Im in Vietnam. Just bought a beautiful local made acoustic for 1,750,000. Dong. Thats 68 USD. Its of decent quality. for under 150 one can get a great locally made acoustic here. 🙂 A lot of guitar shops in Vietnam, you would love shopping here Joe.

I remember 2002-2004ish sometime Musicians friend had acoustic Rogues (I think) for like 70-80 bucks. A friend of mine got one for that price and got a mandolin for free as part of the deal

My Recording King parlor guitar is my porch picking beater. It plays well enough, and sounds good enough for the $120 I paid for it. If it gets knocked around, I just shrug. That's why I bought it.
Parlor guitars are great. Small enough but still a real guitar 😁
@@JoeHopkinsmusic Agreed. Only things I'd change would be a neck connecting at the 14th fret, and a cutout to play up high. But then it wouldn't be a parlor.

That little guitar sounds great and I'm picky with acoustic tone. Is it a Harley Benton? Is it a solid top?
