amazing what effect you can get just by doing a quarter turn on each block. Great to see another amazing Anita goodesign project. Wish my machine was that fast but definitely wouldn’t want to get my fingers near it!
I watched the video to the end finally. I thought the fabric was the design. DUH!!!! The colors of thread are gorgeous. Your choice is beautiful. As I commented earlier I have trouble with matching fabric and most times thread colors. Sometimes I get my husband to help out LOL or I match the suggested one in the design.Truly love these videos. You've opened so many doors for me now.On to the next project.
I sometimes have the same issues with fabric. My solution? Layer cakes and fat quarters that are all in a bundle. for this set, I purchased the layer cake and yardage of the fabric. It's easy and gorgeous.
Thank you for such a clear way of showing the various processes you take as you go through the design. ( I do love the way Anita Goodesign designs turn out, especially this one.) I particularly like the way you keep in your 'boo boos' because you always show the way you can correct them- saves time and waste - and alot of grinding of teeth! The quilt block looks amazing and the colours are brilliant. If my machine were to stitch out as fast as your multi needle I should go boss-eyed; I prefer a more 'ladylike' speed but then again I do not run a business!
If I make a mistake I always keep it in the videos. Part of learning is making mistakes - and so many videos out there just show "easy perfection" and to me are not realistic. Boo Boos happen, and I will always leave them in
Hi. What an awesome tutorial. It's really nice that you've added your additional tips. The fabrics you chose are beautiful. That's where I have some issues, coordinating fabrics that go together.Thank you for sharing with us.
I haven't tried ITH quilting yet but you're video and anita's design make it look fairly easy. Might have to put it on my 'to try out' list. (when i get my machine fixed).
Hi there , it's great , I will like to make it , but how can it be make in a hood 4x4 ? Can it be smaller or maybe you can put it in 4 pieces , using the sides 8x8 cutting it in four pieces of 4x4 and then putting it together , can it be done ? You r so nice and easy to understand , love u
I have this pattern and am planning to do 4 in the 10 inch size, where can i find the templates in the file? It wasn't in the tutorial. Lovely pattern.
Sue, this is absolutely gorgeous! Both design and fabric! What collection is the fabric, by the way? I can’t tell you what a godsend your videos are to a beginner like me. Thanks for all your effort putting these out. Melissa Noel
are you ever able to go back and purchase designs such as this. Saw the quarter turn quilt but there was no embroidery included. I dont want to purchase the book subscription, but have seen some designs that I like and would consider purchasing back dated issues
ok listen to this. The Husqvarna large hoop which is 360x260 makes the 8 inch square (with the a at the end). To find the best use of fabric, print out the 10 inch square (or the aaa ending) and use that template to cut out your fabric. This uses the correct shape while retaining enough fabric to fold. Don't forget to add a half and inch or more on the outside edges for salvage. cuts easier.
I love this design and your instructions are so easy to follow. I have the perfect collection of fabric that would suit these designs. Will need to check out where I can get Anita Goodesigns in Australia. Thank you - you are Ms Inspiration +++!

Most of the designs in anita goodesign have all sizes included. this collection has the smallest size as 5x5, so yes, you can do it in your hoop!!
This is a great video! I am loving the colors you chose! Simply stunning!

What’s the purpose of the folded fabric?
folded fabric looks exactly like quilting the "old way" by sewing the pieces together. I think it looks great!
OML Embroidery Thanks for explaining it
Beautiful
thank you! it was so much fun to stitch!
Will this work in a 6x10 hoop?
yep! Anita Goodesign included many sizes in their collections. For this one, the size C 6x6 will work for your hoop.
@@OMLembroidery Thank you!
What fabric did you use?
shirley weller I used a fabric set from Craftsy. I have the layer cake and then i purchased some yardage from the same line.
What month AG All Access is this?
ooops, sorry! it is February 2019 called Quarter Turn Blocks
Thanks 😃
What is the folded fabric technique?? I don't understand the reason??
Cindy King
Hi 😊 I think it’s just a seamless line, as apposed to a satin stitch or running stitch border. Looks different. 😀✌🏽
